The most helpful feature of Netvault quest is the easy to use plugins which helps to backup multiple VM's and storage devices at the same time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

1.Beautiful WEB UI. Liked it so much.

It is a heterogeneous backup solution which supports all databases and all operating systems including all target storage be it Tape or Disk. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We have been using NetVault Backup for over a decade. The best features about NetVault are reliable backups, reliable restores, and good value for the money. Our NetVault solution is consistently lower priced than competitors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing. In the early days, there were some issues with certain plugins and features we use. But NetVault listened to their customers and these have all been resolved. NetVault does a good job of engaging their customer base and resolving issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Web Gui is a nice addition, better job creation and restore menu and a little easier than the older versions. We also like the performance we have now on the newer versions and how much faster you can navigate the screens and file selection process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Seems the Cleaning tape module does not work well with a Dell TL4000 library, There is no report we can create for tapes that are purged/blanked removed from the data base - in our case we have thousands of tapes in our archive and we are purging tapes monthly however I have no record of that transaction and when I go into my Audit for SOC, HIPAA etc I have a hard time demonstrating that. With over 1.9 PiB of data on tape keeping track of every tapes life cycle is critically important to us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Netvault hasn't been very good, lots of failed jobs and support never knows why. Unable to complete a VM restore and almost totally lost a VM because of it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I liked that there was a central web console to administer the entire environment. Support seemed knowledgeable enough to be able to give satisfactory answers for all of my questions. Backing up to tape seemed pretty straight forward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Netvault seems to be very old school in their methods of backups. We are recently switching to a new product and are currently running this product and the new one side-by-side and there is no comparison to the features available in the other product as well as the support staff going above and beyond with this new product. NetVault has simple implementation, easy roll out and using in daily operation. Bugs reports was follow up from customer service and update in new release. The product does the job well. I am able to backup and restore data. I haven't had any issues restoring data that I've backed up using this product. I find the licensing limiting and I don't like the webUI as much as I liked the old windows client. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
NetVault has a limit with VCB (VMware) plugin, still has issue with CBT incremental restore to disk. Most issues are related to client connectivity or to our aging hp tape library. The built in database is sensitive to disk latency and we found out the hard way not to put this database on storage that experiences occasional latency spikes. We had to migrate the NetVault database to local internal server storage to keep NetVault from crashing during times of congested activities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

NetVault is extremely versatile. It works reliably with almost anything. The plug-in library provides integration with most databases and many common applications. The new O365 plug-in is a game changer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
With the web interface, you have to dig a bit to get to some of the more esoteric features, but of the most important are easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
