But the resulting level of control and analysis that can be achieved is worth the time investment. **Recommendations to others considering OpenPro ERP:** I have helped companies convert their accounting systems from paper to excel to 3 beginner accounting systems then from beginner to over 20 advanced software titles in industries ranging from Restaurant, Real Estate, Property Management, Manufacturing, Car Sales and Business Brokerage. Change is always hard but the reward of Open Pro exceeds most off the shelf ERP Solutions. You may not need all the tools in the OpenPro Tool box on day one but they are there for when you are ready to expand. **What problems is OpenPro ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?** Tracking multiple vendors for a given item. Robust Bill of Materials and Bill of Operations with machine time tracking in addition to employee time tracking during production. The ability to schedule lead times for vendor delivery and track build times to provide our customers with live progress reports on their orders. Customer Relations Management improved the ability to interact with Executive, Managerial, Engineering and Purchasing or Sales Reps within the same company. ### 2. Strong accounting software. Fast processing of transactions. Great time card and payroll system as well. One entry to auto update the other systems. Works great with multiple divisions, like manufacturing and distribution as the same. **What do you dislike about OpenPro ERP?** I have not found anything yet, but if you want OpenPro to make changes for you they will do that quickly. **Recommendations to others considering OpenPro ERP:** - Get setup services instead of trying to do on your own - nice software **What problems is OpenPro ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?** Processing orders, keeping track of back orders, interface with ecommerce shopping carts, credit card processing built in. Great accounting reports to personalize and custom to customers needs. Manufacturing with multiple level bom, labor tracking and great reporting. Build in business work flows to automate customer service and response. With this software we can handle much more processing with less people required. ### 3. It also has so many features which may not be fully utilised. **What problems is OpenPro ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?** We were looking for a tool that will handle supplier issues and manage our accounts payables effectively. We got it, we spend less time reconciling our payables. ### 4. IT is nicely designed and meet our needs effectively. Additionally the PO system has a nice feature that identifies inventory shortages and allows our purchasing rep to easily reorder. **What do you dislike about OpenPro ERP?** We have not liked the work flow processes. It is a little difficult to configure them for out of the box use. We would like to see more concise guides or more defaults implemented to allow for basic use. Having an easily to use and or implement work flow system would better allow inter departmental communication and shorten our response times. **What problems is OpenPro ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are solving our technology gap issue. Our previous system was outdated for today's market. OpenPro has helped us step up to modern standards. Additionally, OpenPro provides easier access to inventory information for our Customer Service representatives. This allows them to more easily provide updates and information to our customers. ### 5. There are time through where that change will actually be for the better, but not always **Recommendations to others considering OpenPro ERP:** Be patient - There is a learning curve, but support is great with be patient and helping you through it. **What problems is OpenPro ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?** Inventory Control and the Bill of Material in Open Pro has saved us a lot of time in determining what materials are needed for an upcoming project. I like how the software logs all changes made, helps when locating discrepancies. **What do you dislike about OpenPro ERP?** The reporting is not as detailed as I would like it and it is sometimes difficult to know what report will provide the information you are looking for. I feel the software is suited for a retail/cash base company. **What problems is OpenPro ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?** Mulitple pay categories for one employee and how to pay them for both. A major benefit is modifications to the software are possible and allows us to customize it to our business. ### 7. I generate trial balances, financials. the inventory is the latest feature that I do appreciate right now. Easy to use. Customer service is great. **What do you dislike about OpenPro ERP?** sometimes the entries do not balance but only because of the decimal places. and this can be corrected easily. **What problems is OpenPro ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?** i am generating my trial balances and ledgers. also the inventory is a great tool. ### 8. You won't find software more complete anywhere than OpenPro. OpenPro ERP Software is a very robust piece of software. OpenPro has over 300 standard reports plus a built in report writer to build your own. OpenPro Business Intelligence give me a quick snap shot of how my business is doing. Their support is great as well. We bought the option to modify the software and this has worked out great for us. Developing new features we needed was very straightforward and quick. **What do you dislike about OpenPro ERP?** There are sometimes too many features and ways to do a process a workflow that can make it confusing for end users when there is no internal company standardized process documented. **Recommendations to others considering OpenPro ERP:** OpenPro is full of features and backed by great support. Definately a product to consider if you are in Sales, Manufacturing, Distribution, and Engineering. **What problems is OpenPro ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our biggest issue was standardizing our work flow and making information easier to access. OpenPro has done all of this for us as well as help us get quality data for reporting and dashboards. If not, all of the other systems out there are waiting to take your money and bog you down.
