We do data work for several clients and needed a consistent way to give each one an Al agent over their own systems without running a different tool per client. With Peliqan we connect a client's sources, decide what the agent can read and write, and hand them access through whatever Al client they prefer. One client runs on Exact Online, another on Odoo, and the setup process is the same for both. We had a handful of Python scripts running in various places that nobody wanted to maintain. Peliqan lets us write that logic as a data app inside the platform, schedule it, and have it push alerts to Slack when something needs attention. The scripts can read from our connected sources and write back to them, so a job that pulls data, checks it, and updates a record now lives in one place instead of three. We added Peliqan as an MCP connection in Claude and it immediately had access to our business data. The agent can list our tables, look at the columns, and run the SQL it needs, so answers come straight from our systems instead of a guess. What we didn't expect was that it can also act on our apps, not just read them, so it updates a record where we need it to. Setup was an API key and the endpoint, and we were testing the same day. Peliqan let us keep client environments separate while using the same endpoint approach for each agent. For each client we connect their sources (one runs on Exact Online, another on Odoo), scope what the agent can read and write, and hand them an assistant that works in whatever AI client they already use. The thing we use most is being able to write our own functions in Python and expose them to the agent as tools. We had a specific workflow (pulling a customer's order history from a few sources and formatting it a certain way) and instead of trying to get the agent to do it step by step, we wrote one script and now the agent calls it directly. It connects to the usual things too. Our agent reads from our CRM and warehouse through the same endpoint. But the custom tool part is what made it actually fit how we work. We came in looking for an MCP layer, but the ELT and warehouse side ended up being just as valuable for us. We were able to bring our SaaS data into one place, do a bit of SQL cleanup, and then expose the cleaned views to our agent. That meant the agent's answers were grounded in numbers our finance team already trusted. The MCP endpoint sitting on top of that warehouse is what makes the whole thing work for us. We connect our sources, the data lands in the built-in warehouse, and then we write plain SQL that joins across all of them. If we have to mention one point, it is that Peliqan offers so much flexibility and so many options (ETL, reverse ETL, automations, AI features) that you benefit most when you approach it with a clear data strategy and some expertise. In our view, this is more a sign that it is a powerful, professional platform than a real downside, because it allows us to design robust, future‑proof data solutions. To truly leverage all the capabilities of Peliqan, you’ll mostly likely need an expert to help you set it up. It’s not self-service (yet). But who knows how they will evolve. Peliqan solves the problem of scattered, siloed data by centralizing our operational and customer data into one consistent data warehouse. This means our AI models and analyses run on cleaner, better‑structured, and always up‑to‑date data, which improves the quality and reliability of the insights we deliver to clients. It also shortens implementation time for new projects, because we can quickly connect new sources and reuse existing pipelines instead of rebuilding integrations from scratch. We were running separate MCP servers for our CRM, support tool, and analytics database. Each one had its own auth flows. Maintaining three setups for one agent was not worth the time. We moved everything behind Peliqan. Our agent now connects to a single endpoint and gets access to all three sources. When we onboarded a new teammate last month, getting them set up took a few minutes instead of an afternoon. The other thing we appreciate is being able to expose only the tables and fields we want.
