I can then go back at the end of the day and just do an overview instead of having to write everything out. **What do you dislike about MileIQ?** There are some things that I dislike such as they are no longer included in my Office365 Subscription. Also, the app has some issues with distinguishing places if they are close to each other. Sometimes I will have to go in and correct the location. **Recommendations to others considering MileIQ:** I would says that this is one of the better Mileage Apps I have found. **What problems is MileIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?** Problems I am solving with this software are keeping detailed records of my day-to-day travels to customers and then back to home base at the end of the day. Setting 'work times' and home times is convenient, too. Autoclassify is useful to me. It's not invasive or overly annoying, but the reminders are helpful. **What do you dislike about MileIQ?** The last update made it a little more time-consuming to mass classify, the separated boxes are not as easy to use as a 'file' or list view, but it's not terrible. The segments / start-stop points aren't perfect, and sometimes, a long, slow ride has break ups, and a multiple stop is all one segement. for my particular purpose, I only need end of day totals, so it's fine. **What problems is MileIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?** Having a detailed record for tax deduction reporting for work use. You can designate business hours so it automatically classifies mileage that's business related, and you can designate trips that weren't as well. At the end of the month my employees just submit their reports, I print a log for our files and issue a check for reimbursement. It's super simple, easy to navigate and understand even for employees that aren't that tech savvy. We're totally digging it, two thumbs up! **What do you dislike about MileIQ?** Nothing. Having used other products that measure your mileage, this one takes the cake. By using the familiar "swipe right" or "swipe left", you can either do personal or business. If you want to get more granular, you can select from a preset list of business or personal uses. By adding more uses, you can really get useful information for taxes, business billing, or personal tax planning. **What do you dislike about MileIQ?** For whatever reason, it sometimes does not capture all drives if you do not have it up and running. By having it up and running (as an application), which you shouldn't have to do) all the time, it does limit the battery life. Adding new additional usages under the business and personal is sometimes baffling as you must use the desktop version for adding sometimes and then other times you can do it on the mobile version. **Recommendations to others considering MileIQ:** Install it on your mobile and then keep it up and running. **What problems is MileIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?** Instead of keeping a mileage log, you can use this application to keep track of all your drives, both personal and business. After a drive, I get a notification to classify as either personal or business expense. When it comes time to prepare my mileage report, printing is easy and the reports are clear. I even get a notification on my Apple watch and can classify there. **What do you dislike about MileIQ?** There are very few downsides to using MileIQ. The yearly subscription price is fair considering the amount of money I save on my tax returns. I suppose some people might not like to be constantly tracked, but you can always manually close the app and open it again when you need it. **What problems is MileIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am able to track my business mileage expenses and print a yearly tax report. You can also add parking fees and tolls to drives! I can't imagine trying to track drives on a Google Sheet like I used to do. **What do you dislike about MileIQ?** I believe I have the lower paid option and not every drive is tracked. You have to set up times for tracking, so last minute work drives may not record if you forget to open the app and select "start drive detection." **Recommendations to others considering MileIQ:** You can track all drives or turn on/off drive detection. This feature is great if you plan to take time off and know you won't be taking any work drives. Keep in mind if you have tolls (like I have bridge tolls), you'll need to enter that and parking fees separately. **What problems is MileIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am saving so much time compared to how I used to track miles. It sends the report in a very easy to read format and you can track how many of your miles are for personal and business. **What do you dislike about MileIQ?** You cannot auto classify all drives as a business drive. Therefore I need to spend hours swiping through all of my drive histories, and it can take some time. Also, you need to kee p the app running at all times in the background - if you switch off the app or shut your phone down it will no longer track your miles. This can be problematic when closing out all apps on iphone and you will be prompted to restart the app, slightly annoying but not too big of a deal. **Recommendations to others considering MileIQ:** I havent found an easier way to track my miles. This solution is affordable, easy to use and effective. I would shop around a bit - the price is around $50 a year which is reasonable considering how much it can help. There may be other options but I would argue the simplicity of the interface may not be as good as MileIQ. It was recommended to me by my last broker and I have used the application only on mobile since then. I'd recommend it to anyone who relies on mileage tracking but doesnt have the time or capacity to mess with tracking miles on your own. I would like it if it were a little cheaper but definitely worth it. **What problems is MileIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?** No complete auto classification but it does group similar drives and round trips. I use it to export mileage for tax purposes. I'd hate to track my miles the old fashioned way. I recommend this for people who previously dreaded the tax form for mileage deduction and dont want to keep all records scribbled down in a notebook. ### 29. Which I hardly reach. That's not why I started using the app. Having to email a report to myself is just literally STUPID! Why can't I just print from the menu? I try selecting the pdf button instead of email. On a MAC, the pdf opens in the OSX Preview APP not adobe reader. For some reason Preview won't print the report to an Epson printer. I don't know if the Preview/Printer issue is a Mac issue or Mile IQ. Except for having to tune it to business vs. personal rides, it seemed to automatically track my trips right. **What do you dislike about MileIQ?** I changed the vehicle reimbursement program for my business, and so I no longer need it......and you would think it would be easy to cancel, but it's not. I followed the instructions for removing/canceling it from Google Play, but there is no actual record of my subscription in Google Play. So, like all troubleshooting, after following available instructions I reached out to the help desk. They instructed me the same exact instructions as their website did, so that was useless. In fact, after going through each method in the process, including multiple attempts to resolve through their help center, I've received no resolution. It's obvious that something got messed up through the company got acquired by Microsoft. Their help center is useless for troubleshooting, and this entire process was a waste of energy. Don't bother subscribing through Google Play. If you get it for free from your 365 subscriptions, then have fun. I like that it will remember trips and auto classified them. I like that I can turn off and on the program as I see fit. I like can easily go back and look at drives from any month at any time and get easy to print summary of my driving logs. I like that you can pick different reason for any given trip. **What do you dislike about MileIQ?** Not a fan of the monthly price seem a little high in my opinion but if you drive a lot it might be worth it Not a fan that it automatic will turn on the following morning unless uncheck the option, Also not sure why the app wont work if the location permission is set to always, Allowing the app to location access when on should be all the permission it needs. Also it needs to be easier to go back and reclassify a drive when needed. **Recommendations to others considering MileIQ:** The app allows you to use it for 40 drives a month without a fee, so if you don't drive a lot you could use it for free.
