"OpenShot makes quick video editing easy and accessible"
What do you like best about OpenShot Video Editor?

OpenShot is my alternative to Shotcut whenever I need a fast and simple way to edit videos. The interface is clean and intuitive, so I can jump right into trimming, cutting, and arranging clips without a steep learning curve. It offers drag-and-drop editing and decent support for transitions and titles, which helps speed things up for basic projects. Being open-source and available across platforms is a bonus. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OpenShot Video Editor?

Sometimes the app feels less polished, especially with large or complex projects. I’ve noticed performance drops occasionally, and a few features like advanced effects or export settings could be improved. But for quick edits, it covers all the essentials. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simple to Use, Easy to Get Used To"
What do you like best about OpenShot Video Editor?

Very easy to upload media and graphics, music quality does not seem to lower either. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OpenShot Video Editor?

Only downside is the lack of a visible autosave feature. If I don't save every 10-15 minutes and it decides to crash, my previous work is mostly lost. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to Use Even for Beginners"
What do you like best about OpenShot Video Editor?

This app is very easy to use and free too! I downloaded it and watched a tutorial, a few minutes later I was ready to edit my first video. I do not have a degree in video editing but the products from my Openshot edits were of high quality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OpenShot Video Editor?

There are times when the app just shuts down in the middle of editing. It's rather annoying especially if you haven't saved your work. There were instances when I had to redo my work because the app had shut down. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

OpenShot Video Editor is a fantastic video editing software as it is open source (free). All the tolls are visible at one place on the home screen, which is very convenient for me to use OpenShot and edit videos. Trim, adding two videos, and many more things can be done by OpenShot. We can export our edited video files in different formats. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Everything is good with OpenShot but there is only one major issue that is its crashes sometimes when we export our video file and which lead to loose the edited file and our precious time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"OpenShot Is A Great Open Source Video Editor"
What do you like best about OpenShot Video Editor?

It is simple, sweet, and can do all your basic editing needs. The best part is that it is open source so there is a large community out there to help you solve any issues. The interface of this software is really easy to understand and use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OpenShot Video Editor?

It is limiting in what it can in terms of bells and whistles. Openshot isn't a good option for color correcting, and the exports tend to fail occasionally. Still better than iMovie Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
