Currently, if we hire a replacement and there is an onboarding overlap with the departing employee, we are charged for the additional headcount during that transition window. There’s also no way to confirm whether a driver’s insurance is valid. When I log a ticket, it often takes days or even weeks to get a response or reach a resolution. As for actual functionality, the GUI for favorites / common locations could be improved with 5 min of coding. The app and experience in general shows a clear "we own marketshare therefore don't need to innovate" approach. You could teach a high school class dedicated to "foolish mistakes that Apps make" on this app alone. But they likely dont care because they have the market cornered? One suggestion for improvement would be that if you start your tracker somewhere other than your base location there should be an option to start from base. I forget to hit my track button and may remember 15 - 20 min out and if I hit the track button it starts from wherever I am currently. We are all very busy, and it is easy to forget to turn it on. We do not drive a normal schedule every day. We are all over the place at all different times of the day and night for the business. EZPASS is very complicated to manage business between personal, so I just do not expense my tolls because I am afraid that I am going to overcharge my company. I am out well over one hundred dollars a month just in tolls. I absolutely do not have time to sort through all of the tolls for expensing. I receive $600 - $700 a month from Motus. My vehicle payment alone is $700 a month (I was forced to buy a new vehicle upon changing to Motus). My insurance is $130.00/ month. I am in need of new tires $1,000. Oil change $175.00 Fuel - I fill up on average twice a week = $400 a month. My vehicle expenses are literally double of what I receive monthly from Motus. I am a single female with no children. I would have a small, fuel-efficient vehicle for myself, not a non-fuel-efficient SUV. I am not one to voice, and I am a very positive personality...but this is just absurd and a very hot topic with my work peers. If I did not love my company, this would push me to work elsewhere. **What problems is Motus Vehicle solving and how is that benefiting you?** N/A. ### 22. The fact that I can easily start and stop the location tracking service on my mobile phone means my battery isn't constantly being drained due to GPS queries happening in the background all of the time (which was an issue with tracking apps I've used in the past). It also offers good options to tune the tracking to suit your driving/stopping habits. **What do you dislike about Motus Vehicle?** The interface for editing trips (to add description, etc) on the mobile app takes a few too many clicks. It would be nice to be able to edit trip descriptions (which are required for all of my business trips) in line from the trip list rather than having to navigate 2-3 levels down to do this. The car payment is always on time and consistent. Uploading the forms needed every year has been simple. This is the most god-awful, nightmare fuel app on the market. Insufficient chatbot, terrible user interface, extremely buggy, non-existent support team. All you do is under-track my mileage to save your own money. Absolutely disgusting behavior. **What do you dislike about Motus Vehicle?** The app doesn't track me at the right addresses nor does it track mileage properly. I have an email from a support agent that claims mileage isn't actually tracked via GPS even though it says it is. Instead, it uses "best route" so even if I've driven 6 miles and the app thinks the best route was 4 miles, I get shorted those 2 miles. Inaccurate at best and a scam at worst. I have 3 months worth of hand written mileage tracking I've done on my own. Preparing to take it to a lawyer to be back paid for everything Motus has FAILED to pay out. Editing is fairly intuitive, which I tend to do on my laptop. **What do you dislike about Motus Vehicle?** There is nothing more frustrating than assuming the app is doing its job and then later finding out it has not been tracking stops for 2 weeks or more. I don't understand how and when it chooses to log me out. Some sort of notification would be appreciated to avoid the tedious manual input that results. I think the editing tools could be expanded. If I have work trips in the morning, then run some personal errands around lunch time, I usually go in and delete the personal mileage. When I do that, it can sometimes trigger an error message, and I have to delete and manual enter my afternoon trips. Also, when Allow app only to track when using, if you turn on start mileage , then push stop and then start again--it goes back and tracks where you were in between when you asked it not to,,,,,, Also--when you asked not to track, it has often come on Saturday and Sunday and reminds you it is still recording.....Even though on app Monday-Friday is selected..... **What problems is Motus Vehicle solving and how is that benefiting you?** Tracking mileage is asy and inputting mileage if you forget to turn it on is easy. Managing your mileage has been the best improvement. **What do you dislike about Motus Vehicle?** The total program is not equitable. Our base rate has increased about 2.5% over the past 5 years. Yet automobiles have increase > 25% and finance rates have increased 300%. Insurance has increased 54%. Flexible rate does not cover tire and maintenance. It is just enough to cover fuel. Tires have increase 45% and oil changes have increase 100% over that same time period. Hopefully you never crack a windshield, they do not pay 5/7ths of that amount. Finally not all of the insurance companies allows different coverage for multiple autos. You must have the increased coverages on all of your vehicles. When you have questions, MOTUS tells you to contact your employer. Your employer refers you back to MOTUS. Then you are provided the base and flexible rate plans. No one ever addresses if the starting point is fair. This program costs the employees money to do their job. **What problems is Motus Vehicle solving and how is that benefiting you?** This program is not a benefit in any fashion. We went from a company provided car that covered all maintenance and fuel. Now I have to pay money to do my job. ### 38. I don’t have to type in the whole address of the location manually which saves time. Submitting mileage for the week is easy as one button press. Correcting mileage mistakes is a simple process of deleting the mileage error and inputting the new one. **What do you dislike about Motus Vehicle?** I don’t like how it requires the vehicles odometer mileage to submit mileage as I have found myself not at my vehicle unable to check my odometer at the time of submitting my mileage. If it was optional for the odometer mileage reading that would speed things up and could be inputted at a later time if not with the vehicle. **What problems is Motus Vehicle solving and how is that benefiting you?** Motus vehicle solves the recording of mileage and it benefits me by accurately recording my mileage so I am reimbursed a fair amount of money from my company. ### 39. It is easy to select start, do my business travel, and then stop the app when finished. If I forget to start the tracking in the app, it is easy to mark the addresses I was starting from/going to and add the travel later. I appreciate the flexibility in design and tracking mechanisms. The app was easy to download, integrated with our company payroll system seamlessly, and is used daily. The few times I have used customer support, the response has been quick and my needs met. **What do you dislike about Motus Vehicle?** I dislike that the alert for out of compliance vehicle is always visible. I know my car is older than your recommendations, but as I have chosen to continue with it and confirmed in the paperwork within the app that I am aware I am out of compliance it should not have the annoying red alert. **What problems is Motus Vehicle solving and how is that benefiting you?** Motus recently improved their mileage submission for vehicles. I appreciate not having to run out to my car to get the car mileage every month when I have to submit my miles. ### 40. I consider that a good thing, Because my expectation for a product that I am not the customer for is extremely low. **What do you dislike about Motus Vehicle?** I really dislike the idea of being tracked all the time in order to be paid for the usage of my vehicle. This does affect the battery on my phone and it isn’t moderate inconvenience to periodically check-in and record mileage.
