## About OrbGIS
OrbGIS is a complete web GIS platform built in Sweden and a European alternative to ArcGIS Online for municipalities, agencies, consultancies and researchers. Upload Shapefile, GeoPackage, GeoJSON, GeoParquet, KML or CSV and OrbGIS handles projection, indexing and tiling automatically, including multi-gigabyte countrywide datasets, with real coordinate systems such as SWEREF 99 TM. From the same layers you build web maps, dashboards, surveys, story maps (Journeys), print layouts and edit attributes in a spreadsheet-style data editor, then share everything with your organization or the public. Pricing is one flat rate per 5 GB of storage and per editing user; viewers are free and unlimited, and there are no credits or license tiers. Data is hosted in the EU, with contractual Swedish data residency available as an add-on. A free QGIS plugin (OrbGIS Connector) connects the portal to desktop GIS for editing and uploads, and a free online converter turns Esri File Geodatabases into open formats.
