Nickel was the answer to a critical business need for my startup. I needed to be able to pay my contractors via credit card while building revenue. There are other companies that provide this service but they wanted me to jump through hoops to get approved and I didn't have time for that. Setup and approval was very fast for Nickel. The sign in process is a bit buggy in my opinion. The site does not have a feature to remember your login until you type the email in. That's honestly a little thing though. Not a big deal. I love the ease of paying people with Nickel. It's very reliable compared to writing checks or using other services like Venmo, which wasn't always reliable. Once there was a glitch where the payments we made with Nickel showed up on our business account in a different way, making us think we were being hacked. Instead of showing the name of the person we paid, it showed that we were paying our own business name. It was confusing and we closed our entire account down. Our book keeper helped us figure out that the payments were actually through nickel, and we were able to reverse our frozen account and all was well. I really like Nickel because it's incredibly easy to use and it integrates seamlessly with QuickBooks. Some of our customers were slow to pay, and paid by paper check.
