What is Polly, and what problem is it built to solve?

Polly is a platform for creating surveys and polls within collaboration tools such as Slack, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom. It helps teams gather feedback, encourage engagement, and review responses in the digital workspaces where they communicate.

What languages does Polly support?

Polly supports 1 language: English.

What company sizes and industries is Polly the best fit for?

Polly’s strongest reviewer-reported fit spans small businesses, mid-market teams, and enterprises, with particularly visible use in software and IT services. Other represented industries include telecommunications and higher education.

Company size — Small business: Teams with 50 or fewer employees.
Company size — Mid-market: Organizations with 51–1,000 employees.
Company size — Enterprise: Organizations with more than 1,000 employees.
Industry — Computer Software: A prominent use area for quick polls and team feedback.
Industry — Information Technology and Services: A prominent use area for gathering input and making group decisions.
Other represented industries: Telecommunications and higher education.

What customer support options does Polly provide, and how do users find the overall support experience?

Polly offers self-service resources and direct help through email/help desk or chat. The support experience can be responsive and useful, with users describing quick explanations and practical help; experiences are not uniformly positive, and some users have found follow-up lacking.

What tools and platforms does Polly integrate with, and how do these integrations help users get more value from the product?

Polly offers 2 integrations, which help bring polls and feedback into collaboration and work workflows.

Team communication: Slack.
Project and developer workflows: Slack Connector for Jira.

Using Polly in Slack makes it easier to share polls and collect responses in the channels where teams already communicate, reducing the need to move to a separate survey flow.

What features or capabilities could make Polly even more useful?

Polly could be more useful with richer poll controls and more options for tailoring recurring activities. The most useful improvements would include:

More flexible poll formats, including ranking, sliders, and ways to combine question types.
More control over editing polls after they are sent, including changing questions or closing dates without starting over.
More scheduling and targeting options for reminders, including automated reminders for people who have not responded.
A broader, refreshed selection of templates, trivia topics, and team-engagement activities.

What do you like best about Polly?

I love being able to use Polly in order to administer weekly quizzes to my team. It is important to ensure that we keep up on our knowledge within the company, and this program makes it easy to test everyone and see individual results and trends Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Polly?

I wish I was able to to add pictures and videos to the quizzes or even audio files. This would allow me to have a more hands-on quiz for my agents in tested in their knowledge on calls and different equipment Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Polly:

It is a great program to test your employees on a variety of concepts. It is very customizable and easy to use which is much appreciated for someone who had never used a program like this before. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Polly solving and how is that benefiting you?

I am able to test my agents' knowledge on topics relating to our practice so I am able to see where further training is needed as well as areas where they are excelling as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Adding picture, videos etc has been an ask for a while now. It will be great if you can share the platform on which you are using Polly (i.e. Slack, MS Teams or Zoom) so I can add your details as well as part of the product feedback channel. Looking forward to hearing from you here or at contact@polly.ai

"Makes polling easy"

5/5

What do you like best about Polly?

I can easily create a survey within a Slack channel--I can use commands to create surveys quickly, or I can go to the polly dashboard to use more advanced functionality. My favorites: creating templates to leverage quickly over and over. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Polly?

I would like more flexibility for when to send polly reminders (picking specific days). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Abeeda Haroon of Polly

edit

Wow you are using Polly within Slack as well as through our dashboard 🤩

Yes you are right, currently reminders can be set not for a specific date rather they are based on hours/mins/days/weeks. What is available though (more like a one off thing) is to send a reminder by going into Controls of the polly in the dashboard.

For now, I'm going to add this as part of the product feedback channel so the product folks can explore this feature further 🙏

What do you like best about Polly?

As a Slack-focused organization. I love that Polly integrates with Slack. It's also incredibly simple and easy to use Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Polly?

I wish there were ways to better integrate Polly into a regular slack message vs. looking like it's coming from a bot either in the app on in a channel. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Incredibly simple & easy to use" ... You made our day with these words 🤩 Thank you 🙏

Regarding your feedback around the Polly looking like a message, you mean to suggest that for how the polly appears in the channel or the responses or the auto reply you receive after response. If it will be great if you could share some more details around this at contact@polly.ai so we can take it up with the product folks.

"Best polling app ever!"

5/5

What do you like best about Polly?

The ability to vote for multiple options and see the progress for each of them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Polly?

There should be an option for voters to edit their votes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Abeeda Haroon of Polly

edit

Thank you so much for taking out the time Jishnu 🙏

Regarding your comment about editing, voters can edit their vote till the time the polly is open. Just click on the option you voted earlier and it will remove the vote (in case you can vote once only). If you are allowed multiple votes then you can click on multiple options and your vote will continue to register.

However once a polly is closed then it means that the author is accepting no more votes so then you won't be able to make any changes to your responses (unless the author re-opens the polly again). Hope this helps.

Let me know if you face any difficulties, I'll be happy to help💙
