"Real-Time Network Monitoring and Root-Cause Analysis That Speeds Up Resolution"
4.5/5
What do you like best about NETSCOUT Network & Application Observability?

Network performance monitoring and root-cause analysis enable faster issue resolution. I also value the real-time visibility and dashboards, along with the integrations, which help tie everything together and make troubleshooting more efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NETSCOUT Network & Application Observability?

Pricing felt a bit on the higher side. The setup and configuration process was fairly complex, and the UI/dashboard felt somewhat confusing and outdated. New users may also find the learning curve steep. Some specific features that I expected were missing as well. Customer support response times were slow, and customizing reports and alerts was also difficult. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Comprehensive Monitoring but Needs Intuitive Customization"
4/5
What do you like best about NETSCOUT Network & Application Observability?

I like NETSCOUT Network & Application Observability for its end-to-end visibility, real-time monitoring, and detailed analytics. This makes detecting issues before impacting users possible and accelerates root cause analysis. Additionally, it helps in improving visibility, reducing downtime, and speeding up root cause analysis, allowing for more efficient resolution of incidents. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NETSCOUT Network & Application Observability?

I find the platform has a learning curve for new users. I think some dashboards could be more intuitive, and I would like report customization to be easier. Simplifying the dashboard layout and providing additional pre-built report templates would make the platform easier to use and reduce the time needed for new users to get started. Although the initial setup was fairly straightforward, configuring advanced features and customizing dashboards takes some time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effective Network Visibility with Room for Improvement"
3.5/5
What do you like best about NETSCOUT Network & Application Observability?

I really like the ease of use and the packet analysis technology of NETSCOUT Network & Application Observability. It's easier for us to review the network packets than any other tool, which is awesome for performing security investigations on anomalous traffic. The platform helps us solve network visibility problems by providing packet data for us to analyze and determine network events. We can quickly identify and stop attacks like DOS or DDoS by reviewing specific packets to see what's happening. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NETSCOUT Network & Application Observability?

The packet data filtering in NETSCOUT Network & Application Observability could use improvement. I think the tool is really great, but I would benefit more if there were additional filters based on ports and the packet details. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Broad Network Visibility and Responsive Support with NetScout nGenius"
4/5
What do you like best about NETSCOUT Network & Application Observability?

The NetScout observability suite provides visibility into a large variety of core networks, packaged into a complete service provider solution. The support team is quick to respond to incidents.

The Engineering Sales team works hard to ensure that the deployment architecture makes sense for our network. They ensure our nG1 and nSA deployments provide meaningful data, in a reliable way that allows multiple teams to use the tools every day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NETSCOUT Network & Application Observability?

The NetScout solutions are used to monitor complex networks, which require complex initial configuration to make the system useful. There is significant effort required during the implementation of new probes to make the system work as intended.

There are APIs available, but they are not very well documented. I would love to see NetScout develop OpenAPI documentation for use with their tools, as this would make integration with other existing tools easier for our tools development teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Real-Time Traffic Visibility That Makes Troubleshooting Easier"
4.5/5
What do you like best about NETSCOUT Network & Application Observability?

What I like best about NETSCOUT Network & Application Observability is the ability to observe real-time traffic when troubleshooting enterprise issues. Having immediate visibility into live packet flows and application behavior makes it far easier to pinpoint root causes quickly, reduce downtime, and validate that fixes are working as intended. It provides a level of clarity and precision that’s invaluable when managing complex, distributed environments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NETSCOUT Network & Application Observability?

What I dislike about NETSCOUT Network & Application Observability is that I would like more observability into cloud networks. While it provides excellent real‑time visibility into on‑premises and hybrid environments, deeper native insight into cloud‑native traffic and services would make the platform even more powerful, especially as enterprise architectures continue shifting toward distributed and multi‑cloud designs. "Powerful Network Visibility, Steep Learning Curve"
4/5
What do you like best about NETSCOUT Network & Application Observability?

I like the end-to-end visibility provided across both network and application performance. The dashboards make it easier to identify abnormal traffic patterns and performance issues. The detailed analytics help narrow down the root cause without switching between multiple monitoring tools. The alerting and reporting capabilities are also useful for proactive monitoring and faster incident resolution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NETSCOUT Network & Application Observability?

The biggest areas for improvement are the learning curve and dashboard usability. Simplifying navigation, improving report customization, and providing more beginner-friendly documentation would enhance the overall experience. The platform could be improved by making the interface more intuitive, especially for users who are new to network observability tools. A simplified dashboard with customizable widgets for different roles would help users focus on the most relevant metrics. More built-in templates for reports, easier navigation between related views, and better contextual guidance within the application would reduce the learning curve. Additionally, faster loading of complex dashboards and more integration examples or setup documentation for cloud and hybrid environments would improve the overall user experience.
