## PayPal Checkout Reviews
  ### 1. Quick and secure for international purchases; 2FA occasionally bothersome

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pedro L. | Back-end Developer

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2026

**What do you like best about PayPal Checkout?**

I use it to pay, especially when it's a new store and I don't trust it, I prefer to use PayPal Checkout. It serves as a shield for me to not share my banking details with the store in case something happens. What I like the most is the immediacy and simplicity. I also find it easy to buy in other currencies; when buying from foreign stores that have other currencies like dollars, yen, etc., you can buy without worrying about being charged a currency exchange fee. The initial setup was quite easy and quick. Sometimes I use it linked with Apple Pay, or through apps like Vinted or eBay.

**What do you dislike about PayPal Checkout?**

I get tangled up in the 2FA login, sometimes I try to buy something quickly but it asks me for an SMS or authentication from the app. Sometimes, it doesn't happen very often but when it does, it's annoying.

**What problems is PayPal Checkout solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use PayPal Checkout to avoid sharing my bank details with the store, it serves as a shield if something happens. I like the immediacy and simplicity. Buying in other currencies is easy and I can shop at foreign stores without worrying about currency exchange fees.

  ### 2. Convenient Payments, High Fees

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Akhil M. | Managing Partner, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 28, 2026

**What do you like best about PayPal Checkout?**

I like that PayPal Checkout is a well-known brand, which makes it easier for people to trust and make payments. The support is usually responsive, which is helpful. I also appreciate the API SDK integration as it's quite useful for implementation. It's easier to implement because of the wide coding and online tools available. Payouts are faster compared to other payment providers. It's also beneficial for improving user flow and making it more user-friendly, especially since I'm nontechnical. The initial setup was quite easy due to the good documentation and AI assistance.

**What do you dislike about PayPal Checkout?**

Sometimes, the technical integration fails and it's kind of difficult to figure out why, especially as a nontechnical person. Also, the PayPal fees for each transaction are really much higher compared to other platforms.

**What problems is PayPal Checkout solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PayPal Checkout makes my payment process trustworthy and easier for users. Its API SDK integration enhances user flow, and support is responsive. As a nontechnical person, it simplifies implementation, saving me effort.

  ### 3. Paypal Checkout Review from Sami Maxhuni

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sami M. | Network Technician

**Reviewed Date:** June 28, 2026

**What do you like best about PayPal Checkout?**

I plan to use PayPal Checkout to accept secure online payments from customers in a simple and trusted way. I have not started using it fully yet, but my goal is to offer customers an easier checkout experience and give them a payment option they already know and trust when shopping online.

**What do you dislike about PayPal Checkout?**

What I dislike about PayPal Checkout is that transaction fees can sometimes vary depending on the payment type, customer location, or business setup. Since I have not used it fully yet, I cannot mention many negative points, but unclear or changing fees can make it harder to estimate the exact cost of each transaction in advance.

**What problems is PayPal Checkout solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PayPal Checkout helps solve customer trust and payment convenience problems by giving users a familiar way to pay online. This can benefit me by making the checkout process easier, faster, and more secure for customers, which may reduce hesitation during payment and improve the chances of completing purchases successfully.

  ### 4. Trusted payments, but login could be smoother

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 06, 2026

**What do you like best about PayPal Checkout?**

What I value most is not having to type my card details into every unfamiliar site. I just log in through PayPal and the purchase goes through, which gives me real peace of mind on stores I don't fully trust. The checkout itself is fast and works smoothly on my phone, and the One Touch feature lets me pay without logging in every time, so I'm through the checkout in seconds. I use it everywhere because it's accepted on so many sites, and it handles international purchases and currency conversion without me having to think about it, which has saved me from second-guessing overseas orders. An unexpected benefit has been the buyer protection: on the rare occasion an item didn't arrive as described, having that safety net made me far more comfortable shopping online. It's become my default way to pay whenever a site offers it.

**What do you dislike about PayPal Checkout?**

My biggest frustration is the login friction. There are times I just want to complete a quick purchase, but my password isn't recognized or the session times out, and I get stuck in a reset loop right when I'm trying to check out. It's enough to make me abandon a cart occasionally, and a smoother, more reliable login or better saved-session handling would fix it. The currency conversion is another pain point: on international purchases the exchange rate PayPal applies isn't always the best available, so I sometimes pay more than I would with a card, and I'd appreciate clearer, upfront rate information before I confirm. I've also noticed the checkout buttons and overall interface feel a little dated compared to newer one-click options, so a refreshed design would help. Lastly, on the rare occasion something goes wrong, customer support leans heavily on automated systems that struggle with anything nuanced, and reaching a real person to resolve an issue takes longer than it should.

**What problems is PayPal Checkout solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before I used PayPal Checkout, I'd hesitate on any site I didn't fully recognize, because entering my card number directly felt risky, and I'd often abandon the purchase rather than hand over my details. Now I can check out through PayPal without ever exposing my card information, which has made me comfortable buying from smaller or unfamiliar stores I would have skipped before. The saved payment info and One Touch also cut my checkout time down to a few seconds instead of the minute or two I'd spend typing card and billing details each time. For international orders, I used to worry about card details and unclear foreign charges, but now PayPal handles the currency conversion in one step, so I can complete overseas purchases without second-guessing them. The buyer protection has been the biggest peace-of-mind benefit: on the one occasion an item never arrived, I was able to recover my money, which removed the fear that used to hold me back from online shopping.

  ### 5. Reliable and Easy-to-Integrate Payment Solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 06, 2026

**What do you like best about PayPal Checkout?**

What I like most about PayPal Checkout is its simplicity and reliability. The integration is straightforward, the checkout process is fast, and customers trust the PayPal brand, which helps improve conversion rates. It supports multiple payment methods, offers strong security and fraud protection, and provides a smooth experience across desktop and mobile devices.

**What do you dislike about PayPal Checkout?**

PayPal Checkout works well overall, but there are a few areas that could be improved. Transaction fees can be high, especially for small businesses and international payments. Account limitations or verification requests can sometimes interrupt business operations, and resolving them may take longer than expected. The developer documentation and onboarding are good, but troubleshooting complex integration issues could be more straightforward, and customer support response times could be faster.

**What problems is PayPal Checkout solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PayPal Checkout solves the challenge of providing customers with a secure, trusted, and easy-to-use payment experience. Before using it, accepting online payments required more custom development and gave customers fewer payment options. With PayPal Checkout, we were able to integrate payments quickly, support multiple payment methods, and reduce checkout friction. This has helped improve customer confidence, streamline payment processing, and increase successful transaction completion rates.

  ### 6. Quick and Seamless Payments, Minor Verification Hassle

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ayesha M. | .Net Developer , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about PayPal Checkout?**

I like how quick and easy it is to use PayPal Checkout for making payments. It's accepted globally, making payments hassle-free. I appreciate that it's a fast and quick way to make payments, automatically solving the problem of 3D authentication without needing to manage every detail myself. The initial setup was very easy, which added to the convenience.

**What do you dislike about PayPal Checkout?**

Sometimes the extra verification step is frustrating, but I do understand it's important for security. It could be quicker with fewer steps maybe.

**What problems is PayPal Checkout solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PayPal Checkout is fast and hassle-free for making payments, solving the problem of 3D authentication automatically. It's globally accepted and easy to set up, making transactions seamless and simple.

  ### 7. Quick & Secure Checkout

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 26, 2026

**What do you like best about PayPal Checkout?**

What I like most about PayPal Checkout is how easy and fast it makes the whole payment process. As a user, it’s really convenient not having to enter your details every time, and it feels more secure since you’re not sharing your card information with every store.
I also like that it’s widely recognized and trusted, which gives you extra confidence when buying online, especially from new or unfamiliar websites. Plus, having different payment options in one place (like cards, balance, or Pay Later) makes it very flexible.
Overall, it just makes the checkout experience smoother and more reliable.

**What do you dislike about PayPal Checkout?**

What I dislike about PayPal Checkout is that sometimes it can feel a bit slow or redirect you to extra pages, which breaks the smoothness of the checkout experience. I also find that fees can be a bit high, especially for sellers, and that sometimes those costs are passed on indirectly.
Another thing that can be frustrating is when payments get flagged or put on hold unexpectedly, without a very clear explanation. Finally, even though it’s widely accepted, not every website supports all PayPal features, which can limit the experience a bit.

**What problems is PayPal Checkout solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PayPal Checkout solves the problem of making online payments faster, safer, and more convenient. Instead of having to enter your card details and personal information every time you buy something, it lets you complete purchases in just a few clicks. That saves time and makes the whole experience much smoother.
It also helps build trust when shopping online, especially on websites I’m not familiar with, because I know PayPal adds an extra layer of security and buyer protection. Another benefit is having multiple payment options in one place, so I can choose what works best for me at the moment.
Overall, it benefits me by making online shopping quicker, easier, and more reliable.
