"Transparent Monitoring Without the Big Brother Feel Smart Blur Is Amazing"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Monitask?

At Marine Layer, we start with a culture of comfort and consciousness, which includes our approach to our remote/hybrid workforce. What I like best about Monitask is that it offers transparency without the feeling of being a big brother company. As an SEO Manager, I work with a range of content creators and technical experts. The Smart Blur feature of Monitask itruly azing. We can use it to screenshot our keyword research and site audit processes, all while maintaining our internal sensitive information. Its the proof of work needed to ensure our organic strategy is on track without violating our high-trust environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Monitask?

The fact that it doesn't natively integrate with other fundamental SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, or Search Console is an opportunity that is being missed. I find myself switching back and forth between in-depth analytics reports and strategy documents. It would be a huge time-saver to have Monitask automatically track time spent on a given URL or tool. The mobile app for managers is still a little limited. When Im traveling to our retail locations, it can be a little more difficult to get a quick, high-level view of what my team is working on during their current sprint. "Live Dashboard Transparency That Keeps Remote Teams on Track"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Monitask?

At JuneShine, transparency and sustainability are at our core. What I like best about Monitask is that it brings the same level of transparency to our regional operations. As a Regional Manager, I need to know that my remote sales and operations teams are working on the right accounts at the right time during these critical phases of expansion. The Live Dashboard is a game-changer, allowing me to have a "birds eye view" of my team's activities across different regions. The automated timesheets and screenshot verification also offer a level of proof-of-work thats critical to our field marketing campaigns without needing to constantly check in for status updates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Monitask?

One thing that I think is needed is more mobile-specific features for field managers. As a team that is always on the go, visiting our retail partners or checking in at our tasting rooms, a more manager-specific mobile app for tracking "on the move" tasks such as visiting stores would be a huge plus for us. Also, although the idle time alerts are a huge plus for staying accountable, it sometimes go off in the middle of a brainstorming session or a long account review meeting. Having a Meeting Mode or more controls for non-keyboard-intensive tasks would help us keep our productivity scores more accurate for deep work time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Centralized Visibility and Automated Reporting That Save Hours"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Monitask?

What I like best about Monitask is its centralized visibility, especially across different time zones. As a Regional Manager, I obviously cannot be everywhere at once, but Monitasks Live Dashboard is like having my eyes on the ground. I can monitor activity levels of our regional leads and support teams in real-time. The automated reporting is also a feature I really appreciate, as it eliminates hours of tedious data aggregation each week. I receive a clean, audited report of exactly where our labor hours are being spent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Monitask?

While offline tracking is a good feature, it would be better if it were smoother. There are times when our regional leads are out of the office, visiting different areas, and connectivity is spotty, especially when visiting different sites. I would also appreciate a higher level of anomaly detection in activity reports. For example, if there were an AI-based alert for a specific project if its deviating from its historical average time on task, this would help me be more proactive rather than reactive. "Automated Proof of Work and Live Dashboards Bring Clarity to Labor Allocation"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Monitask?

At Marukai, we face the challenge of a high-volume retail business. As such, we need precision in labor allocation. What I like best about Monitask is the automated proof of work and the live dashboard. As an Operations Manager, it is vital to have a pulse on the administrative and logistics workforce who are supporting the back-end of our brick-and-mortar business. The live dashboard allows me to view the bandwidth of different departments at a glance without needing to ask the teams to send me a report. It adds a level of transparency to the corporate and back-end workflows that were previously absent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Monitask?

In a grocery and retail environment, a lot of our processes are away from the keyboard, such as inventory audits or visual inspections. I would like to see some enhancements to the mobile tracking and geofencing. Currently, if a support lead is on-the-go visiting our various California-based stores, it would be a little harder to track this time on the desktop client. Also, I would like to see some enhancements to the reporting filter for large teams. I think it would be beneficial to be able to create even more custom retail-specific tags for various store support teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Monitask’s Timeline and Live Dashboard Keep Our UI Projects on Track."
4.5/5
What do you like best about Monitask?

At Chromatic, we are passionate about visual consistency and workflow optimization. The best part of Monitask for me is the Timeline and Screenshot tool, which allows for a visual audit trail of our project work. As a project manager, it is very useful to have the ability to view the development of UI elements and retail landing pages without having to break the flow state of the developers to get an update on their status. The Live Dashboard gives me a real-time pulse on our resource utilization, and I can see exactly what workstreams are being focused on and where we may need to adjust to hit a sprint deadline. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Monitask?

One thing that I would like to see is more integration with Figma and GitHub. Since our projects exist at the nexus of design and code, it would be a total game-changer if Monitask time logs could automatically sync with specific GitHub pull requests or Figma files. This would allow us to much more accurately analyze our estimated versus actual time logs. Finally, the front end of the reporting suite looks a bit old-fashioned compared to the developer tools that we use on a daily basis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Clear Visibility Into Production Cycles with Monitask’s Timeline Feature"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Monitask?

At Olipop, we operate at a very high velocity and with a strong emphasis on trust and transparency as our cultural foundation. What I like best about Monitask is that it enables this high-trust approach by giving me a clear view into our production cycles without requiring constant, interrupt-driven check-ins. The proof-of-work through the timeline feature gives me visibility into the development of our creative work from concept to final social asset live. This helps ensure that our remote creative team is in lockstep across time zones, which is critical for a brand that exists and thrives on digital shelf presence and engagement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Monitask?

I would like to see more integration with creative software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Frame.io. As a Production Manager, my team and I spend hours on deep work with large video files. Occasionally, Monitask’s idle time detection occurs during large render jobs or when we are evaluating physical product packaging samples in person, away from our desks. The ability to tag these specific production tasks would ensure that they are not recorded as idle time in our reports. Furthermore, a more mobile-friendly manager interface would be a significant advantage when I am traveling for on-site shoots or IRL brand activations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Real-Time, Data-Driven Sales Insights That Boost Ownership."
4/5
What do you like best about Monitask?

At Plaid, our values include a customer-first and high-ownership approach. What I like best about Monitask is its ability to enable this sense of ownership through its objective, data-driven insights into our sales processes. As a Sales Director, it is my job to make sure our Account Executives are spending time on high-leverage activities such as complex deal coaching and strategic retail account planning, and not simply treading water on administrative tasks. The Live Dashboard gives me the ability to identify bottlenecks in our sales performance around the world in real-time, so we can meet our expansion goals without introducing unnecessary complexity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Monitask?

Although it’s a great product for overall productivity, I would have liked to see more native integrations with fintech CRM workflows. In our space, a salesperson may spend hours engaging in a deep dive tech review or security audit with a retail partner. Monitask may sometimes mark this as low activity if there isn’t constant keyboard activity. I would have liked to see an "Impact Mode" where we can mark areas of deep work or strategic consultation so that it doesn’t affect the overall productivity score. Also, a more API-first approach to custom reporting would have been more in line with Plaid’s own developer-centric DNA. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Lean, Frictionless Scaling for Sales Management with Live Dashboard"
4/5
What do you like best about Monitask?

At PlanetScale, we work with scale on a daily basis. What I like best about Monitask is that it scales our management abilities without introducing friction. As a Sales Director, I appreciate the Live Dashboard and the activity split. This enables me to monitor, in real-time, the amount of work being invested in our most challenging retail clients. The automated proof-of-work is an excellent trust-builder; it removes the necessity for micro-management status check-ins, so I can concentrate on teaching and closing deals instead of soliciting status updates. It’s lean, quick, and gets out of the way of the salespeople. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Monitask?

I would like to see more CRM integration, particularly for technical sales processes. While it does track time perfectly, being able to track that time directly to certain stages of a deal in Salesforce or HubSpot would be a huge win for our cost to close calculation for large retail clients. Additionally, the notification system could be more customizable; I would like to see more granular control over which activity alerts hit my dashboard so that I can see only the high-level trends that matter for my weekly forecasts. "Transparency-First Monitoring with Powerful Screenshot Proof of Work."
4.5/5
What do you like best about Monitask?

As the Director of Marketing for HATCH Collective, I lead a team of creative strategists, content creatives, and digital marketers who are redefining the maternity space. My favorite part of Monitask is the focus on transparency rather than surveillance. We are a brand that is deeply rooted in community and authenticity, and Monitask helps facilitate this value by giving me an in-depth look into my team without feeling overly intrusive. Additionally, the screenshot verification is an excellent proof of work tool, allowing me to view the visual evolution of campaigns, starting with a mood board and ending with our social content, in real-time, to ensure consistency in brand across all our legacy store brands such as Motherhood Maternity and A Pea in the Pod. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Monitask?

Perhaps the level of detail in the creative deep work reports could be improved. A marketing team member might spend two hours away from their keyboard brainstorming a new content series for our BABE platform or arranging a call with medical experts. Monitask might occasionally tag this as minimal productivity and idle hours. A feature that accommodates different labels for these creative sprints would be fantastic, as it would eliminate any penalty for these periods in the productivity reports. Lastly, it would be great to see a more visual, modern dashboard that matches the style and sophistication of the HATCH brand. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Practical oversight for a growing remote team"
5/5
What do you like best about Monitask?

OUTLINE:

I work as an eCommerce Manager at a BPO company having 120 employees. We have been utilizing Monitask on a cloud setup for nearly 2 years. A large part of our workforce shifted to remote roles and we needed a structured way to track time and productivity without building a reporting manual. It didn’t take long for Monitask to fit in.

Main purpose.:

Our dependency relies on monitoring work hours, checking application usage and assessing organisational productivity trends across client support teams. Supervisors review activity summaries to ensure time spent matches assigned accounts. If performance data is retrieved automatically every week, it saves managers a lot of time.

Monitask is constantly watching our attendance and activity levels. This helps impove accountability and minimizes payroll discrepancies. Currently, we have a lot less conflicts regarding our logged hours; and we report on our clients a lot more accurately. It's quite usual for TSMs to use the dashboards daily, and this would be an everyday thing. By using the integration with Jira, we can measure our time spent vs ticket volumes. Slack keeps our communications in line when questions come up about gaps in activity. QuickBooks Online allows us to reconcile billable hours. The cost estimate and number of employees involved proves our business plan is within budget range. Support hasn’t fluctuated. The responses to our configuration questions during rollout were clear and timely. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Monitask?

Software for Controlling Activity always raises privacy concerns. It was necessary for us to define what is tracked and what is not. It can create tension without transparency. Tools like ActivTrak offer deeper analytics, along with stronger reporting customization. The same cannot be said here. We also checked out Time Doctor which has additional workflow features that Monitask doesn’t have. To establish the upfront policies and permissions, there will be coordination between HR and IT. The task at hand is quite easy. It does require some structure though. This monitoring is likely not for teams that are super creative and flexible, but not highly active or measurable.
