One thing I dislike about Pictory AI is that the template selection feels limited and not very impressive compared to other video tools. The feature I use the most is Script-to-Video. You literally just paste your text, and it builds the video for you. Usually, AI tools pick really weird or irrelevant stock footage, but Pictory uses Getty Images, so the clips are actually high quality and make sense with the context.

I also love how easy the captioning is. We have to pump out a lot of Reels and Shorts for clients; taking a long video and chopping it up used to take my team hours. There isn't much to complain about, but if I had to pick something, I’d say the AI voices could be a tiny bit more flexible. Customer Service rep is an A-Hole - not get US culture and its idioms and vernacular variations. Instead of diffusing the situation by solving the issue, they go on the defensive, and that is an obvious sign of poor training of the outsourced provider that Pictory is using. Shame on Pictory and its seed round investors for not keeping an eye on a delicate matter that can affect user onboarding due to negligent customer support.

If you (Pitcotory) charge over 23 USD per month, there better be support to authenticate the browser cache issue when using the Google Sign-in feature, especially when multiple accounts can be used. Instead of deflecting and absconding from the user issue, the company and its outsourced Customer support take a stance of absolute and sheer ignorance. It's simple to use and has good features, I like the most that just with my video script it automatically generates the full video and puts the captions on it, if you have a voice-over or want to create it the software automatically syncs it to the video what is amazing!
