**What do you like best about Netreo?**

Visuals and display.
Templates help keep things organized.
The auto-refresh functionality is excellent for keeping a window or tab open and not worrying that I'm missing something.
The mobile app is great for keeping on top of alerts and Is my go-to method for monitoring our environment.

**What do you dislike about Netreo?**

The UI can feel clunky at times, often requiring clicking through multiple menus to take a single action.
Making changes to templates does not apply the settings to all the devices immediately and sometimes requires manual intervention to get the new checks to appear on devices.
It seems that we are consistently finding bugs and needing to reach out to the support team to correct issues that are not possible to fix on our own.

We can accurately monitor our enviornment and get near real-time alerting for incidents.

**What do you like best about Netreo?**

Love the team there. You can tell they want to help you and make it a priority to do so. They have integrations and features other vendors don't and are more than happy to help you set up new ones. Love the graphs, charts, customization options, NOC view and the GUI. They listen and are always happy to make changes in order to improve their product.

**What do you dislike about Netreo?**

Their phone app needs some polishing and always disconnects me requiring me to have to reconnect it using my computer. It would also be nice to be able to do "everything" from your phone and not be limited by only the features offered.

**What problems is Netreo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Network visibility, downtime/uptime, executive reports, compliance, discovery, finding misconfigurations, and notifications from devices we  know are critical to us.

**What do you like best about Netreo?**

Ease of deployment and organization of data!  We can quickly isolate events based on organizationally grouped data which makes MTTR lower and helps keep customers happy!

**What do you dislike about Netreo?**

Netro could be more open allowing customers to use it as more of a tool kit rather than a point solution.  A good example is providing an SDK so partners and customers can build tighter integrations with third parties or homegrown tools.

**What problems is Netreo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

By allowing a more profound insight into mission-critical applications to ensure proper transactions continue to flow.  We are able to provide our customers with higher levels of service based on the data gathered and displayed by Netro.

There is nothing ton disklike, given the any feature recommendation is always accepted as a challenge and becomes part of the feature set

Easy to integrate and use, the implementation is quite straight forward, whenever needed the customer support was there to help, as we used every day. Also it is pretty cool how the number of features grows over time.

The system service integration is being monitored as a business workflow where it's really easy to understand how systems are related to each other and how root cause analysis helps to pin-point the immediate issues

**What do you dislike about Netreo?**

The system integrations are still not at the level where Netreo can be seen as a key player for two-way communication or in major app stores. Examples, OPSGenie, JIRA Service Desk, Microsoft Teams, etc. It is still "code and not easy to do"

It is important that before applying technology, projects and investment you really consider the problem/issues you are trying to solve rather the other way around.

Observability, more than solving actual problems we are already looking at how to prevent them from happening. It has also help us to tell stories rather than "alert teams"

Although the categories and templates in OmniCenter are probably what make it so powerful, they aren't exactly intuitive.

Netreo does a very good job of monitoring our network equipment and includes great metrics such as uptime, bandwidth utilization, etc.  It also has a good integration for Virtual Machines.

**What do you dislike about Netreo?**

Netreo can be very difficult to use and wrap your head around, due to the way it has multiple levels of groupings that settings can be controlled from.  At times it can be quite difficult to figure out where a setting is being applied from.

Netreo helps us monitor our systems and network equipment providing us with faster reactions to down events.  This in turn helps us better provide support for our customers and coworkers.

For the most part OmniCenter works well once you have all the devices added to it and configured for monitoring.  It does a good job of monitoring Windows servers with WMI and other devices with SNMP.

**What do you dislike about Netreo?**

My biggest issues with OmniCenter is the lack of content sensitive help and the way it handles SNMP traps.

It allows us to monitor the majority of our systems.

I like the GUI and the fact that it is modular.  It can be an all in one but it doesn't have to be.  I enjoy the reporting tool too.

Netreo knowledgebase is extensive and helpful when self admin of their monitor platform.  Onboarding project team does an excellent job with migration and helping with the transition from current to Netreo.

In a vendor agnostic environment, with a lot of different products and applications, we found some of our application performance monitors requiring Netreo development team involvement to get where we need to get to.

**What problems is Netreo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest solution they've provided us is executive level visibility into the health of the environment.  Prior to we didn't have the observability business team was asking of us.

Netreo effectively sets up our RCA through its insight visualization, alerting and device activity logs for cutting down incident tickets whenever the device goes down. We can select multiple devices for editing their property with its selection method and we can also implement Master-Slave architecture to send commands from the Master to all of its nodes over the Netreo's device management console.

**What do you dislike about Netreo?**

We experienced a few license issues due to device duplications and it was effectively identified thanks to the Netreo platform. It provides excellent views of all details of our Prod & Non-Prod environments on a single, convenient screen. Its user interface is slick & deployments are performed with ease so nothing to dislike about the support offered by Netreo for our infrastructure monitoring requirements.

**What problems is Netreo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Netreo makes it very easy on creating custom rules for defining the requirements to be met by our enterprise application. These rules govern the essential metrics such as average response rate, error rate and CPU usage for analyzing our application behavior. Device discovery is performed whenever we add a new device to our environment and it also is beneficial in letting us know the validity of the license. It also effectively isolates critical incidents from the noise that occurs due to false positives, misconfigurations and redundant alerts so that we can focus better on RCA.

My team isn't spending time managing the product; they're spending time actually using it.  This was a significant and welcome change in regards to the product from which we migrated.

**What do you dislike about Netreo?**

I know it's on the product roadmap, but we'd like to see the network pathing module with some good visualizations behind it.  This would allow for us to better identify issues on our network and environment as a whole.

**What problems is Netreo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the biggest, and slightly controversial, benefits of using this product was the ability to see who was making changes on network devices in our environment in near real time.  This allowed for us to better enforce our change process albeit at the chagrin of certain staff members who view that as a bit bueracratic.

The cost of Netreo is very reasonable. Out of all the NPM products I've looked at, Netreo has the most complete cost per unit pricing.

Setup requires the assistance of a Netreo engineer. However, the cost is included in the purchase price.

**What problems is Netreo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Netreo when reports of slowness at a WAN location come in. Netreo sheds light when bandwidth utilization is getting overrun at a branch location.

Sometimes simple things have very complicated processes to accomplish. A good example would be creating reports. It is often very convoluted to create a report for something very basic

Netreo polling engines is not able to handle all the data from network devices.
Netreo was not compatible with the PAN snmv3.

When we were looking for a monitoring solution we came across Omnicenter and we were impressed with the ease of deployment and had support for so many devices already.  

When we started our deployment of our Omnicenter instance , support for devices we had that weren't included already were added for us during the onboarding phase.

Omnicenter comes as a software appliance that reduces the overall management with no underlying  operating system that needs to be supported.

Regular new versions of the software is released with product improvements being made all the time.

The mobile App functionality is a great addition for us.

**What do you dislike about Netreo?**

Due to Omnicenter being so heavily vendor managed and locked down for customer managed changes, we have run into a few occasions where needed some customisations that weren't possible. 

You have the ability to raise feature requests but these take some time to be implemented, if at all.

Be sure to check that all your devices you want to monitor are supported or there are plans to add them in future.

It has given us great visibility into our infrastructure and allowed us to resolve small issues before they become a bigger problems.

**What do you like best about Netreo?**

With all of the monitoring tools on the market, Netreo was able to be implemented in a day to start gathering data.  There was no hours of configuration, they did almost all of it on the back end to get what we needed, and 95% of everyone needed in minutes.  Add device or server and Boom: Data, Add a user and email, Boom: Alerts. 

The configuration of the counters, templates, and alarms are easy and for the most part intuitive (and there is a search that will find what you can't),  almost everything is configurable to get it just the way you want, for everything else, their support can get it done.  Simple, effective, and powerful!

**What do you dislike about Netreo?**

I have had times where I wanted to look a the user documentation and sometimes I find it lacking, but I have only looked at it a couple of times, for the most part, it has been intuitive enough to click and find.

**Recommendations to others considering Netreo:**

Shop and compare, then you realize that it is not a steal, it is just the honest way they do business: no gouging, no BS, no pushy sales.

**What problems is Netreo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Went from Operations manager and some home grown monitoring, taking days to setup, tune,  and manage, to installing appliance, giving it an IP, adding users, performing a device discovery, and getting monitoring data and alerts we needed in less than an hour.  The system has only been offline for about 2 minutes for each upgrade we have run, and has been 24/7 rock solid.

Netreo's staff is extremely responsive, assisting us with our needs and desires to use OmniCenter as a worthwhile tool in our environment.  They have great expertise in their product and in how to help us tackle the challenges we face when attempting to holistically monitor and maintain our technology.

**What do you dislike about Netreo?**

We wish the email notifications could be more complex and tailored to the business unit being notified.  For example, if a core piece of network equipment were to fail we would like detailed technical information about the outage sent to technology staff while non-technical business impact information such as which services might be affected to be sent to affected departments/users.

**What problems is Netreo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Netreo allows us to monitor our entire network environment including detailed indicators that might expose potential problems.  Beyond helping us to quickly address and correct any outages or issues Netreo also allows us to easily report and demonstrate our compliance on key goals.  For instance, we can quickly report on battery run times for critical equipment like phones and wireless should power be lost to a building and present this to business leaders.

**What do you like best about Netreo?**

It easy to find and locate the source of any issue. Rather than having several alerts all over the place, Netreo's parent system allows us to review only the critical alerts to provide a quicker and faster response. I enjoy the multiple dash boards, specifically the network operations center view. This is my go to to visually locate any issues we may be having around our entire district. Using a map of our city and then placing each location within that map, we could easily navigate to any site with just a click. This is also a great tool for our executive team that needs just a big picture view of the status of our network.

**What do you dislike about Netreo?**

There is a lot to learn when first introduced, but after some training I'm sure I'll get to understand all the in's and out's provided by this wonderful system. The only real dislike is that to get the full network visibility you have to include each device and that can add up in terms of cost.

It's a great tool to help maintain your enterprise network.

**What problems is Netreo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using this to help us find bottlenecks and how we can make our network more efficient. This also helps with the baseline performance of all of our devices. We can see what trends we are having and also use that data and information to make better decisions on where to take our network to next. It certainly helped to determine the bandwidth needs of our growing student base.

Nice GUI (Graphical User Interface), simple architecture, easy support/administration  functionality using admin tools, friendly support team (fast reaction on issues fixing)

Performance looks not yet optimized but we hope, that Vendor Team will fix this soon. Not delivered as Docker Container (not scalable). What will really improve quality of data and enable horisontal scalability  is switching from low performant mysql-like DB to combination of  NoSQL (Neo4j, Mongo) + PostgreSQL. New Interfaces like customizable RESTFull and Kafka can really improve the product and make it future ready.

We are unable to monitor idracs of servers which would give us quick look at raid status.  Right now, alerts that threshholds are exceeded are the only way to know and raid's status

Netreo's products are great for those companies that are lacking in manpower. We are severely lacking in manpower and have used it to do a lot of automations which includes scaling and descaling our servers. We have also used it's monitoring to analyze information and create rules that would make our applications' uptime almost 100%. The reports are also useful as it provides a summary on server's uptime and errors. It's a great product all in all.
