"HP ALM for SAP Functional testing coordination"
4/5
What do you like best about OpenText Application Quality Management?

I like how HP ALM offer many tools for testing, all integrated.

You go from creating your test cycles, test campaigns, specifying your business requirements, to creating test scenarios. Optional tools like HP Sprinter can be used to record your test scenarios, and the script will be helpful for the persons in charge the testing.

I like the integration with SAP: from solution manager solution documentation to SAP ECC, there are many connectors out there that can be used to transfer data from and to HP ALM. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OpenText Application Quality Management?

The tools offers so much possibilities that you can be lost at times. I couldn't find a simple user guide that would explain me all the options, or things I needed to do to execute my tests in an adequate way.

Some features still need to be polished. Some things that should just be copy and pasted can't, and require you to do the same tasks again and again. To be used perfectly, many concepts needs to be understood, which takes time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Robust test management tool"
4.5/5
What do you like best about OpenText Application Quality Management?

The best feature of HP ALM is the traceability matrix against the tests covered. I have used that feature a lot for one of big project. It gave us a good feedback on test coverage so as to know which requirements are covered and which are still pending. Thus, minimizing the risk involved with mising requirement. Also, this is the unique feature of HP ALM, which is not found in other test management tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OpenText Application Quality Management?

There is no way to set up a communication channel or a feature so that content can be added apart from files upload. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"It is helpful for testers to track test process but it is not user friendly"
2.5/5
What do you like best about OpenText Application Quality Management?

Users can define work flows conveniently to track test process, including logging defect with multiple cycles (new, assigned, fixed, reopen, closed, etc.), uploading test cases and updating test execution Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OpenText Application Quality Management?

I can't upload test cases from Excel to HPQC using add-in (Excel 2013, HPQC 11.52). I can't load HPQC using safari on my Macbook (HPQC 11.52), which is very inconvenient). It takes long time to load the HPQC and the server is not stable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Firsthand experience with Quality Center"
4/5
What do you like best about OpenText Application Quality Management?

One of the most powerful and easy to use performance testing software. Integration with QTP and LoadRunner along with few other quality testing tool makes it a very unique product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OpenText Application Quality Management?

The cost is very very high when comparing to other performance testing tools in the market. However, the support team is very dedicated when there are issues and hence it is makes it a worthwhile product. Also the setup at times is not straightforward; however, once a user gets pass the initial setup hurdle it is smooth sail from there. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Quality Center: A Web-based test management tool"
4.5/5
What do you like best about OpenText Application Quality Management?

Quality Center is a Web-based test management tool, you can organize and manage all phases of the application testing process, including the development of testing requirements, plan tests, execute tests and tracking defects. In addition, you can also create reports and graphs via Quality Center to monitor the testing process. Quality Center is a powerful test management tool, reasonable use of Quality Center testing can improve efficiency, save time, and have a multiplier effect. Since the deployment of the QC server is not entirely dependent on IIS, its server operating system is more flexible (win, Linux, Solaris, etc.). However, the DB support range is also reduced to only support Server Oracle and MS-SQL, and TD is still the same as the background does not support the open-source database connection, increasing the cost of use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OpenText Application Quality Management?

QC's ability to represent the information is weak. Test task time extended if you want to use QC to make the test perfect. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
