The only minor issue is that including content from older books in searches can sometimes add a bit of “noise” to subject searches, although I’m pretty sure you can filter results by publication date. I have used the service since it was Safari Books Online starting over 20 years ago and consider O'Reilly's learning platform to be best-in-class, easy to use and very content rich for those in a wide variety of technology fields. I use the platform several times a week. I find the access to content very effective and regularly read and search textbooks as well as participate in webinar content. I also appreciate the periodic newsletters as a way to understand what is trending. The webinarsin particular attract top tier talent in their respective fields and have changed the way I learn over the past 5 years. I feel I get multiples of value from the yearly subscription cost because of the high quality content and frequency of the courses. They have even integrated with popular AI chatbots through their MCP server. Recently, I've found the AI/ML content to be very helpful to get up to speed and operationalize the technology to help me at work and personally. What do you dislike about O'Reilly? I have zero issues with the platform. There are certain topics for which the depth of material is lesser (Datacenter technologies and more recently hyperscaler technologies come to mind), however this may be reflective more of the market than O'Reilly. For me, O'Reilly helps aggregate trends, offers content I can't get anywhere else, and make it easy for me to keep up with the technologies I both consult on and use. A trusted source for learning materials, including books, online courses, conferences, live talks, and more. The contents justify the price. User experience on the site is great. The technicak sndboxes and integration with certifications are quite well designed and implemented the right way. The site has a great performance either to read content and attend online events. Technical support has already helped me in the past to resolve questions about the platform. One of the most used features for me, is "ask questions", and the AI agent collects information and data from the library allowing me to solve my questions and accelerating my learning process. The format in which they present the information is very clear, even when I read from a cell phone or tablet. I also enjoy the Sandboxes, as they allow me not only to learn theoretically but also to put into practice what I learn. It's great to be able to test directly in a pre-configured environment, which makes it easier to focus on the task or activity to learn without worrying about the tedious setup of the environment.
