## NeoOffice Reviews
  ### 1. Yet another OpenOffice...for Mac.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about NeoOffice?**

For a Mac user, ideal software must be integrated with the O.S. he's working on and, for a different O.S. like OSX, is really good to have an app fully integrated with OS behaviour and look and feel.
It's based on OpenOffice and offers same features, nothing more to say.

**What do you dislike about NeoOffice?**

Since is based on OpenOffice product, it need some time to be aligned to latest available version because must be re-packed starting from OpenOffice. Waiting for a bugfix can be annoying. Moreover, it needs more memorythan OpenOffce and, sometime, it freeze with some functions.

**Recommendations to others considering NeoOffice:**

If you don't need latest OpenOffice version but an integrated UI is enough for you, this software is for you! Unfortunately, this is not for me.

**What problems is NeoOffice solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Working with an O.S. aligned UI is good, even if is a Java based application. This means that you have keyboard shortcut working, menu are on top of the screen (the S.O. topbar), you have a full integration with the clipboard.

  ### 2. OpenOffice on Mac

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about NeoOffice?**

OpenOffice with a more integrated interface on OSX compared to the original OpenOffice. Based on the same, it tries to integrate more with the operating system, and this aspect makes it very pleasant. Otherwise, it's OpenOffice, there's not much else to add.

**What do you dislike about NeoOffice?**

Based on OpenOffice builds, it is not always perfectly aligned with the latest versions, as the new version needs to be built on OpenOffice. Often, it happens that we have to wait for certain bug fixes made on OpenOffice to arrive here as well. Additionally, it consumes more memory than the original and sometimes, when using certain functions, it seems to freeze.

**Recommendations to others considering NeoOffice:**

If you are content with not having the very latest version of OpenOffice but a UI fully integrated with the OS, then this software is for you; personally, it wasn't enough for me.

**What problems is NeoOffice solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Simply the pleasantness of an interface aligned with the operating system (despite being developed in Java) represents a strength, as it features the classic UI elements of the Mac: menu from the top bar of the screen, keyboard shortcuts, integration of the system clipboard.
