It allows research teams to work in one location and fosters collaboration within teams. **What do you dislike about OnCore CTMS?** I feel at times there is functionality that could be added to enhance workflows. **What problems is OnCore CTMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** OnCore is streamlining workflows across our enterprise and creating consistency across research tasks. ### 2. It makes it easier to ensure I am creating the calendar correctly. **What do you dislike about OnCore CTMS?** The coverage analysis console. It is cumbersome to enter each procedures comments by clicking on the procedure and then having to click a button, enter the comment, click save and then either use the drop down list to scroll to the next procedure or you have to click close twice to back out to the main page. **What problems is OnCore CTMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are finally able to fully track payments received. Now we are able to create reports so we can see where we need to increase budgets and funding. ### 3. There are also many resources available for training and technical support. The user community is amazing and is always willing to help answer questions or share solutions. **What do you dislike about OnCore CTMS?** The system can be a little clunky to maneuver around in if you are not a daily user or steeped in the ins and outs of OnCore. Custom reporting has become more challenging with changes to data reporting views that have come along with new integrations and systems. **Recommendations to others considering OnCore CTMS:** Look at and define current processes, be willing to adapt or change with the system but also take your time when implementing. There is a lot to learn and it is important to engage all stakeholders within your organization early in the process. **What problems is OnCore CTMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is relatively easy to pull data to help guide decision-making related to accrual performance and clinical trial portfolios. There is also quite a bit of flexibility with tracking information that does not necessarily have corresponding fields. ### 4. It helped us reduce duplicated data and control the budget/billing within the project. However, the best feature is the goal-driven dashboards that help visualize the information quickly. **What do you dislike about OnCore CTMS?** I believe it is not a problem with the software, but as a freelance researcher, I handle multiple projects, and just a fraction of them require clinical research software. I will probably prefer software that offers to manage several clinical and non-clinical projects. **Recommendations to others considering OnCore CTMS:** I haven't tried a lot of clinical research management software, but I use project management software on a daily basis, and compare to those, this has a 4/5 stars **What problems is OnCore CTMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** I helped organize a client's clinical trial research. It streamlines the process of managing the studies, which comes in handy when you have multiple ongoing studies. ### 5. The enhancements included in each new version release, many of which are in response to customer requests/needs. **What do you dislike about OnCore CTMS?** Based on feedback from our organization's budget teams, post-award functionality can use some improvement to make payment reconciliation more efficient. Advarra has been sharing its plans to roll out such improvements in future versions. **What problems is OnCore CTMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** OnCore is heavily relied on for our cancer center reporting need, as it has many built-in reports and the flexibility to create customized reports. It also is an effective tool to improve communication across members of the study team and beyond, through the use of system notifications and task lists. ### 6. The online community is helpful and the customer support team is always there to help. **What problems is OnCore CTMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are solving the way that we once kept track of our clinical trials. It is great because there is a whole collaborative community of AMCs and Cancer Centers interacting with how they use the software. And collaboration is key in the clinical research industry. ### 9. The branching for task management, process tracking, and notifying the next signatory authority when it is time for them to completed their part is all very easy to navigate, saves a lot of effort in remembering to notify the next person to move things along. **What do you dislike about OnCore CTMS?** I do not like that you cannot hide fields that are not of use to a particular study or research team. I think that there is a lot of room for improvement when it comes to the display logic and navigating through the pages could be made more consumer-intuitive. **Recommendations to others considering OnCore CTMS:** Although I don't know much about the purchasing side of the equation, I do know that from the perspective of someone who had to use the platform daily, my number one piece of advice is to really utilize any training, including supplemental training that your organization offers. It's a fairly dynamic platform, but in order to help it help you, you've got to know all of the capabilities and how to navigate them for your specific role. **What problems is OnCore CTMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** Although I no longer use OnCore in my current role, the organization I work for has continued to use it and expand its availability to other departments. It has helped streamline the process of protocol activation and also allows for excellent checks and balances between different stages of protocol activation, study submission, and client management. ### 10. The layout of the PC console, i can easily set up and edit study data. **What do you dislike about OnCore CTMS?** On the Documents page it was a bit difficult to see where to upload instructions and how exactly to link to Irb docs from this interface ( using the link option) **What problems is OnCore CTMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use it for coordinating clinical trial protocols ### 11. Between the billing mechanisms, calendaring, and electronic care report forms, OnCore helped me keep organized and on track. **What do you dislike about OnCore CTMS?** Forte really has not made this software flexible for non-cancer center use, which I think is pretty short sighted. There are a handful of aspects in OnCore that I have to, as a non-cancer center coordinator, just have to ignore. Also, OnCore is visually not very appealing - although I have heard this is going to change in the next major update. **Recommendations to others considering OnCore CTMS:** Put in the time to learn the software because it really will save you time in the long run and I think clinical trial management systems are where the industry is going. **What problems is OnCore CTMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** OnCore has helped me keep develop and conduct a clinical trial.
