## About OpenText Core Threat Detection & Response
OpenText Core EDR is a cloud-based threat detection and response solution that helps organizations identify, investigate, and respond to advanced cyber threats across their environment. It combines endpoint detection and response (EDR), endpoint protection, SIEM, and SOAR capabilities into a single platform, giving security teams the visibility and tools needed to stop attacks quickly and efficiently. Designed for simplicity and speed, OpenText Core EDR uses a lightweight agent and pre-configured policies to enable rapid deployment with minimal operational overhead. The platform continuously monitors endpoint activity and leverages global threat intelligence to detect suspicious behavior, correlate events, and surface high-priority threats in real time. Built-in SIEM capabilities aggregate and analyze data across endpoints, identities, and network activity, providing a complete view of threats across the organization. Integrated SOAR functionality automates investigation and response actions using guided workflows and playbooks, helping teams contain incidents faster and reduce manual effort. Key benefits: Faster threat response – built-in SIEM and SOAR prioritize alerts, correlate events, and guide next steps to accelerate incident response Reduced complexity – replaces multiple tools with a single platform for endpoint protection, EDR, SIEM, and SOAR Broader visibility – delivers a unified view of endpoint, identity, and network activity for better threat detection Rapid deployment – lightweight agent and pre-configured policies enable fast rollout with minimal setup Automated security operations – reduces manual workload with automated investigation and remediation workflows Compliance support – helps meet requirements for standards like NIS2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and ISO 27001 OpenText Core EDR simplifies security operations by eliminating tool sprawl and centralizing detection, analysis, and response in one console. Security teams can quickly triage alerts, understand the scope of incidents, and take action with confidence. We deliver a unified, intelligent threat detection and response that helps organizations reduce risk, improve efficiency, and respond to threats faster with less effort.

**What do you like best about OpenText Core Threat Detection & Response?**

I like the OT dashboard and tiles. I can see at a glance what is happening. Good feedback.

**What do you dislike about OpenText Core Threat Detection & Response?**

We still need to run Malwarebytes to catch what OT misses.

I am not sure. They allow me to automate Endpoint Protection thru an RMM. As I said earlier, we still need to run Malwarebytes to tackle what OT misses.
