Pelion provides a consistent infrastructure and the flexibility to use SIMs from various networks while retaining the same APN credentials. This is especially valuable when we need to swap SIMs onsite, as it avoids configuration changes and keeps deployments straightforward.

We make extensive use of Pelion’s API to automatically monitor data usage across our SIM estate in real time. This gives us visibility of issues typically within an hour, allowing us to react quickly and minimise disruption. Support has also been very strong, first-line usually resolve issues efficiently, and escalations happen when needed.

Our relationship with Pelion goes back to the mid-2000s, when we operated a unique setup. Pelion worked directly with Orange (at the time) to ensure SIMs supplied through them would integrate seamlessly with our infrastructure, and they achieved this within just a few weeks. Later, when we migrated entirely from our own legacy setup to the Pelion platform, the transition was again seamless.

There is very little to dislike about Pelion IoT Connectivity. As with any long-term relationship, we’ve encountered the occasional issue, but Pelion have always worked proactively to resolve them.

If anything, my only minor criticism is that the API could be expanded to include more functions that would help streamline processes within our internal platform. We deal with many IOT providers and by far Pelion has the best 1st class Support and customer service by a long way. Technical leads and access to them excellent and the promptness has saved us in many of the recent 2G crisis etc. Our account Managers have been excellent in finding products and doing the best to get the right price and product to fit our business. Regarding the Pelion application, the system is efficient, the tools are very useful, and it significantly reduces time by providing smooth work tracking especially for vehicle monitoring, data usage, and overall operations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The system requires a few improvements, such as adding the ‘Retired’ option for SIMs that are no longer in use. Currently, we must send a manual request to the support team, which is time-consuming. I like that Pelion IoT Connectivity provides a reliable and stable platform for remote connections to our field devices across the country. It's really cost-effective compared to competitors. The setup was straightforward, and our team was up to speed very quickly. I wish I could terminate SIMs on the platform, instead of emailing the customer support team. Also wish the recent data/downloads analytics were more detailed. I mainly use Pelion to diagnose issues with mobile internet usage via SIM cards. I appreciate the quick search and diagnostic tools, and detailed information provided. It's easy to use, and I find it seamless and quick to dip in and out of every day as part of my routine. While Pelion IoT Connectivity works well overall, a few areas could be improved. Some parts of the platform's interface can feel a little slow or require extra clicks to get detailed SIM insights, so a more streamlined workflow would help. I like that Pelion IoT Connectivity performs well even in remote locations with poor cellular infrastructure. The support from the Pelion team is also very good, and the cost is very good for us. We appreciate the session data provided by the platform, which helps us find issues related to providers in certain locations. The SIM refresh tool is quite handy for making a new connection when our gateway gets stuck in a bad connection. I would like to be able to block certain providers through the Pelion UI. Also, I want to see the tariffs and updates for different locations. Since we have customers in both the EU and US, having a common platform would be helpful as the current setup adds complexity to our operations. We would like to view all our SIMs in one platform, perhaps by having a 'link' for US devices to be shown as EU devices with a distinction. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I appreciate that Pelion IoT Connectivity organizes all the SIMs into one place, which makes it easy to connect to our remote sensing devices remotely, change settings, see live status, and troubleshoot. I like that everything is centralized and it allows me to assign access to different contractors who may be onsite, making management streamlined. There could be a better way to see groups of SIMs, since my company has all available globally, I want to only be able to see Australian SIMs, which I can do with the right search word. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
