When the company I work for switched to Perimeter81, I was surprised there has been no degradation of connection speed and quality as it was with usual VPN. I can work from anywhere: from my apartment in the city with fiber optic connectivity, from my summer house in the countryside via mobile network or from any cafe, beach bar, etc. The connection is safe and I never noticed a lag. **What do you dislike about Check Point SASE?** Sometimes, when I'm trying to create a route to a local destination using a Google Maps site, the city of Dallas is determined as my location, and I'm thousands of miles away :-). The best part is tech support. Literally, in minutes they reply and solve your queries on the same day or within the same hour too. If you are running an enterprise company or startup, I would definitely recommend Perimeter81 VPN. **What do you dislike about Check Point SASE?** Sometimes there are connection issues. Also, I feel there are certain places where I am not even able to open the app (Probably it has to do with the firewall but I never had any similar issues with other VPNs ) **What problems is Check Point SASE solving and how is that benefiting you?** It gives secure connection to our common servers and all the members are securely connected via that IP. As a consultant I use many different connection tools, and Perimeter 81 is by far the best. It gives the client I am working for security and is not too stressful for me to use (some other methods are). Two factor authentication via my phone is used, but not an excessive amount. Perimeter 81 then stays connected until I disconnect, which is not always my experience with other similar tools. My username and password are also saved on my pc, saving me additional typing. It feels easy, stress free to use, and yet very secure for the connection. Many of my clients have multiple environments established in AWS. Perimeter81 simplifies network connectivity to the different environments. Connecting new VPCs is as simple as setting up site-to-site VPN to the Perimeter81 gateway. **What do you dislike about Check Point SASE?** The current version of the Perimeter81 client disables IPv6 on Windows. It protects secure access using multiple security solutions from CheckPoint, providing numerous security solutions such as NGFW, Web Gateway, ZTNA, Email/Browser Protection, DLP, Threat Prevention, and DNS Security. A single agent is installed on the endpoint, or users can connect via a browser to access these services. CheckPoint has integration with CDN and SD-WAN, so traffic is routed without adding latency. Access to services is provided via a secure tunnel. ZTNA controls network access and is also used for connecting data centers and clouds for remote users. The policy is created based on the application, and access is defined for each user or security group. Web-based access is controlled using a cloud proxy solution provided by CheckPoint. A broker server is installed in the cloud and on-premises to provide access to remote users using ZTNA. NGFW allows or blocks depending on requirements. We find the setup very straightforward as you don't have much to configure when you're being part of an organization. Everything is already configured for you! This is especially useful when you wish to onboard new employees remotely and ask them to install this VPN. Also, the latest version of Perimeter 81 has an improved UI that provides more useful information to the user. **What do you dislike about Check Point SASE?** We find Perimeter 81 a little bit slow on MacAir Book machines (even on the 2019 models). It's using a lot of resources and this leads to disconnection and performance issues. If your machine has only 4 cores, you might need to consider using an 8 cores machine instead to run the software. I had to switch to a MacBook Pro to solve this issue. **Recommendations to others considering Check Point SASE:** If you are using a Mac, I would highly recommend you to have at least 8 cores as the software is using a lot of resources. But overall, I find Perimeter 81 very easy to install, set up, and use. It integrates seamlessly with many identity management solutions. Unlike other VPN solutions, it also contains many features that increase the security of users' endpoints (eg DNS filtering and VPN Kill). **What do you dislike about Check Point SASE?** I believe that password management and synchronization with IdPs can be improved, it would also be necessary to make it possible to create granular access rules. **Recommendations to others considering Check Point SASE:** Once you try it, you will never be able to go back to legacy VPN solutions. **What problems is Check Point SASE solving and how is that benefiting you?** I can manage the onboarding and offboarding of external users and suppliers quickly and easily. From the very beginning, our account manager and the technical contact person looked after us very well. Problems were quickly addressed and also quickly resolved. We had a lot of sessions with Perimeter, to discuss different themes and talking about feature requests, these requests were all monitored and many of them are now in development or already released. That's great! **What do you dislike about Check Point SASE?** New Gateway locations could be deployed a bit faster. **What problems is Check Point SASE solving and how is that benefiting you?** We're securing our employees during their work. We are an international team and so we have to make sure that all devices are secured and with the VPN Solution from Perimeter81 we can manage it.
