# Is Docusign worth it for CEOs at enterprise organizations, based on user reviews?

Docusign comes up constantly in conversations about e-signature software for large organizations, but whether it actually earns its keep for a CEO overseeing an enterprise org depends on more than how easy it is to use. CEOs aren't the ones clicking through the signing flow daily, so the real question is whether it holds up at scale and keeps legal exposure low.

Pulling from enterprise segment reviews:

Legal defensibility comes up again and again, with one reviewer stating the electronic signatures are "equivalent to wet-ink signatures," exactly the assurance a CEO or general counsel wants before rolling it out company-wide.

Reviewers describe it as already embedded in how contracts move, with one noting it's "well integrated into many CRM systems," which matters for execs trying to avoid adding another disconnected tool.

Adoption friction is low. Sales teams describe generating and tracking contracts quickly without much training, reducing rollout risk.

On the downside, some features sit behind premium tiers, and there's occasional friction editing signature field placement once a document is out, worth factoring into total cost.

For a CEO weighing this, the signal is that Docusign earns its reputation on reliability and legal defensibility rather than flashy features, and the friction points are operational, not dealbreakers.

Has anyone here actually had a CEO or general counsel push back on Docusign specifically, and what tipped the decision one way or the other?

At the CEO level, I think Docusign’s value is less about the signing experience and more about making high-volume agreement workflows predictable across the organization. Legal defensibility, broad adoption, and CRM integration all contribute to that. I’d be curious whether enterprise teams see the bigger executive-level benefit in faster contract cycles or stronger governance over how agreements move.
