## Olive Reviews
  ### 1. Transforms Healthcare Admin with Seamless Automation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nadia G. | Customer Service Representative, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Olive?**

I really appreciate Olive's ability to automate repetitive tasks at work. Before using Olive, I would spend countless hours calling insurance providers or navigating through confusing paperwork. Now, everything is organized in one place, which has significantly streamlined my workflow. The interface is not only clean and intuitive but also stress-free, making managing my work much less of a headache. These improvements have freed up valuable staff time and reduced errors, which is a tremendous relief.

**What do you dislike about Olive?**

I have yet to run into anything I disliked

**What problems is Olive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Olive to automate repetitive tasks in healthcare systems, which reduces manual administrative work, freeing up staff time and reducing errors.

  ### 2. Ease of use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hemant R. | Architect Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Olive?**

All in one place.
Ease of use.
Implementation is easy.

**What do you dislike about Olive?**

A lot of feature and also it would be really great if it can be customized on the company use basis.

**What problems is Olive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing business requirements at one place.

  ### 3. Olive portal review

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tim C. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 25, 2024

**What do you like best about Olive?**

I liked the UI of Olive. It was much easier to use than other RFI/RFP portals in the past. For example, at the same time I was using the Olive portal for Ulteig, I was also using the Ariba sourcing portal for another customer.

Ariba was finicky, glitchy, and no user friendly. It was very hard to find where you should add comments for answers. None of these issues were present in Olive.

**What do you dislike about Olive?**

I felt at times it did not save progress from multiple users. I think it would be great to have a "live" document view for multiple users similar to Google Docs.

**What problems is Olive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was a potential vendor responding to an RFP in Olive.

I used the platform frequently for about 2 weeks during the RFP process.

It helped streamline the rfp process.

  ### 4. Olive RFP Management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Olive?**

Great data handling tool for large and small RFPs alike...never want to return to the days of Excel.

**What do you dislike about Olive?**

Not always as fast as I'd like and not overly intuitive, but with practice, easy enough to navigate.

**What problems is Olive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Olive to manage all aspects of the RFP process. Assisting our clients in reviewing large amounts of data in an easy, manageable platform. Love that it stores old projects and vendor responses to make response times faster and more efficient.

  ### 5. Used as a seller, to communicate with buyers on their RFP

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 25, 2024

**What do you like best about Olive?**

The things I liked best about Olive were its ability to break down RFP requirements, in an easy to read and clean view. It was also easy to respond to each individual requirement, in a way that wouldn't confuse the buyer. It's also very easy to collaborate with my team. For example, during RFPs, my SEs helped me complete the RFPs in Olive - this was easily done by sending them a request to join, and we could all work in Olive without disrupting each other's work. I also like that Olive continues to keep insightsoftware in mind, and reach out to us about RFPs we might be a good fit for! Customer support from my rep was also great, he was on top of everything.

**What do you dislike about Olive?**

The calendar section with the key dates outlining the buyer's process was really helpful, but it seemed that timeline feature went away with a recent update. The messaging/communication area with the buyer also got more confusing with the recent update. Prior, each question had it's own 'answer field' where you could easily see the buyer's response to that question. Now, the questions are all in one big thread and it's hard to track answers and questions, and I think leads to the buyer's not seeing and/or answering all our questions. I think it would be better if there was a higher frequency of use, but that's not the case currently.

**What problems is Olive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Olive is helping me solve the problem of tracking RFP questions/answers and presenting it to buyer's in a clean, organized way. It's helped me and my SE team easily respond to RFPs, track what questions we have and have not answered, and track the status of the RFPs.

  ### 6. Not a great user experience

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin M. | Solutions Engineer Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 26, 2024

**What do you like best about Olive?**

Provides a centralized repository for multiple Vendors to respond to a Customer RFP, but does not appear to provide much more functionality than a shared document/spreadsheet for significantly more cost.

**What do you dislike about Olive?**

The user interface for Vendors is not especially intuitive or responsive, and it's not immediately clear what work is being performed by other users in real-time. The Customer can share/communicate a Timeline for deliverables, but there does not appear to be a notification feature to remind Vendors of upcoming deadlines. While there might be better comparison/analysis features for the Customers/Consultants, I'd much rather use a Shared Document like a Google Doc/Sheet or O365 Word/Excel document as a Vendor.

**What problems is Olive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Olive allowed us to respond to Customer RFPs, but did not provide us with a significant benefit.

  ### 7. Olive facilitated a (mostly) smooth vendor select process

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2023

**What do you like best about Olive?**

Olive really did help us to run a smooth vendor selection process for a new software to support our essential business processes. Vendors could respond clearly to our core requirements, and the selection team could rate each response individually.

**What do you dislike about Olive?**

Olive sometimes felt like a start-up beta product for which we were paying top dollar. We found many bugs in the system, and while the team was responsive, it wasn't as developed a product as we would have hoped.

**What problems is Olive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Olive is solving the massive headache that is both managing requirements and launching an RFP for a new software. The Olive platform will save you time and energy, streamlining the whole process. Vendors were equally impressed with the platform. This is the future of software RFPs.

**Official Response from Aine McDonnell:**

> We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the bugs you encountered in the system. We appreciate your feedback and are continuously working to improve Olive to provide a more polished and reliable experience.

  ### 8. Olive has saved us so much on consultants

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 31, 2022

**What do you like best about Olive?**

Olive takes the most repetitive and tedious parts of vendor selection and automates them. It is not a panacea, but it does drastically reduce the workload of someone comparing and interacting with vendors.

**What do you dislike about Olive?**

Honestly, there isn't anything I can think of. The team has been incredibly responsive to feedback and has fixed any issues we've brought forward. Good team to work with.

**What problems is Olive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Olive has facilitated consensus when selecting a vendor/product in a group. It makes the process open and transparent, and has made selection committee members happier with the selection process

**Official Response from Aine McDonnell:**

> We like working with you too anon, thanks for your review and feedback!

  ### 9. Easy to use interface, functionality still limited though

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Azmina R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 11, 2023

**What do you like best about Olive?**

You can create projects for different surveys/analysis you need to do. The overall interface is easy to understand and you can collaborate with others outside your organisation with no hassle.

**What do you dislike about Olive?**

We were unable to use our company domain to send/receive email from Olive to our clients instead of having to use the Olive email domain. We want to keep all our messaging on brand, but unfortunately Olive does not allow the emails triggered from it to be customised to align branding to your own company.

**What problems is Olive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were able to create different surveys by feeding in our requirements to assess vendor products in the market. Olive has the option of different question types and the option of collaborating with external entities without them having to be part of the license, which is great.

**Official Response from Aine McDonnell:**

> We appreciate your feedback and are pleased to hear that Olive has been helpful for your survey and analysis projects. We understand your concern about customizing email domains and will take this into account for future enhancements.

  ### 10. Olive for requirements gathering

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Olive?**

We use olive to help with requirements gathering in RFPs. We are able to list all of our requirements for a system and have vendors respond through the system. We used to do this in excel and it was a lot more labor intensive.

**What do you dislike about Olive?**

Olive could be better with their user management. We usually have an admin over an account that can maintain the system and administer it for us and we have users that can freely work. Their "stakeholder" can only make minor changes to projects inside of the system, so we have to have multiple admin accounts. I believe they are working on this model and will make changes in the future.

**What problems is Olive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

During our requirements gathering phases, we have used Excel in the past to send to a vendor to fill out. After all vendors have filled out their requirements, we could then combine them. We no longer need to do that. We can provide access to the requirements project in Olive and let all of the combined work happen at once.

  ### 11. Excellent for Self Service RFP Preparations

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bran J. | Senior Consultant / Analyst - Selections, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2024

**What do you like best about Olive?**

The Product is easy to use, and the support from the Olive team in exceptional. The feature list is very detailed and fully suits the expectations.

**What do you dislike about Olive?**

The customisation options were a bit lilited.

**What problems is Olive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Olive is helping us to reimagine the ERP preparation process. The ability to revisit RFPs within Olive has made our processes smoother and faster.

  ### 12. Ease of Use and Functionality

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dax K U. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 18, 2024

**What do you like best about Olive?**

Ease of use, Olive was simple to navigate and making sure that they took the time to help me understand managing the tool.

**What do you dislike about Olive?**

A lot of the questions felt form filled, I didn't feel that I got a true scope of work for the client. It got 90% of the way there though.

**What problems is Olive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allowing me to fill out RFPs

  ### 13. I wish every org used Olive!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shelle P. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2024

**What do you like best about Olive?**

It was the most well organized, intuitive platform I have ever used for an RFP and I have been doing this for 15 years.

**What do you dislike about Olive?**

What I dislike is that I wish more customers were using your solution.

**What problems is Olive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It drives effeciencies for both the customer and the submitter of the RFP response.

  ### 14. A whole vendor selection team at your service, that comes with a great platform.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Corban W. | Director of Product Management, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Olive?**

I love the assistance the Olive team provides. We leverage them every chance we get. They take on some of the least desirable tasks, like informing candidates their tech was not selected or isn't moving to the following evaluation phase. They also reach out anonymously to ALLLL potential vendors in the space, ensuring our selection process is comprehensive and thorough.

**What do you dislike about Olive?**

I have very few complaints about Olive. The only thing that comes to mind is the platform is still a little immature. There are a few common features that are difficult to find/use. Other than that, I have no complaints.

**What problems is Olive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It finds all the potential vendors for a particular business need. This makes our vendor selection process far more thorough than we have had in the past. Additionally, they dramatically reduce the communications between my team and all these vendors. We only engage with those who make the shortlist. This prevents a lot of emails and distractions.

**Official Response from Aine McDonnell:**

> We're thrilled to hear that you leverage our team's assistance and find value in our thorough vendor selection process. We take your feedback about the platform's usability into consideration. You may have recently noticed some improvements and we plan to make more in the future!

  ### 15. Smooth Experience for all Parties

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2023

**What do you like best about Olive?**

I like how easy it was to find and add different vendors for our project that were already loaded in Olive. It was also very helpful to have a selection of RFI "Requirements" (features and functionality in our case) in the system to choose from. These Requirements were specific to the product we were sourcing, meaning the Requirements were relevant and shed light on some considerations that were otherwise not on our radar. The vendors provided feedback that Olive was the most user-friendly RFI process they've ever encountered. Simply send a link, vendors create an account, answer the Requirements fields, and then compare the responses from each vendor. The scoring and weighting were great, although I learned some lessons from the first round of usage to improve the outcome for the next round.

**What do you dislike about Olive?**

Some vendors struggled to access the RFI when clicking the link provided to them. However, our rep was always quick to assist them, and it wasn't a huge deal. It would be nice to have a single video demonstrating everything A-Z from setup through comparison to better understand the bigger picture and flow before diving in. Having more guidance or examples around setting up the weighting and scoring would also be helpful. I'd also like to be able to customize reporting options. For instance, it'd be nice to be able to download, email and/or print the completed Requirements lists of a couple/few vendor responses in one document to summarize the differences between top contendors.

**What problems is Olive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Olive helped us narrow down our tech options more effiently than if we were to do so in a more manual fashion with Excel. It also enabled greater transparency and collaboration between our project teams and vendors.

**Official Response from Aine McDonnell:**

> We're glad to hear that you found Olive easy to use and that it helped streamline your vendor selection process. We appreciate your feedback about the struggles some vendors faced and will work on providing more comprehensive guidance and support resources. Thank you for sharing your experience!

  ### 16. Basic proposal portal. Gets the job done but nothing fancy.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 18, 2024

**What do you like best about Olive?**

It wasn't overly complicated. Some proposal portals make it difficult to find important information.

**What do you dislike about Olive?**

It wasn't very intuitive. Even though it is a simple portal, I still had issues finding information.

**What problems is Olive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They didn't really solve any problem. A standard digital Word or Excel-based RFx would have been just as useful.

  ### 17. Awesome tool to simplify complicated submission processes.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 18, 2024

**What do you like best about Olive?**

How simple the tool is to use. It makes my job easier.

**What do you dislike about Olive?**

For my use case there is nothing to dislike about Olive.

**What problems is Olive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having the ability to add textual information into their system and to have it reformett and structure my responses into the RFP format is huge.

  ### 18. Best tool for stakeholder and vendor collaboration in selecting technology solutions.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 11, 2024

**What do you like best about Olive?**

Olive AI really helps get things started if you don't know where to begin, especially for stakeholders looking to figure out their own requirements.

**What do you dislike about Olive?**

Would like more discovery and post-selection automation.

**What problems is Olive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Speeding up the process of souring enterprise technologies and having that audit trail to support decisions.

**Official Response from Aine McDonnell:**

> Thanks so much for your review and feedback!

  ### 19. ERP selection for complex business

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John A. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Olive?**

Olive provides an all-in-one-place, easily shareable, collaborative environment to support software selection through requirements definition and evaluation of alternative solutions.

**What do you dislike about Olive?**

The small shortcomings I identified early in my use have mostly been addressed by the responsive customer success team and developers. I would like to see them continue to expand the knowledge base.

**What problems is Olive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Olive provides a collaborative environment so that all 18 members of the project team, as well as candidate vendors, have access to the same information.
A less obvious benefit to the single shared environment is that team members from various business functional areas can see each other's requirements and identify opportunities to enhance their own in a complimentary way.

  ### 20. Vendor Selection Made Easy

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tyler V. | Enterprise Applications and Systems Lead, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 11, 2023

**What do you like best about Olive?**

Olive's capability to optimize the selection process is one of its most appealing qualities. As a core team, you can outline your specific requirements, set evaluation criteria with incredibly fine detail, and make sure each vendor handles the assessment request in a way that results in a comprehensive score. It enables you to ensure that every element of the software selection is carefully considered, resulting in well-informed decisions that align with the requirements and objectives of your organization and the users and other stakeholders of the software solution you are evaluating.

**What do you dislike about Olive?**

The licensing model can seem restrictive depending on how you manage your stakeholders and the number of projects you have.

**What problems is Olive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps coordinate and manage the entire software selection process.

**Official Response from Aine McDonnell:**

> Thank you for sharing your feedback about Olive's capability to optimize the vendor selection process. We understand that the licensing model may seem restrictive, and we appreciate your input as we continue to improve our offerings.

  ### 21. Olive brings together all aspects of facilitating an RFP in an easy and efficient manner.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 01, 2023

**What do you like best about Olive?**

I like that all parties involved in the RFP process has only one location to access.

**What do you dislike about Olive?**

Periodically the software takes a while to load when going from page to page or doesn't load at all.

**What problems is Olive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Olive is allowing us to run multiple RFPs at one time profiiently.

**Official Response from Aine McDonnell:**

> We're glad to hear that you find Olive to be an easy and efficient solution for RFP facilitation, and apologize for the inconvenience caused by the software loading issues. Our team is constantly working to improve the performance of Olive. Thanks for your feedback!

  ### 22. Happy Camper

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Museums and Institutions | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Olive?**

The product was easy to use. It was simple to pick up and explain to our team . The information gathering features were effective for the work we were trying to complete.

**What do you dislike about Olive?**

I enjoyed the system in the context that we used it. No complaints.

**What problems is Olive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The identification of HRIS options and determination of a system to move forward with.

**Official Response from Aine McDonnell:**

> We're thrilled to hear that you found Olive intuitive and beneficial for gathering information. We appreciate your feedback and are glad to be a part of your team's success.

  ### 23. Great for comparing products and services

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food & Beverages | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2023

**What do you like best about Olive?**

Being able to compare many options at once, and to have a team with visibility and editing permissions to help narrow the choices was a huge time saver. I also like the suggested requirements based on project type to help build out the Request for Information form (what Olive calls Requirements).

**What do you dislike about Olive?**

It's still evolving so there are some features that would be helpful and that I anticipate being available as time goes on. For example, you can print the RFI (Requirements) responses per vendor, but cannot print a view that compares two or more line by line. That view is visible online, though.

**What problems is Olive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helped us narrow down options for a digital learning platform, of which there are over a thousand today. It really sped up that process and made it more of a team/collaborative endeavor.

**Official Response from Aine McDonnell:**

> We're glad to hear that Olive has been helpful in comparing options and collaborating with your team. We appreciate your feedback about the features you'd like to see, and we're continuously working on improving the platform. Thank you for sharing your experience!

  ### 24. HRIS Search Made Easy!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Human Resources | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2023

**What do you like best about Olive?**

Olive made selecting all the criteria we sought in our new HRIS system easy. It helped us narrow down the top software that had most, if not all, of what we were looking for. Olive made it so my team could put in their input to get a well-rounded system.

**What do you dislike about Olive?**

As great as Olive is, it takes some time to review their questionnaires when narrowing down what you want from a new system. Perhaps making the questionnaires shorter would make them more efficient.

**What problems is Olive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Olive is helping us select a new HRIS system for my HR team. It's a useful all-in-one product comparison to see if it matches exactly what we seek. It definitely saves a ton of time.

**Official Response from Aine McDonnell:**

> Thank you for your positive review of Olive! It's great to hear that it made selecting an HRIS system easy and saved your team time. Your feedback about the length of the questionnaires is duly noted, and we appreciate your understanding that it may be more related to the person creating them rather than the product itself. We will take that into consideration for our product documentation!

  ### 25. A great way to manage RFPs

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarah W. | Director of Digital Analytics, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 24, 2023

**What do you like best about Olive?**

Olive lets us organize our thoughts before contacting companies and then collects their responses. It's very easy for all stakeholders to go through the questions and make decisions.

**What do you dislike about Olive?**

The sheer amount of data available in Olive can be overwhelming to stakeholders who are new to the RFP process. It would be great if there were a stripped-down view available.

**What problems is Olive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are a small company trying to manage a large CDP RFP project. That responsibility falls on one person, so Olive is allowing her to manage the process, keep everything organized, and share with others.

**Official Response from Aine McDonnell:**

> Hi Sarah thanks so much for your review and feedback. We love your idea of a stripped-down view!

  ### 26. Thorough and efficient

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Restaurants | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 25, 2024

**What do you like best about Olive?**

The site is completely user-friendly and intuitive.

**What do you dislike about Olive?**

There were a few initial errors with access, however they were resolved quickly.

**What problems is Olive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Many RFP's in the past have been clunky and difficult to navigate. Olive keeps it simple and organized, prompting areas that need attention.

  ### 27. Fast and Easy to Use; Olive For the Win

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anthony M. | Business Owner, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 20, 2023

**What do you like best about Olive?**

Olive reduces the discovery time on the most compatible partners in particular segments.

**What do you dislike about Olive?**

I have been a user for a couple of years and dont really have a downside to mention.

**What problems is Olive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We utilized Olive to help us decide on partners for HR, Marketing and Technology toolsets. In many cases we came in with an idea of who we wanted to partner with and the information provided to us properly steered us in a different direction that we would have never even known about.

**Official Response from Aine McDonnell:**

> Thank you for your feedback! We're glad to hear that Olive has been a valuable tool for you in making informed decisions about potential partners.

  ### 28. Great Product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Olive?**

Massive time saver compared to traditional methods. They have a top-notch support staff who will always help out where needed.

**What do you dislike about Olive?**

We started utilizing Olive about a year ago. There were some awkward portions and things that didn't flow well. Many of them have since been corrected.

**What problems is Olive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Olive allows us to do away with 1,000 spreadsheets of requirements, issues, wishlists, and keep them all in an easy-to-use and organize format that surveys and rankings can be performed on.

  ### 29. The new standard in enterprise software selection

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris R. | Director Of Operations, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Olive?**

Olive helps us to stay organized in our software selection processes. With features that allow us to capture key requirements, survey our SMEs, and stay consistent with our vendor communication, it is a tool we expect to use in all of our software selection needs.

**What do you dislike about Olive?**

There's nothing to dislike about Olive. As a growing startup in this space, they have opportunities to continue to enhance the product, but this is something that, in my conversations with them, they absolutely understand, and they are making improvements all the time.

**What problems is Olive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Olive helps us manage our software selections and provides critical reporting capabilities for executives to help them see why certain solutions are selected. It helps us operate efficiently and without the need for expensive outside consultants.

**Official Response from Aine McDonnell:**

> Chris, thank you for your review, we're very happy you are happy!

  ### 30. Ok

**What do you like best about Olive?**

It was nice being able to collaborate and compare my answers to how others were responding

**What do you dislike about Olive?**

The site crashed on me on multiple occasions

**What problems is Olive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were shopping for a new HRIS, so we had to use Olive to, from our individual perspective, rank our needs and have our input be taken into account

**Official Response from Aine McDonnell:**

> Hi, Anon, I am sorry to hear that the platform crashed on you on multiple occasions.
Should this happen again let us know via chat and we can troubleshoot in the moment.
I have passed on the feedback to our Product team!

  ### 31. Olive for Requirements Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Airlines/Aviation | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Olive?**

Excellent approach to large (or small) product selection matching requirements to features. The product is easy to use / super intuitive. We have scaled it from small tool selection through to large enterprise application selection

**What do you dislike about Olive?**

I can't think of anything off the top of my head

**What problems is Olive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Product research and vendor selection

  ### 32. User Friendly Evaluation Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food & Beverages | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2022

**What do you like best about Olive?**

Used Olive for an RFP. Very easy to collaborate with my team to set up vendor questions and rank importance individually. Vendor responses were trackable and able to be ranked individually by each team member to help identify top vendor candidates.

**What do you dislike about Olive?**

It takes a little time to get categories and questions set up when you first start a project, but a great tool once you have what you need entered. Offering some frequently used questions could help speed up the process.

**What problems is Olive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Olive helped my team work together to identify questions that needed more details and helped prevent any miscommunications that can occur when team members could not all be on calls with each vendor. By sending out our question list to each vendor, we could ensure that the information we were getting back from the vendors could be comparable.

**Official Response from Aine McDonnell:**

> Thanks so much for your review and valuable feedback regarding FAQ, I'll pass your feedback along to the appropriate teams!

  ### 33. Helpful for projects large and small

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeremiah M. | Director Of Information Technology, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Olive?**

Olive allows you to quickly organize and prioritize requirements with a team of stakeholders. This saves a lot of time; for example, our product team was able to quickly shortlist a small group of vendors from a much larger list.

**What do you dislike about Olive?**

Olive is constantly improving their product and implementing new features, which is great. However sometimes features aren't fully tested and don't work correctly the first time.

**What problems is Olive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Olive helps us to collect product requirements, engage with stakeholders, narrow down preferred solutions, and then engage with vendors in an easy-to-use interface.

**Official Response from Aine McDonnell:**

> Thanks so much for your valuable feedback re features Jeremiah.

  ### 34. Olive made our entire vendor vetting and RFI process far more organized and efficient.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emma A. | Business Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Olive?**

The ability to both rank criteria based on priority and then score individually on each vendor.

**What do you dislike about Olive?**

The auto-save for question responses posed some difficulty when we were interacting with vendors in Olive.

**What problems is Olive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Olive quickly groups sets of data (must-haves, rankings, etc) and presents them in a way that is easy to compare across all vendor responses. Previously, we had completed this manually in excel sheets. Olive's ability to calculate total scores and present that side-by-side comparison has been a game changer, saving us both time and employee resources.

**Official Response from Aine McDonnell:**

> Thanks for your review and valuable feedback Emma! I have passed it along to the Product Team.

  ### 35. So great!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2023

**What do you like best about Olive?**

I love olive; it is super useful. I love that I can easily review new software.

**What do you dislike about Olive?**

Sometimes it can be hard to select which features to use; there are so many!

**What problems is Olive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We love using olive to find new solutions and managing business software requirements goals. We are more productive.

**Official Response from Aine McDonnell:**

> We're glad to hear that you find Olive super useful for reviewing new software! We understand that having many features can be overwhelming, but we're constantly working on improving the user experience. Thank you for your feedback!

  ### 36. Great Product for Vendor Selection

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Olive?**

Olive exceeded my expectations with all the embedded tools to use on the requirement gathering and vendor selection portion.

**What do you dislike about Olive?**

The user support portion could use a little effort. More knowledge base resources.

**What problems is Olive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Olive helped us with our RFP process. It aided us in the requirements gathering, vendor scoring and vendor selection. We were also able to utilize vendor communication.

**Official Response from Aine McDonnell:**

> Thanks for your review! We are happy you are happy!

  ### 37. Is Olive right for your business?

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jessenia T. | COS, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2022

**What do you like best about Olive?**

Olive had a ton of customizations options for clients. You can add team members and specify your project management to your particular field. I haven't seen anything quite like Olive. I think you will be pleasantly surprised at the various features to bring your goals to life.

**What do you dislike about Olive?**

I liked Olive. A friend had pointed out there could be more features specifically geared toward project management for filmmakers. Being able to add small and large text boxes or just a question bar is also helpful.

**What problems is Olive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Olive had allot more options for customization and templates for work than other conpetitors. Most places it's just fill in whatever and add a deadline. My boss enjoyed being to build out his invitations and project management feom scratch.

**Official Response from Aine McDonnell:**

> Thanks for your feedback Jessenia!

  ### 38. Great Platform for every organization

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nick T. | Head of IT, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 31, 2022

**What do you like best about Olive?**

I like how it is a self-service platform that empowers my team and me to evaluate and find SaaS providers based on my requirements. The self-service nature of the platform ensures that they can move as fast or as slow as I'm willing to move.

**What do you dislike about Olive?**

The more tedious part of the platform is collecting and inputting all the requirements. I wish there was a way to improve that process. They do have a great library of requirements to pull from, but I still, wish there was a way to "magically" circumvent the requirements collection process/step.

**Recommendations to others considering Olive:**

Work with their product team!

**What problems is Olive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In short, contracts. Every organization is dealing with 10's, if not hundreds of contracts. Finding vendors, evaluating vendors, doing trials, proofs of concept, etc. They streamline and simplify this whole process.

**Official Response from Aine McDonnell:**

> Thanks so much for your review and feedback. We are glad we can help you make the process less painful! While we work on the magic, maybe you can vote for some feature ideas in our ideas portal below!

  ### 39. ERP+ selection

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John A. | Adjunct Instructor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2022

**What do you like best about Olive?**

Good organization of the elements needed for software selection, with follow-on support (details) for package implementaton.

**What do you dislike about Olive?**

Help pages need to be built out further and kept current with evolving software.

**What problems is Olive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Olive is handling all the administrative tasks involved with software package selection. Provides good collaboration among members of a sizable team.

**Official Response from Aine McDonnell:**

> Hi John, thank you for your review and valuable feedback regarding the Help pages. I am happy to report that they are being worked on currently!

  ### 40. UI is nice. Could be more user friendly

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Devin K. | Sales, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 09, 2022

**What do you like best about Olive?**

Olive for the most part is very easy on the eyes.

**What do you dislike about Olive?**

I found it hard to navigate what my next step was. I kept seeing that I was 77% done with what I needed to do but then it wasn't clear what else I needed to complete. I had to message support and ask what I was missing. They said they would get back to me. but never did. When I checked back at my application at a later time it said I had completed what was required. Not sure what happened.

**What problems is Olive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Some companies need to show investors or the public how they are spending their money and Olive insures that they are making the right decision based on requirements

  ### 41. From a submitter's standpoint, Olive streamlines the RFP submission workflow and is easy to navigate

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 18, 2022

**What do you like best about Olive?**

The Criteria tab allows organizations to clearly outline key requirements and how important they are in comparison to other requirements in a streamlined and visually dynamic table of requirements. From a submitter's perspective, the platform's features allowed us to easily navigate between "must haves" as well as answered versus unanswered questions, so that we didn't lose my place if we had to pause from the online response. In addition, the Olive platform enabled team collaboration on the RFP response by allowing us to add as many stakeholders/contributors as we needed to work on it.

**What do you dislike about Olive?**

From a submitter's perspective, providing written answers/details under the Criteria tab was a bit difficult. Rather than providing an option to submit one complete answer to a specific requirement, the platform opts for a UI similar to a chat message. As a result, when one contributor entered a response to a requirement, another contributor was not able to edit or modify the response; instead, they had to enter a new response. This made the overall response seem less polished.

**What problems is Olive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

From a submitter's perspective, Olive is one of the better online submission platforms/portals I've used when responding to an RFP online. It has a more intuitive user interface, so we spent less time trying to understand how to navigate and submit our RFP responses and more time collaborating on getting the response completed.

**Official Response from Aine McDonnell:**

> Hello and thanks for your review and valuable feedback. We have since fixed the vendor response issue that you mentioned. Submitters now have collaborative fields for a detailed response and the chat function is completely separate. I hope that your next experience is better!

  ### 42. Olive is great for finding software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bryan M. P. | Manager Digital HR Product Management, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 31, 2022

**What do you like best about Olive?**

I like how we can write our own product requirements. We can use the system to compare vendors against our product requirements.

**What do you dislike about Olive?**

It takes a little while to figure out the whole system, but that can be said about most systems. Their licensing could be better. You need admin licenses to do most things we would consider project manager responsibilities.

**What problems is Olive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We do a lot of software vendor searches and usually keep our requirements in excel. This system lets us store them in a more professional system. The system also lets us send the requirements to vendors and have them fill out whether or not they can meet the requirement. Less work for us.

**Official Response from Aine McDonnell:**

> Hi Bryan, thank you for your review and valuable feedback around licensing. If you have any other ideas about how Olive can better fit your needs, go ahead and drop them into our ideas portal!

  ### 43. Olive is an intuitive and easy to use tool for collaborating on RFPs

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lewis M. | Regional Sales Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 09, 2022

**What do you like best about Olive?**

I like that Olive is easy to navigate an allows for easy collaboration with different departments and stakeholders when responding to an RFP

**What do you dislike about Olive?**

I wish there were some kind of communication capabilities in the application for sending messages or tagging collaborators

**What problems is Olive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Olive allows for easy engagement with prospects in a blind RFP

**Official Response from Aine McDonnell:**

> Hey there Lewis! We got your feedback and it happened to coincide with our latest feature release. Here is a sneak peek and video walkthrough. I hope this is what you were looking for!

  ### 44. Good Software Evaluation Tool

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 31, 2022

**What do you like best about Olive?**

We have needed a tool to help us track software demos and vendor responses for a long time. There are so many miscommunications between what the salesman/vendor said and what we "remembered" Olive is a great tool to track and retain those conversations. We were impressed by the ability to get vendor responses from the vendor directly. I wish we had it earlier.

**What do you dislike about Olive?**

I haven't had a chance to submit an actual request to a vendor yet but have been entering requirements. I do think allowing the customer to customize the rating types for vendors and stakeholders would be extremely helpful. The pricing model prevents us from using the app more widely.

**What problems is Olive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed to be able to track software product evaluations.

**Official Response from Aine McDonnell:**

> Hi! Thank you so much for your review and for your feedback, we will certainly take it into account. If you have any other ideas about how Olive can better fit your needs, go ahead and drop your ideas into our ideas portal!

  ### 45. Very simple and easy to use

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Olive?**

I like how the system streamlines the vetting process and keeps everything concise and organized for easier collaboration between vendor and buyer. Also, being able to share Q&A info among other vendors helps speed things up.

**What do you dislike about Olive?**

Not the best match-making between prospect and potential vendors. There have been prospect companies that fall outside of our realm support or service. An example is a company looking for specific features that we didn't have so I had to disqualify them right away.

**What problems is Olive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Olive simplifies the RFP process and keeps everything organized, reducing the back-and-forth between client/prospect. In most cases I am more productive with this process.

  ### 46. Revolutionary product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Skip K. | Principal, Independent & SMB Consulting, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Olive?**

This company has put together an amazing product that helps streamline the entire RFP and RFI process and is highly interactive as well as collaborative.

**What do you dislike about Olive?**

I have yet to have a downside. Anytime that I see that there is a missing or needed feature or function, the Olive team is quick to react and implement.

**Recommendations to others considering Olive:**

Before doing your next RFP, make sure you check out this product. You will find the features that are contained within are second to none and provide a whole new level of completeness to the project without adding extra work. It should greatly reduce the amount of time and headaches that you have to go through.

**What problems is Olive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This product removes the complications of your standard RFP process, making it more efficient and effective.

**Official Response from Aine McDonnell:**

> Thanks Skip! We love that you are happy! Feel free to add any more of your genius features or functions to our ideas portal below!

  ### 47. Easy to Use

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 09, 2022

**What do you like best about Olive?**

The Olive interface was easy to use and I was able to navigate through and find the information I needed.

**What do you dislike about Olive?**

This system didn't really have anything I disliked.

**What problems is Olive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This helped us collaborate and reply to an RFP so we can hopefully increase business.

**Official Response from Aine McDonnell:**

>
Hi there! Thank you for your review.

  ### 48. Great tool for RFPs

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 09, 2022

**What do you like best about Olive?**

What is most helpful about Olive is that it keeps things structured and organized, and also that it provides visibility and collaboration tools.

**What do you dislike about Olive?**

Not sure. The one RFP I used Olive for was pretty smooth.

**What problems is Olive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used Olive as a respondent to an RFP. Typically, RFPs are Word, Excel or other static document formats that are not easy to work with. I wish more organizations used Olive to issue RPFs- it's a great tool for the issuer and the respondents.

**Official Response from Aine McDonnell:**

> Hi there, thanks you for your review!

  ### 49. I used Olive to respond to an RFP that was sent to me by a Prospect. My experience was good.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 09, 2022

**What do you like best about Olive?**

It was easy to use. Questions were well organized by section. There were areas to upload files. Olive saved the answers for you, so you can pop back in to find where you left off.

**What do you dislike about Olive?**

Responding to RFPs is not the most fun activity.

**What problems is Olive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem is scattered information everywhere throughout the data collection process of an RFP. Olive provides one place to input info, etc. and saves answers.

**Official Response from Aine McDonnell:**

> Hi there! Thank you for your review. If you do have any ideas about how Olive can make RFP response more fun let us know! Link to our ideas portal below!

  ### 50. Evaluate smarter, not harder with Olive

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 09, 2022

**What do you like best about Olive?**

Easily collect all information from various vendors to easily shortlist top players.
Saves a lot of time having preliminary meetings with many different software vendors, and ensures all core features are met before moving forward.

**What do you dislike about Olive?**

Did take longer than expected for vendors to answer all quesitons.

**What problems is Olive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No bandwidth to evaluate efficiency solutions, so Olive does a lot of the front lifting for you.

**Official Response from Aine McDonnell:**

> Thanks for your review and feedback!
