Motus is a platform specialized in managing vehicle reimbursements in companies.

Its value proposition focuses on optimizing expenses for companies (precise mileage calculations) and eliminating tasks of no value for company car users thanks to the automatic detection of trips / KM and their reimbursement.

In the calculation of routes / kilometers, there are specific problems with calculation / precision. Manual input can be greatly improved, as it is slow and complex. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Nonstop popups to share location. I choose not to share location and dismiss the popup, but then on the VERY next page it pops up again. Horrible implementation to prompt a user more than once in a "session". This is UX 101 stuff.

As for actual functionality, the GUI for favorites / common locations could be improved with 5 min of coding.

The app and experience in general shows a clear "we own marketshare therefore don't need to innovate" approach. You could teach a high school class dedicated to "foolish mistakes that Apps make" on this app alone. But they likely dont care because they have the market cornered? The best thing about Motus Vehicle is it makes it EXTREMELY easy to integrate, use, and achieve accurate reimbursement for your business vehicle expenses. I use MOTUS almost daily and I have no complaints. It will track your mileage real time and for those who are like me and sometimes forget to start the tracker, you can enter manually. The app is very easy to use and transparent on all reimbursements. If you have questions customer support is quick to respond and very helpful. I would ABSOLUTELY suggested using Motus Vehicle! I don't dislike anything. One suggestion for improvement would be that if you start your tracker somewhere other than your base location there should be an option to start from base. I forget to hit my track button and may remember 15 - 20 min out and if I hit the track button it starts from wherever I am currently. The most helpful tool is automatically recording mileage. Just set your working date and time range and the app automatically captures all those miles. It's simple to navigate and edit trips if needed. I like using the app for the day to day, and at the end of the month I can use the desktop version to edit/add trips. Anytime I have emailed or called support, they have been great and answered my questions. Overall, it's really easy to use, and flows smoothly with my workflow. The only downside I can think of is that sometimes it does not capture your starting point in the morning, so you may need to make a few adjustments at the end of the month. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Driving my own vehicle is the only advantage, however it is also a disadvantage because I would not drive this nice of a vehicle for my personal budget. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I feel that it is too much manual tracking leaving major room for human error. We are all very busy, and it is easy to forget to turn it on. We do not drive a normal schedule every day. We are all over the place at all different times of the day and night for the business.

EZPASS is very complicated to manage business between personal, so I just do not expense my tolls because I am afraid that I am going to overcharge my company.

I am out well over one hundred dollars a month just in tolls. I absolutely do not have time to sort through all of the tolls for expensing.

I receive $600 - $700 a month from Motus.

My vehicle payment alone is $700 a month (I was forced to buy a new vehicle upon changing to Motus).

My insurance is $130.00/ month.

I am in need of new tires $1,000.

Oil change $175.00

Fuel - I fill up on average twice a week = $400 a month.

My vehicle expenses are literally double of what I receive monthly from Motus.

I am a single female with no children. I would have a small, fuel-efficient vehicle for myself, not a non-fuel-efficient SUV.

I am not one to voice, and I am a very positive personality...but this is just absurd and a very hot topic with my work peers.

I use Motus to easily track business mileage every week and love that I can enable/disable it at the click of a button. The fact that I can easily start and stop the location tracking service on my mobile phone means my battery isn't constantly being drained due to GPS queries happening in the background all of the time (which was an issue with tracking apps I've used in the past). The interface for editing trips (to add description, etc) on the mobile app takes a few too many clicks. It would be nice to be able to edit trip descriptions (which are required for all of my business trips) in line from the trip list rather than having to navigate 2-3 levels down to do this. The ease of using the auto track feature on Motus takes away almost all of the work of having to track the 15-20 business stops I make a day, and when you use it 5-6 days a week it makes a difference, and with the added feature with the last update of being able to mark a stop as a personal stop it makes it even easier to validate my mileage at the end of the month. Sometimes it will register a stop in traffic as an actual stop, and also won’t always register every stop I visit. Neither are life shattering issues and really are just nit picky. Also the reimbursement hasn’t seemed to raise with cost of living, but I know that is not Motus at fault. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The most helpful thing about Motus is the minimal interaction and ease of use during the interactions. You turn it on and turn it off and never have to worry about calculating business miles. I like the edit feature, which allows me to correct any over or underestimates. I use this app daily and once it became part of the routine, its the easiest part of my day! I also like how easy it is to review and submit miles every month. I always worry about doing the "right thin" when it comes to recording and submitting business related expenses, and Motus takes one extra worry away! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Really the biggest downside was training myself to remember to turn it on and off daily. But once that was a habit, there really isn't a downside! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like how easy it is to track daily mileage and the direct deposit payouts. I keep my log in my card and just enter it by the end of the month. I have used others that were much more labor expensive, which ultimately cost me money as sometimes it was just not worth the effort. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The software does not integrate with Google maps. While this is less of a dislike and more of a want, I would really like the ability to have google maps track my location and auto add it to Motus. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
