## Middleware Reviews
  ### 1. MiddlewareHQ is a great solution for manage teams and get relevant information of the projects

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sofia M. | Senior Technology Project Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Middleware?**

Working with JIRA, GitHhub, with MiddlewareHQ we can get different metrics without getting into manual reports. It's really easy to get all the metrics for internal meetings.
Great tool to have the performance of the team, JIRA requires a lot of namual filters to get the data, however i can directly get the summary about the bottlenecks.
It gets easier to measure goals that change every quarter for us. Earlier i used to work with Google sheets, Excel, Charts but now with Middleware, everything is available in one tool.

**What do you dislike about Middleware?**

I would like to have more features in roadmap module

**What problems is Middleware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A lot problems such as:
Reduce the time to get the information related to performance of the teams
Perform new chats for analysis of the sprints
Identify the bottlenecks of the team
Bring new metrics related to GitHub according to the PRs and frequency deployment
Increase the performance of the team with analysis such as retrospective summary

  ### 2. Finally a consolidated solution for Program/Project/Product Managers

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carlos S. | Program Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Middleware?**

I like that it takes a consolidated, one stop shop, all at your finger tips, graphical approach highlighting all the required metrics needed for successfully managing software development Programs, Projects and Products. Easy to integrate, easy to add users, navigation and transitions are smooth, and the Customer Support is very responsive.

**What do you dislike about Middleware?**

That it wasn't provided to me sooner. I could have used this instead of manually compiling this data.

**What problems is Middleware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping our oranization master DORA metrics. It's outlining Lead Time to delivery, Lead time to recovery, bugs, to name a few. It also provides in depth analysis for evaluating multiple workstreams (delivery trains), as well as the individual resource contributions. It highlights bottlenecks and provides a very accurate AI summary.

  ### 3. Robust Data Metrics For Engineering Teams

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Middleware?**

Our organization was excited to partner with Middleware since they have very robust data reports for both Jira and Github which is something we had trouble finding with other tools that tended to favor one over the other. With Middleware, we are able to get a more hollistic view of how well our teams are performing and identify gaps and bottlenecks that need to be addressed. Outside of the tool itself, the team has been absolutely amazing in helping us get everything setup and they are always available to answer our questions or try to figure out how we can solve a problem using their platform.

**What do you dislike about Middleware?**

No major dislikes to mention at the moment. We are working with them on possibly getting additional data points like Sprint over Sprint trends and defect ratio which will be a nice addition to what is already available.

**What problems is Middleware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We want to empower our teams to take ownership of their efficiency and productivity and Middleware is a fantastic tool at identifying what areas teams are excelling at and what areas could use some improvement. Having data to support process changes is always more beneficial and allows us to incrementally improve in a meaningful way instead of just trying new things for the sake of trying new things.

  ### 4. Game-Changer for managing Engineering teams

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Midhun B. | Senior Technical Program Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Middleware?**

Middleware HQ has been a game-changer for our sprint planning and overall team efficiency. One of the things I love most is how user-friendly the platform is, making it simple for everyone to get up to speed quickly. The visuals are fantastic, giving us a clear and intuitive overview of our workflows and progress. It’s definitely helped our team stay on track and boosted our productivity!

**What do you dislike about Middleware?**

While Middleware HQ has been great for improving our sprint planning, there are a few areas where it could be better. Sometimes the reporting features feel a bit limited, especially when trying to generate custom reports. Some of the things are already in their roadmap and we are excited to see those features go live soon!

**What problems is Middleware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Middleware has transformed the way we manage our projects by making processes more efficient and transparent. The tool's ease of use and strong visual elements have improved team collaboration and productivity.

  ### 5. Very useful and insight full tol every tech should use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Naresh S. | Associate Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2024

**What do you like best about Middleware?**

Working closely with the Middleware team has highlighted just how impactful MiddlewareHQ is for optimizing developer productivity. The platform offers a comprehensive suite of tools designed to provide clear visibility into key development metrics, making it easier to track progress, identify bottlenecks, and enhance team efficiency.

One of the most valuable aspects is the reports and trends section. This feature offers a deep dive into developer activity and productivity data by gather various metrics from github and jira, allowing teams to monitor code commits, review cycles, issue resolution times, and deployment frequencies in real time.

The Report and trends section is also effective for long-term analysis, offering insights into team performance over time. It helps in identifying patterns like productivity peaks or areas where delays tend to occur, which is essential for continuous improvement. The ability to visualize this data with interactive graphs and drill-down capabilities makes it even more actionable.

**What do you dislike about Middleware?**

Havin github and jira various metrics is very useful however team should also research on how they integrate with other tools to give even better analysis. Also they definetly need more AI capabilities out of the box

**What problems is Middleware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping us provide various analysis on developer productivity

  ### 6. Seamless Onboarding Experience

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abhishek B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2024

**What do you like best about Middleware?**

For engineering managers, middleware proves to be a game-changer. Positioned atop the existing tools utilized by their teams, there's no requirement for a disruptive overhaul. However, its functionality is remarkable. Providing real-time insights into team performance, it enables managers to preemptively address issues before they escalate into major setbacks.Amazing tool to manage engineering productivity. As an individual developer it helps you track coding metrics along with the progress throughout the sprints.

For instance, they can discern bottlenecks within their workflow, aiding in pinpointing areas for process enhancement and ensuring smoother operations. Additionally, it facilitates the mitigation of engineer burnout by ensuring equitable distribution of workloads across the team.

**What do you dislike about Middleware?**

There isn't much to dislike about Middleware; it's a rather straightforward tool. The only caveat is that it can feel overwhelming initially due to the abundance of data it presents. However, once one becomes accustomed to it, navigating through becomes effortless.

**What problems is Middleware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prevent engineer burnout
Improve developer performance
Helps me track my tasks for the sprints
Helps me see my growth as a developer

  ### 11. Developer productivity metrics made easy!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ishant D. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 27, 2024

**What do you like best about Middleware?**

Middleware introduced me to metrics that I never knew existed and helped me optimize for things that were previously going unnoticed. Being an early stage startup, growing rapidly, we break things on production frequently. Our "Speed to fix production" metric was all over the place, and this software helped us bring that metric down.

**What do you dislike about Middleware?**

The Open Source Version is not yet fully ready. But is promising.

**What problems is Middleware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Faster feature delivery times and maintaining product SLA

  ### 12. Middleware: Great tool for spotting bottlenecks & keeping my team happy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Apparel & Fashion | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 23, 2024

**What do you like best about Middleware?**

Middleware is like a central hub for everything engineering. It connects to the tools my team already uses, like Github and Jira, and gives me a clear picture of what's going on. No more jumping between different apps to see who's overloaded or where things are getting stuck.

The best part? It helps me see bottlenecks before they become problems. For example, I can easily identify if code reviews are taking too long or if certain engineers are getting swamped with work. This lets me step in and adjust workloads or find extra reviewers to keep things moving smoothly.

**What do you dislike about Middleware?**

Don't get me wrong, Middleware is a lifesaver. But it could be even better. Sometimes the interface feels a little clunky, and it takes a bit of time to get used to where everything is. Also, a few extra reporting features would be really helpful for keeping track of progress over time.

**What problems is Middleware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Middleware helps me solve two major headaches: missed deadlines and burnt-out engineers. By catching bottlenecks early on, I can ensure projects stay on track. Plus, by seeing who's overloaded, I can prevent my team from getting burned out. This keeps everyone happy and productive, which is a win-win for me and the company.

Overall, Middleware is a great tool for engineering managers. It helps me identify problems and keep my team running smoothly. With a few tweaks to the interface and reporting, it could be truly outstanding.
