Norcube Backup Reviews & Product Details

Backup is an automated database backup service for teams that want their data protected without maintaining cron jobs, custom scripts, or self-hosted backup servers. Connect your PostgreSQL or MongoDB databases, set a schedule, and Backup handles the rest — snapshots run in isolated environments, store as standard gzip archives, and are downloadable from the dashboard whenever you need them. Unlike backup tools that lock you into a proprietary format or vendor-specific restore path, every Backup snapshot is a standard pg_dump or mongodump file. You can restore with the same tooling you'd use for any manual backup — no Backup-specific CLI to learn, no migration headaches if you ever want to leave. Key capabilities: - Scheduled PostgreSQL (pg_dump) and MongoDB (mongodump) snapshots - Configurable schedules — hourly, daily, or custom intervals - Multiple data sources per account, each with its own schedule and backup history - Gzip download straight from the dashboard — standard format, no lock-in, no proprietary restore tool - Database credentials encrypted on input, encrypted at rest, and only decrypted inside an isolated sandbox at execution time - Archive storage with AWS server-side encryption — client-side encryption inside the execution sandbox in development - Every backup job runs in its own sandboxed server, destroyed after completion — no shared processes or shared memory across customers - MySQL and Redis support in development Built for engineering teams managing production and staging databases, agencies running multi-client environments, and any team that wants verified, downloadable backups without the operational overhead of running their own backup infrastructure. Pricing is usage-based across two metrics — per-second job runtime and storage — with a free tier of 1 hour of runtime per month and volume discounts that apply automatically as you scale. No credit card, no per-seat fees, no minimums.
