**What do you like best about Microsoft Windows Server 2019 Base?**

What I like most about Windows Server 2019 Base is its stability and security features. It offers excellent integration with both on-premises and cloud environments, making it great for hybrid setups. The performance is solid, and it supports a range of applications, whether you’re working with legacy systems or modern cloud-based tools. Plus, its enhanced security features, like Shielded Virtual Machines and improved Windows Defender, give me peace of mind that our data is well protected.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Windows Server 2019 Base?**

One thing I’ve noticed is that while it’s stable, it can be a bit resource-heavy compared to some lightweight alternatives, especially when running multiple services. Additionally, certain configurations or updates can be time-consuming and require manual adjustments, which can sometimes slow things down. But overall, these are minor inconveniences compared to the reliability and features it offers.

Microsoft Windows Server 2019 Base solves several key challenges when it comes to managing AWS infrastructure. One of the main problems it addresses is the seamless integration between on-premises environments and AWS cloud services. This allows us to easily migrate workloads between local servers and AWS, ensuring consistency and minimal disruption. It also provides strong support for hybrid cloud configurations, enabling us to extend our on-premises network to AWS without compromising security or performance. The enhanced security features, like Windows Defender and Shielded Virtual Machines, are particularly beneficial for safeguarding our cloud-hosted applications. This integration, combined with its robust performance, allows us to scale efficiently while ensuring that both our on-premises and cloud environments are secure and well-managed.

**What do you like best about Microsoft Windows Server 2019 Base?**

Microsoft Windows Server 2019 is fabulous when it comes to the virtualization of its Dynamic Memory. Its Server Message Block (SMB) protocol actively enhances the network acceleration capacity of our servers. It utilizes few CPU cycles when we transfer application data, and it's extremely fast while providing responses to various user requests from our clients.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Windows Server 2019 Base?**

The only drawback that I notice is, the architecture of Microsoft Windows Server 2019 doesn't have a well-structured SDN. Due to this, when we migrate from one network contol plane to another, we face difficulties as it doesn't offer a practical centrally managed framework.

**What problems is Microsoft Windows Server 2019 Base solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We deploy our Amazon Fargate instances in which Windows Server 2019 plays a vital role. Since its maximum RRAS connection is unlimited, we can establish all VPN connections without any licensing limitations. It's compatible with our .NET framework 4.7.1, which eliminates our compiler dependency issues even if we miss some installations or if it gets corrupted by the wrong device drivers.

CONTROL
It's amazing the tools that they keep improving and help built into Window 2019. You are able to control the programs that are run plus additionally control what features and roles that the server should have. This is a must-have since you are able to control and adapt to the environment based on the proper needs.

ACCESSIBILITY

POWER
It's a strong and versatile as the components that you decide to use with it.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Windows Server 2019 Base?**

COST
I was not aware that the licensing was based on the cores of the computer. Up to 8 cores can be cost-effective, above that, it can get very expensive really quickly. Thus resulting I think a lot of internal problems on deciding if we want to upgrade our system as we know there will be added costs to this case.

That is the main issue I've encountered with it. The cost can get relatively high very quickly if you decide to get a server with more cores.

We use it as a power station for our team. They use it to be able to deeply program while still being able to run other tasks on their main computer. This can be crucial when we are trying to run multiple programs without having to upgrade our main system.
