The AJAX interface is a bit clunky. I understand that it made fields easier to edit, but in reality, I can click and change items faster than the server responses; this often causes me to loose work as the saving fails. The first thing I like about this tool is that it is an open source application, being an option against Ms Project which we already know. I think that it offers the possibility of working on our projects from a simple and easy application, which incorporates the vast majority of the options of its competitor. OpenProj is a powerful project management tool with user interface and features like Microsoft Project. The best part of this software is that it is free with no trials or anything. It is the preference of most of the graduate schoolteachers. OpenProj is quite an old software and has not updated for a very long time but it still does its job perfectly. Easy to use and good functionality, great navigation within the software. This software was suggested by knowledgeable people from educational institution i have studied in. I am not sure if there is anything to dislike in the software but there is always room for improvement for example I believe that OpenProj could be more modern in terms of UI. It is still a download and installation software, which makes it difficult to handle from different devices, the installation processes of this type of software are always more complex than expected and also make it difficult to connect online or access the cloud of important information in project management, this means an eventual disadvantage for specific activities within the company.
