**What do you like best about Mosyle?**

I like that Mosyle is very clean and easy to use. It has a great user interface that keeps it minimal and doesn't overload you with features. It's especially convenient for an admin to navigate the user or admin dashboard, making all features and services promptly accessible without confusion. The interface gives me an easy way to resolve issues, troubleshoot, and find the core of a problem, which is really handy.

**What do you dislike about Mosyle?**

I think one of the biggest issues I have with Mosyle is its documentation is very limited. And even for the features that are available on the app, the documentation may not cover in-depth or with diagrams or screenshots, which is what is expected. The DNS filter or DNS protection had documentation that did not make sense for almost majority of the use cases, and I think they can use some exhaustive definitions. Mosyle can lose the track of client updates and, lose the connection with the client as an MDM, which is a security risk because then the right updates won't be pushed to a machine. One thing that ends up happening with the client update is, you have to make sure that if you're pushing any new policy, every client is to the latest version, which can be difficult. The client doesn't upgrade itself automatically on a lot of occasions or sometimes loses connection, which means it's idle or stale and has not been updated, which means we would have to involve the user to do the action.

I use Mosyle for effective MDM management for macOS and other Apple operating systems, ensuring compliance and security.

We have found Mosyle support to be at an impresive level of tech support.
They routinely respond to all reported issues within a more than reasonable amount of time.
This type of support is not easy to come by so take a bow! 

In particular, a world of thanks to Gui for his dedication to effectively supporting the Mosyle product from problem to resolution!

**What do you dislike about Mosyle?**

The remote control/access feature is not always a sure thing.
Some times the remote connects wwork and other times not.

The admin password feature is necessary but assigning a temp password for support matters would be appreciated.

**What problems is Mosyle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've experienced issues with other products to manage company Macs and so far, Mosyle is addressing our needs.

I like the functionality and the control the product allows for monitoring and pushing apps to our devices. It does exactly what you need a MDM product to do.

I cannot stand the look of the portal. I think it looks a little basic and clunky in design. I have used other MDM tools that look more sophisticated and professional. No bells and whistles, but it does the job.

It serves as our MDM tool. It allows me to restrict and monitor the tablets the district uses for testing. I can remotely install the applications we need and then lock into a kiosk mode, so students cannot use the device for anything other than testing purposes.

Mosyle is a simple, reliable MDM—worlds above our previous provider. It works great for a large organization, especially when you have multiple locations and many users to manage across the system. Customer support is amazing.

Mosyle can take a little time to learn when you’re coming from JAMF, but once you understand the terminology and the differences in how the tools work, it’s simple and easy to use. The main downside is that there are a few limitations compared to competitors.

Mosyle is allowing for seamless integration and setup, many managed users, easy enrollment. Device inventory and management is seamless with many managers, and allowing for great communication when needing support which is regular with 10 technology supervisors over the platform.

**What do you like best about Mosyle?**

The "price to performance" on Mosyle is insane - Some of the biggest names in the MDM field can't do much more but costs three times as much.
Mosyle really can stand on their own next to the "industry standard" alternatives.

Additionally, their support is is outstanding, fast and super helpful and professional every time.

Finally, Mosyle integrates effortlessly into numerous tools such which is absolutely ideal for a streamlined ITSM.

The only obvious downside that comes to mind are that there is no EU support which means their support hours follow NA.

**What problems is Mosyle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The platform offers MDM, security, and patch management features. It also provides a self-service option for end users to install applications on their own.
Additionally, the tight integration to GWS makes sure that end user experience is amazing for our employees

**What do you like best about Mosyle?**

It's been a journey as I'm not familiar with MDM tools!  Mosyle support are beyond helpful.  Many companies, most companies, do not respond at the speed or with the level of information that Mosyle provides.  Many responses are canned responses as they have come across the questions before - the same information is available online.  If however the response doesn't answer your question or you need to talk with someone they make themselves available (based on calendar availability - which is fair enough).

**What do you dislike about Mosyle?**

The majority of the community information on the web appears to be for Jamf and very little public info on Mosyle.  The company could really take advantage of community helping community.  It would also be invaluable to have a series of self help videos and tutorials.  Jamf seems to lead the way because there is more information out there to help users.

**What problems is Mosyle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The process is not clear overall - what is being pushed out to new devices and where are the details coming from.  There isn't an obvious step-by-step process which can be hard to get your head around.

**What do you like best about Mosyle?**

We can automate so much Mac deployment and management. This frees up staff resources to allow us to help users in other ways.Being able to push printers based on device group is simply amazing and a huge time saver!

**What do you dislike about Mosyle?**

I have yet to find something that I don't like. There are so many features and they are all pretty intuitive to configure, with some testing. We came from the Mosyle education side; the Business interface is way more intuitive. I guess one thing I would like to see is possibly more titles availalable in the Mosyle Business application library.

**What problems is Mosyle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mosyle Busines has taken so many manual processes that took time and effort off our plates. Also, our previous software deployment and patch management solution was on-prem only. Now our users can receive updates no matter where they are! With Mosyle Business' application library, we have way fewer packages that we have to manually maintain.

Coming from something far inferior (simple mdm) this MDM is built so well, easy to play around with and figure out on your own, and the support team is sooooo on top of things! I can't tell you how many times they have made a last minute call with me available just to help smooth things out before a big deployment. Honestly Mosyle is a breathe of fresh air.

**What do you dislike about Mosyle?**

Currently the only feature missing that I wish was there is a cut and dry auth for iPads like they have for MacOs. There are work arounds which they helped me implement, but it would be even better if the same Auth just worked for both.

Well thought out and controlled deployments with more custimization then I know what to do with. Literally if you want to do it, Mosyle can make it happen. Enables me to approach our future Apple deployments with confidence.

At first I though the speed of sending commands was the best thing about Mosyle, but then I had an issue and had to contact their support. Quickly that became my favorite thing about Mosyle.

**What do you dislike about Mosyle?**

I feel that it logs me out faster than I would like (15 minutes). Not a huge issue.

**What problems is Mosyle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our organization uses about 50 iPads. The devices are used heavily and the users come and go quickly. Mosyle allows me to quickly reassign devices to users with all the apps that they need to do their job. The ability to place a device in "lost mode" has already helped us recover 3 devices in the relatively short time that we have been using it. For me, the Mosyle pays for itself and at only $1.50/device per month, that's not hard to do.

**What do you like best about Mosyle?**

Their support is excellent. I get answers to my issues, usually on the same business day. I love that I can see everything about a device in the Management list. I use it every day and am able to resolve issues from the platform without having to touch the device. The platform also has instructions for renewing tokens and reminders are sent well before the expiration.

**What do you dislike about Mosyle?**

The only complaint I have is that it is sometimes confusing as to where profiles vs shared device groups are.

It solves the problem of having to touch the devices for updates, new apps and OS updates.

**What do you like best about Mosyle?**

It seems like there's nothing you can't do to simplify, control, and secure your fleet of Apple computers and devices with Mosyle. It's incredibly powerful and reasonable user friendly given the incredible amount of options. It's not exactly "easy" to use for the completely non-technical, but it is straightforward.

Ultimately, it's the incredible support that makes it to the top of the list. FAST responses over the internal ticketing system have been repeatedly met with quick scheduling of zoom calls that have sometimes gone on for over an hour. In each case, the support person has been patient, knowledgeable, and a clear communicator.

**What do you dislike about Mosyle?**

The interface is good, but it's not world-class design by modern app standards. It's very dense, the interface elements are small, and there's lots of nested menus. But this is also a VERY powerful system, so it's definitely on par with other premium pro-level software. It'd say it's generally better and easier to navigate than, say, the admin interface for Google Workspace (as of right now). So, if you can navicate that thing, you'll have no problem. It's definitely learnable.

It keeps us from needing dedicated IT with 18+ local employees and remote staff.

**What do you like best about Mosyle?**

Mosyle is always ready zero day.  I've never had to hold back an update because Mosyle wasn't ready.  Mosyle has also been extremely reliable for managing iPads and the scoping abilities provided are game changing for us.

Onboarding new techs to the interface is also super easy.  In fact we have help desk students (grades 7-8) who we train to use Mosyle to support their fellow students.  Building trust ACLs are easy to taylor their abilities and make sure they don't get more info then they need.  Logs also available through the web page to keep an eye on them.

The common price point across all supported devices makes budgetting super easy.  I don't have to worry about if I have enough Mac licenses per say... just that I have enough licenses total.  I also don't have to worry at all about AppleTV licensing.  Its just part of it.

Mosyle has released several major features since we migrated over in the summer of 2020.  Intergrations like: Content Filtering, Security Scouting of devices, Mosyle App Catalogs to deploy 3rd party apps on Macs & A.I. Script writing support to name only a few.  These are not add on services as other competitiors would do, but just part of the same product we're all ready buying to Manager our Apple hardware.  The cost of Mosyle didn't go up drastically when these things came.  There was no strong arming to adopt the new stuff.  Mosyle just kinda goes with the flow like hay we got this stuff.   You want it flip the switch and reach out for help.  Not interested cool keep doing you, but were still here if you need something.

**What do you dislike about Mosyle?**

Lack of good API.  The API access is good, but the API lacks the depth I would expect to be available.  For instance as a power user of the API I should be able to delete devices througth the API.  Yes add a checkbox in the web side that I understand this is a bad idea and thats ok.  I would willing check the "This is on Me box" if it allowed me more flexibility.

Mosyle's public side documentation is also very poor.  I've inquired about this a few times and been told its by choice, but you have to admin it would be great if google searches for Mosyle knowledge would lead back to Mosyle instead of the mosyle subreddit.  As a former JAMF user I can easily understand how their docs can be applied to Mosyle, but I also see myself as advanced user.

It would be great if Mosyle had some sort of Mosyle credited support test.  Not for myself, but see in what I like best about mosyle.. for the students we have supporting others with Mosyle.  I think they'd find it really cool and almost in a Mosyle gives back way could be really cool.

**What problems is Mosyle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mosyle's intergration of Content Filtering benefits us greatly.  We tried many content filter products for the iPad and they all fell short on the intergration side.  Yes they cool AI search features to point out the kids who did bad searches and emailed Admins screenshots when certain sites were accessed, but when setup on the iPad they either didn't work, failed regularly, or since they didn't understand the web traffic the iPad MUST have to do app updates and talk to MDM, create situations where devices just ended up bricked because they couldn't get back on the internet.  MosyleDNS while not having those alleged super cool features does the job plain and simple and is fully iOS intergrated.

Mosyle's scoping abilities to quickly tag software deployments and profiles to grade levels, classes, schools, etc are also major time savers for us, but something even better is that our IT department has pretty much handed over app deployment to the teachers.  Using the Manger app on the Mac or iOS (yeah theres a webpage too but we don't tell the teachers about it) a staff member can easily select pre authorized apps from a list to allow to their students.  At that point students can self install those apps or the teacher can force out during a study session.  Either way IT does not need to get involved.  This also means we deploy less apps during a new format and our network takes less of a beating during said deployments.  We trade out around 1200 devices every summer (600 new and 600 refitting) and every Mb matters there!

I love how simple it is to use and that it makes my life as an admin so much easier.
The enrollment is simple and I love all the different features available to tailor different experiences for different grades as it is needed. I use it everyday and now my teachers are starting to use the classroom experience and they love it!

I have a hard time removing apps sometimes. They come back. Not sure why but now I simply add them to the blocked apps, which is quick and easy.

It allows me to have all of my devices in one place for me to manage easily. I have them grouped by grades so it makes it easy to manage based on each class needs.

There are many different configs within their tool. You can be as granular with access as you want. Their support is top notch and responses are very in depth. They've written custom command scripts for app installs which was amazing. They have an admin on demand tool that lets non admin users request temp access which reduces the need for end users to always have admin access so it reduces security breaches

There isn't much I can say that I dislike. I'd say they can continue to listen to community feeback which they have been

Zero touch deployment. Their tool lets me send out a new Mac that is setup by the end user since it is linked to Apple business manager account and synced to Mosyle's configs.

Mosyle is the best MDM product to provide a consistent user experience. It is also incredibly easy to use as the administrator. The app catalog and pre-set configurations are the best features. Implementation is painless, even for the least tech-savvy user. Their customer support ticketing system is efficient, and the responses always include a detailed explanation of how the product can best work for my use case.

Apart from support techs -- who are great once you get them, for no more than the length of a free Zoom call -- support blows. The written guidance is laughable. There is no wiki or support community apart from what's self-generated in slack. There's no ability like most other platforms to create community conversations about needed changes which Mosyle can observe and weigh in on.

To reiterate, the support techs are great. It's easy to schedule them. But that isn't enough.

Mosyle has about everthing you need to manage iOS and MacOS devices in your business environment. They're support is phenomenal. They always respond quickly and have never failed to help me resolve an issue or answer a question. It's easy to use, implement and integrate. We use it daily with no only rare issues, usually involving just technical questions I have about certain features.

I have experienced no downsides of using Mosyle. It is superior to any other MDM software I have used in the past.

Mosyle allows us to lock down our Apple devices so that we feel comfortable allowing them onto our network knowing that all the security features we require are keeping all other devices safe.  it also allows us to keep a standardization of features, configurations, and applications that we have approved for business use in our company.

**What do you like best about Mosyle?**

Mosyle is quick and it just works. I have gone through many products that have a lot of stops in them, or the functionality is just not there. Compliance, user issues, computer issues, it doesn't matter what my day to day is I always start my day with Mosyle. Outside of my workflow I think Mosyle as a company has a good work flow as well. Functions and features feel well tested. When you have more time to work on what you need to get done instead of dealing with fixing someone elses product you are getting your moneys worth. I have never had to send any support tickets about bugs. When ever I have a question for Mosyle they always reply quick. They always know what it is im trying to accomplish and will provide me with supporting details about the next steps after what it is I was asking for.

**What do you dislike about Mosyle?**

I think I am still too green to know what Mosyles downsides are as I have been using them for a year. One thing I can say being newer to it is there is a lot of features. Im not sure if I would like things to be bundled, but I think it would be less overwhelming at times if there was a quick fix, or all in one button along with the individual items when you need to get more detailed about it.

**What problems is Mosyle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The largest thing Mosyle is solving is Compliance. It can be a bit overwhelming when trying to adjust so many things across your entire network but when you dont have to spend as much time on your device and software management it lets you use your time in other places. Aside from the compliance, it helps me when solving user issues. We have some remote users that I can just send commands to, and do the work on my end so that they dont have it try and troubleshoot.

The time difference between europe and the US when we need to solve an issue quickly but have to wait until the support team start to work which is usually many hours in head of us. But this is not Mosyle's fault. That's how the time difference work when you are located in two different continents.

I have had some issues with my Macbook locking me out when it's integrated with Okta. I'd like to see some improvement in the way Mosyle interacts with Okta so I don't have future issues when I would like to shut down/restart my computer.

I love that I can post a question and get some sort of reply within a day - often sooner. We have to dedicate time in reporting issues and getting assistance - that's probably the only downside.

Love the product but it's not intuitive (to me or my team) and that limits how effectively we are able to use our computers. 

That being said, it may just be something we need to learn better. If you had any guided walkthroughs of features, that would be helpful. (So please share them if you can!)

Very easy to use and easy to navigate interface. Free to use for most common features for education users too. Free accounts don't include access to support, however Mosyle support are usually helpful where they can be despite this.

There's nothing really to dislike - there are some features that are unavailable in the free offering, however this is to be expected as if they gave the product away completely there would be no business for them. It does everything we require it to, FOC, and it's easy to use.

When we started searching for a new MDM for our non-profit org, we knew we wanted something that didn't take up all of our time to keep up with. We also didn't want to pay an arm and a leg for an MDM. Thankfully, Mosyle is extremely easy to use and doesn't require any attention most days. It just works. And it's the most affordable option we could find!

**What do you dislike about Mosyle?**

Like any platform, Mosyle has some quirks that you have to get used to, but any time that we've had to submit a support ticket, we usually have heard back within an hour. We also had a rep help us go through the setup and onboarding process which made it way easier to figure out.

**What problems is Mosyle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have over 100 devices that are used weekly that need to be secured remotely. Mosyle lets us instantly modify restrictions, update/install apps, and remotely update or factory reset devices, it even has an antivirus built in for our computers.

Mosyle is easy to set up and maintain. Especially the solution they offer with Fuse has the advantage that security tools and a CDN for all your custom packages are included. Apart from that their support is fast and very thoughtful and if something has not been tested or implemented yet, they usually test and add features to your environment(s). To us, their excellent support is one of the many great things about Mosyle.

**What do you dislike about Mosyle?**

Although the fact that it is only on the Apple platform and not a cross-platform MDM solution, makes it straightforward, the lack of support for Windows and Android clients makes it unsuitable for deployment in some cases. For our customer base not really a big deal, but some competitors may have an edge in that respect for larger cross-platform deployments.

**Recommendations to others considering Mosyle:**

Make sure you have your Apple infrastructure completely setup, including ABM / DEP and well documented. And think about the use of Apple-IDs versus Managed Apple-IDs and a possible transition from personal ID to managed and what the consequences and impact of that move will be. Especially if you're planning to integrate that with Mosyle Auth2 and/or federated accounts  in ABM, from MS Azure or Google or others. Especially for Apple resellers/integrators, this is a must. Otherwise you might end up with issues concerning your Apple-IDs and accounts that are already in use. There is no way back once you start transitioning along that path.

**What problems is Mosyle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Central-, remote management, automatic deployment and maintenance of workstations, small mediaservers and iOS clients at different and often quite remote locations. Especially control over security settings and versions of OS and application installs and configuration of custom profiles is a big plus over older, more manual approaches and imaging.

You can, with ease, access a wealth of information regarding the devices such as Serial numbers, Operating Systems, available storage etc. All are presented clearly and compactly. You are also easily able to deploy apps to your devices whether it be individually or through groups.

I found that initially, it was confusing to work through the interface and often find myself in the wrong place, but once you get used to it, it does seem to make more sense and becomes less of an issue.

The philosophy of how Mosyle handles the trial period is phenomenal. You get 100% free access for 30 days and 100% access to support. The concept of building a business model that allows you unlimited access to high quality support technicians for really everything you need, is stand out. Absolutely stand out. I can't tell other Administrators enough about the level of support, and escalated support, you can get for 3rd party apps, customizations, etc. Any hang-up. That's because Mosyle wants the product to work for you and if it's not, they will not let a knowledge gap be the barrier. 

Beyond the support, the platform is a modern slick interface. I have not found a single configuration that seems to be missing. Our biggest ask was a directory/user setup integration with Azure AD and they can do it, easily. We use macOS, iOS and have no plan to ever change. We've used MaaS360, Intune and Jamf. Mosyle is the best price, best product I've ever used for Apple MDM.

**What do you dislike about Mosyle?**

I can't tell you anything. Honestly, I've thought carefully about this review and what to say and there's nothing I've found to be critically wrong with the platform. 

Please stay on top of what Apple continues to roll out. :) Also, if they ever allow for us to enable location services on Company devices, please enable that for users. I know Apple is not truly as business friendly as I think most people would like.

Mosyle created a scalable Apple deployment solution for a business with over 100 employees. It was easy and efficient to manage. Mosyle reduced overhead and overall effort to manage Mac and iOS, which ultimately justified for us the cost.

Mosyle definitely does what it's supposed to do: manage Apple devices. It offers a lot of functionality and custom settings making it simple to deploy devices ready for use by employees

The product and Knowledgebase aren't built for IT novices. You must have a strong understanding of IT and computer jargon in order to use or make any changes to the settings and the Knowledgebase may or may not have information on *how* to do something, but doesn't explain *what* the effects of the change will be. When we initially set up Mosyle with the help of 2 Mosyle account managers, we were rushed through the process and hardly understood what they were doing. We got a distinct feeling that the representatives didn't want to be there. However, their general Support team is friendly and helpful.

**Recommendations to others considering Mosyle:**

Great option if you have an IT manager or team. Not a good option for smaller companies that don't have an IT person(s).

Asset management, forced password protection, and asset deployment. We not only know where our company equipment is located, but we have the ability to lock and wipe the equipment in the unlikely case it is lost or stolen.

Mosyle is a great product especially when you have a limited use case.  My company has a small number of Macs compared to PCs and we were looking for an MDM solution that was simple enough for an IT staff with limited MacOS experience but robust enough to meet our management requirements.  We were able to get Mosyle rolled out quickly and get our MacOS devices truly managed for the first time.

**What do you dislike about Mosyle?**

There is not a tremendous amount of documentation out there for creating software packages with Mosyle, so I sometimes adapt Jamf documentation to get things working with Mosyle.  That being said, I've reached out to their support many times and they've been tremendously helpful in helping us understand the product and package design. One determined technician even created a particularly challenging deployment script for us!

**What problems is Mosyle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mosyle has allowed us to start controlling software distribution, security patching, system updates, and security baselines for our small MacOS fleet. It also allows us to monitor our assets and access lifecycles for these devices.

With remote working so prevalent, Zero Touch Deployment has been a huge help. Also SSO with our users using Googe Authentication has worked perfectly. Having security features enforced was a big one along with malware detection and removal.

So far I haven't found any downsides. It has a very rich feature set, so at times you have to be careful with any config changes. There is not much that needs improving

Straightforward interface and integration that simply works.  The price point CANNOT BE BEAT! 
Once apple DEP, push certificate integration is setup the updates quickly and accurately. 
The demo and onboarding team is second to none!!!   The team is genuinely interested in your success and handled my endless questions in a timely fashion, with screen-share meetings, and feedback from the devs.  
Unlike other MDM solutions I've used, the information that the dashboard displays is always up-to-date.   The mosyle auth add-on is absolutely worth the cost, and was easy to implement.

**What do you dislike about Mosyle?**

My only suggestion / room for improvement is an "outside the app"  support pages / KB / community.   Services like meraki and jamf have very robust communities, and there have been times where I wished I could collaborate with other admins to bounce ideas or scripts off of each other.

**What problems is Mosyle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The largest problem we've been able to solve is a seamless single sign-on experience for the end users.  Once the Mosyle auth login screen appears, they are able to enter their directory credentials and that is one less password they have to remember!  not to mention that it saves time and stress caused by manual password changes / keychain issues via the System Preferences menu. 
Another huge benefit has been standardizing our setups based on user groups / device groups.   Mosyle allows you to setup device groups.  When you create a profile (for example a screensaver profile you want for you sales team), you can simply apply that profile to just the "sales-team-device-group"!

The systems sometime lags in showing the events, but the events occur in the real time though. The system can be pricey especially if you have many devices.

The system integrates very well with Apple School Manager, and for a reasonable price helps you manage and controll huge ammount of devices and users.

The system controlls entire inventory which is very useful if you many devices to administer. Also makes easy the mass deployment of the devices through Apple DEP program. I can secure your devices from being stolen, and can disable the dvice anytime needed.

**What do you like best about Mosyle?**

Full featured application, just as much as you'd find in JAMF.

**What do you dislike about Mosyle?**

Very buggy, many features are patchy and don't work, not very reliable.
Customer support have limited working hours and dont response straight away.
Various emails to account management get ingored.

**What problems is Mosyle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm begging to think it would be easier to manually configure machiens via TeamViewer then to bother with MDM.

I love the simplicity of the Cloud Base program and how collaborates and integrates with Apple school ASM

**What do you dislike about Mosyle?**

I have been with mosyle for 4 yrs and I haven't found something that I dislike

**Recommendations to others considering Mosyle:**

If you gave budget limitation and you want something that is simple and easy to use, as well work very well with Apple School i recommend mosyle for you school.

**What problems is Mosyle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Manage Ipad , macbooks and apple TV, as well apple configurator is a plus that can be use with Mosyle.
