Ongage has a modern interface and is very easy to navigate to anyone even partially familiar with email suites. Additionally, for more advanced targeting or creating custom events and campaigns/lists to meet the needs of a business, the Ongage Support and Help areas are extremely useful and easy to search. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Ongage? I really don't have much in the way of downsides, perhaps just "wishes" of sorts. I do wish there was something like a "Profile" area for each contact so that you could more easily view the contact details, campaign history, and list subscribes of each individual contact rather than having to run a report to pull that data. I work as an email analyst (also overall marketing operations analyst) and Ongage provides several areas to easily view and pull data sets on specific campaigns or target segments, helping to both keep email deliverability high as well as being able to test new business experiments and seeing how these users perform on both the email side as well as our internal database. What do you dislike about Ongage? Sometimes when you edit ESP settings, it doesn't update everywhere and you have to go manually change things like the domain or From Name. I have used Ongage for almost 2 years now and the staff and support team in one of the best in the industry. The software is simply the best software I have ever used along with the support team, it makes my job a lot easier, as I have deadlines to meet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Ongage? The stats are delayed on mailing, I would like to have stats in real-time if possible one day. The snapshot report has a delay on it, I would like to know what is bouncing in real-time, this way I can know if I should stop the campaign or continue it. Also, I would like to be able to send my 'snapshot report' to my boss. But there is no feature to send the campaign report to anyone. The only way I can show my boss the stats is to screenshot the results on the campaigns he wants statistics on. Can we add a feature to email a work colleague the stats? The most helpful feature for me is definitely the ESP routing feature. The ability to route traffic over multiple ESP's helped us to maximize our overall email success. The ability to route your emails with different vendors. When we first discovered this we were amazed by what this can do for our overall deliverability. It had a direct impact on our open rates and ROI. We are not reliant on just one SMTP vendor anymore this gives us a save feeling for our highly critical emails. Ongage really does handle everything you need to have a successful mailing program. We utilize them not only for the ability to connect us with great ESPs, but their expertise in handling all aspects of mailing and the ease with which they allow us to maintain and utilize our database. If you have mailing needs that go beyond small amounts, Ongage is really a great solution and they have connections with a multitude of great ESPs that they can introduce you to. Ongage allows us to do everything within one system, from managing/optimizing our database to sending out emails to managing the results and improving our inboxing. It is extremely easy to use and saves us a ton of time and hassle by having all these disparate systems under one umbrella. ESP-agnosticism - This is a great feature for the sort of mailing we do; through Ongage in fact we've come across far more ESPs than we would have normally with organic search. The list management and segment management system, though initially difficult to overcome, is actually quite nice as well. The ability to make ad hoc suppression lists is a really powerful tool. Also, the documentation on the site is difficult to understand for those of us using the api. We wish there was a better way to make automated drip campaigns, as we've found the 'events' feature doesn't really suit this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Recommendations to others considering Ongage: Try this if you don't know what your sending requirements will be at first, because Ongage gives you the ability to scale with a large selection of vendors. Ongage allows you to connect to many different sending providers (SMTP etc. ). This allows us the flexibility to control deliverability and email costs. Moreover, we can take greater risks by sending to larger segments without being shutdown, which happens a lot with other services like Mailchimp, where you are locked into one sending provider. Recently, we were went into the spam folder for Outlook, and we were able to route all the hotmail addresses through a different IP ! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Its amazing how flexible the platform is when it comes to using different IP's and Sending domain. It also gives you very granular stats, to pinpoint what's going on with your emails.
