# Where do recipients drop off between opening a Blinq card and saving the contact?

A question I keep coming back to is where recipients drop off between opening a Blinq card and saving the contact. Going by G2 reviews, it's at the first pop-up after the card opens, when a recipient doesn't realise saving is the next step, and pointing to the save button as you hand over the card closes most of that gap. Without the prompt, a good conversation can end without a saved contact. What works in Blinq's favour is the start of that flow: the card opens without the recipient installing anything, and on the sender's side, contacts are saved in the order you met them, with notes kept alongside each one.

In digital business card tools, the situations seem to play out differently:

A recipient who's used digital cards before. They save it in a couple of taps without prompting.

A first-time recipient. They look at the card, then put the phone away unless someone mentions saving.

A recipient who'd rather not save to their phone. Some people would like another option, and a copied text or email is the workaround.

On the sender's side, Blinq is clearly built for keeping contacts organised: contacts save in the order you met them, notes travel with them, and sharing them with a team or CRM is straightforward. That suits anyone networking at volume, where the saving habit of the recipient is the only variable left.

What do you say while handing your card over? And has a verbal prompt made more difference than any setting?

Does anyone mention saving at the end of the conversation rather than when handing the card over? Wondering which moment works better.
