&lt;p&gt;The practical checklist here is shorter than the vendor pages make it look: an EU processing region, a signed DPA, and clarity on whether the optimizer stores originals or only transforms in transit. That last one is what data protection officers actually push on, since transient processing is a much easier conversation than storage. Worth knowing that several vendors can pin processing to EU regions on request even where the marketing doesn&#39;t say so, so I&#39;d ask directly rather than ruling anyone out from the pricing page.&lt;/p&gt;
