"The undisputed industry standard for presentations, though it easily rewards bad design"

3.5/5

What do you like best about Microsoft PowerPoint?

The morph transition is an absolute game-changer; it lets me create incredibly smooth, cinematic animations between slides without needing complex video editing skills. I also rely heavily on the Slide Master feature, which allows me to bake corporate branding guidelines into a template so my team doesn't mess up fonts and alignments. The platform is robust, never crashes mid-presentation, and handles heavy high-res media flawlessly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft PowerPoint?

The AI-driven designer tool can be incredibly frustrating. It constantly suggests layout templates that look like tacky, outdated clipart from the early 2000s rather than clean, modern corporate designs. Collaborative co-authoring is also still a bit clunky compared to Google Slides; if two of us are tweaking the same slide in the desktop app, sync conflicts or minor formatting overrides happen way too often. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Microsoft PowerPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?

It solves the problem of turning complex, boring data into a compelling visual narrative for stakeholders. Whether I am pitching to a client or updating executives on quarterly metrics, PowerPoint gives me the precise design control needed to highlight what matters. It helps us pitch ideas professionally and ensures our external presentations always match our company's polished image. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Microsoft PowerPoint"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Microsoft PowerPoint?

PowerPoint offers a familiar, feature-rich interface with Ribbon-based navigation, extensive templates, themes, layouts, animations, and drag-and-drop editing.

Generally fast and reliable for everyday presentations, including large decks with images, charts, animations, and embedded media. Performance can vary with very complex presentations.

It offers exceptionally strong onboarding through Microsoft's documentation, tutorials, help center, community forums, and enterprise support options.

It supports an excellent integration with Word, Excel, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Outlook, Power BI, and other Microsoft 365 services.

Copilot and AI-powered features can generate presentations, summarize content, suggest layouts, rewrite text, and help create presentation content.

Strong ROI for organizations already using Microsoft 365 because PowerPoint is typically included in eligible plans. Standalone and premium Microsoft 365 plans are available for other users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft PowerPoint?

PowerPoint offers a huge set of formatting, animation, layout, and design features. New users may need time to understand and effectively use these capabilities.

Copilot can help generate presentations and content, but the output may still require substantial human editing for accuracy, storytelling, structure, and visual consistency.

Some advanced functionality may differ between the desktop, web, and mobile versions, which can affect the editing experience across devices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Microsoft PowerPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?

Microsoft PowerPoint has significantly boosted my productivity by combining its traditional presentation-building capabilities with AI-powered assistance through Microsoft Copilot. Instead of creating every slide manually, I use AI to accelerate content creation, structuring, refinement, and presentation preparation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

""PowerPoint Made Performance Presentations Easy and Professional""

4/5

What do you like best about Microsoft PowerPoint?

I have used PowerPoint as a supervisor and RTM to create performance presentations, training decks and KPI reports for my team and management. Few things I liked most:

- Ready made templates saved a lot of time when I had to put together a performance or training presentation quickly

- Charts and graphs helped me present agent wise and team wise KPI data in a visual way that was easy for everyone to understand

- I used animations and transitions during training sessions to make the content more engaging and easy to follow

- Pulling data and charts directly from Excel saved me from manually copying anything, everything linked automatically

- Exporting to PDF made sharing presentations with management very quick without any formatting issues

- Multiple team members could work on the same presentation at the same time which saved a lot of coordination effort Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft PowerPoint?

A couple of things that could be improved. Formatting sometimes broke when opening a presentation on a different device or an older version of PowerPoint, which was quite frustrating right before an important meeting or training session. Also some of the advanced design features had a bit of a learning curve for new users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Microsoft PowerPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?

Earlier presenting performance data and training content in a clear and professional way was time consuming. PowerPoint solved this by making it easy to put together well structured and visually appealing presentations quickly. Charts, templates and Excel integration saved a lot of manual effort and helped me communicate KPIs, team scores and training content to management and agents in a much more effective way. "PowerPoint Still Delivers Polished, Engaging Presentations with Ease"

5/5

What do you like best about Microsoft PowerPoint?

I’ve been using PowerPoint for years, and it’s still my go-to tool whenever I need to build a presentation. I like how easy it is to put together a clean, professional-looking deck without spending too much time tweaking the formatting. The built-in templates, icons, animations, and SmartArt are especially useful when I want to make my slides more engaging.

At work, I rely on it for sprint demos, QA updates, test strategy presentations, and knowledge-sharing sessions. Collaboration is straightforward too: sharing presentations through OneDrive or Microsoft 365 makes it much easier to review, collect feedback, and keep slides updated with my teammates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft PowerPoint?

The application offers a lot of features, but some of the more advanced options aren’t very easy to find unless you’ve used them before. Editing large presentations—especially those with high-resolution images or videos—can also become slow at times. Other than that, I haven’t run into any major issues while using it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Microsoft PowerPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?

PowerPoint helps me present information in a way that’s much easier for others to understand. Rather than explaining complex topics through long documents, I can structure the content into clear, visual slides with diagrams, screenshots, and concise key points.

As a QA Automation Engineer, I use it to share automation progress, sprint updates, testing approaches, defect summaries, and technical proposals. It lets me communicate ideas more clearly during meetings and makes it easier for both technical and non-technical stakeholders to follow along and stay aligned with the discussion. What do you like best about Microsoft PowerPoint?

It is very easy to use and as a content writer come time i need to present my content in form of presentaion at that time this MSPowerpoin help me very much, it make my word document in a very presentive and attractive way by animation and trascrip for my clients. I really like this for my work Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft PowerPoint?

PowerPoint’s features and tools can feel a bit complex to learn, especially if you’ve never used the software before. It can take some time to get a solid grasp of how to use everything effectively. If you’re aiming to create more complex presentations, the learning curve can be even steeper and may take longer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The Versatile Industry Standard for Presentations"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Microsoft PowerPoint?

What I like best about PowerPoint is its unmatched flexibility and feature depth. Because it has been the industry standard for decades, you can rely on it to handle virtually any presentation scenario, from simple, text-heavy slides to complex, highly-designed decks containing embedded video, animation, and intricate data visualizations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft PowerPoint?

What I dislike most is that the user interface has become cluttered and unintuitive over the years. While the Ribbon system organizes features, finding specific advanced tools can sometimes feel like a treasure hunt, and the overall aesthetic feels dated compared to modern software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Microsoft PowerPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?

PowerPoint provides a blank canvas that combines text, high-end graphics, embedded video, animation, and data-visualization tools (charts and SmartArt). It allows us to take dense reports or abstract strategies and sequence them into a visual narrative that an audience can follow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Makes Business Presentations Clear and Engaging"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Microsoft PowerPoint?

Microsoft PowerPoint has become a regular part of the way we present ideas because it helps transform detailed information into presentations that are much easier to follow. Instead of sharing large amounts of text we can use charts, icons, images and diagrams to explain concepts more clearly and keep discussions focused. One feature I find particularly useful is how easy it is to adjust a presentation as requirements change. Slides can be reordered, layouts can be updated and new content can be added without disrupting the overall flow. This makes it much easier to reuse existing presentations and tailor them for different meetings or audiences.

Presenter View and speaker notes have also been valuable during presentations, especially when covering larger topics. They help keep the presentation organized while allowing the speaker to stay focused on key points. Combined with the ability to export presentations into different formats, PowerPoint provides a practical way to create, deliver and share information efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft PowerPoint?

One area where Microsoft PowerPoint could improve is managing larger presentation decks. As presentations grow over time, making design updates across dozens of slides can become more time consuming than expected. Even small changes, such as adjusting fonts, colors or alignment, may require reviewing multiple slides to make sure everything remains consistent. I have also noticed that presentations containing many high resolution images, embedded media or detailed animations can feel less responsive while editing. The finished presentation generally runs well but working on larger files can occasionally slow down the editing process.

Overall PowerPoint provides a strong set of presentation features but improvements to slide wide formatting controls, performance with larger files and design management would make it even more efficient for creating and maintaining complex presentations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Microsoft PowerPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before we started relying on Microsoft PowerPoint it was often difficult to present detailed information in a way that was easy for everyone to understand. Long documents and spreadsheets worked well for reference but they were not ideal for explaining ideas during meetings or training sessions where information needed to be absorbed quickly. PowerPoint helped solve that by giving us a simple way to organize information visually. Using charts, diagrams, images and timelines makes presentations easier to follow while the flexibility to update slides or reuse existing presentations saves time when preparing for different audiences or recurring meetings.

The biggest benefit has been clearer communication. Presentations are more structured, discussions stay focused and people can understand key points much faster than when reviewing text heavy documents. This has improved the effectiveness of project updates, internal training and client presentations while reducing the time needed to explain complex topics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Makes Business Communication Clear and Effective"

4/5

What do you like best about Microsoft PowerPoint?

What I like most about Microsoft PowerPoint is how easy it is to create professional, visually appealing presentations, even without advanced design skills. It provides a wide range of templates, design suggestions, animations, and formatting tools that save time and help presentations look polished.

I also value how flexible it is for different needs, whether I’m creating training materials, business presentations, HR reports, onboarding sessions, or project updates. Its integration with other Microsoft Office applications makes it simple to bring in data, charts, and existing content, and the collaboration features let team members work on the same presentation efficiently. Overall, PowerPoint helps me communicate ideas clearly and present information in an engaging, well-organized way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft PowerPoint?

While Microsoft PowerPoint is a powerful presentation tool, there are still a few areas where it could improve. When a deck gets large and includes multiple images, videos, and animations, it can sometimes slow down and impact overall performance, especially when collaborating across different devices.

Another issue is that formatting can occasionally shift when a presentation is opened in different versions of PowerPoint or shared with people using other presentation platforms. This often means spending extra time making adjustments before a meeting or presentation.

I’d also like to see more modern templates, icons, and design assets included in the standard version, along with smarter AI-powered design recommendations to help create visually engaging slides faster. Stronger real-time collaboration and better ways to reduce file size without sacrificing quality would also improve the overall user experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Microsoft PowerPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?

Microsoft PowerPoint helps me address the challenge of presenting information in a clear, structured, and engaging way. Before I started using PowerPoint, sharing reports, training materials, or project updates often meant relying on lengthy documents or verbal explanations, which made it harder to keep people engaged and to communicate key points effectively.

With PowerPoint, I can turn complex information into visual presentations by using charts, graphics, images, and concise text. As an HR professional, I use it regularly for onboarding sessions, employee training, policy updates, performance review presentations, and management reports. As a result, my communication feels more organized, and it’s easier for employees and stakeholders to understand what matters most.

The biggest benefit for me is the time saved when creating professional-looking presentations. Features such as templates, design suggestions, and integration with Excel streamline the process and reduce the need for manual formatting. It has also helped improve audience engagement during meetings and training sessions, which supports better knowledge retention and more productive discussions. Overall, PowerPoint has become an essential tool for communicating ideas effectively and presenting information with greater impact. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Microsoft Power Point - The Best Product for Presentations in meeting"

5/5

What do you like best about Microsoft PowerPoint?

MS PowerPoint’s best feature, in my view, is the AI‑powered editing built right into PowerPoint—things like background removal, object adjustments, and quick content changes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft PowerPoint?

I didn’t find any feature in PowerPoint that isn’t useful or that I could dislike. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Microsoft PowerPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?

MS PowerPoint helps to create a strong presentation, whether I’m starting from scratch or using a template. I can add text, images, art, and videos, and PowerPoint Designer helps pull everything into a more professional-looking design. It also lets me add transitions, animations, and cinematic motion to make the slides feel more engaging.

I like how it supports clear organization of ideas and improves visual communication. The ready-to-use templates and themes make it easy to get started, and interactive elements such as animations, embedded videos, and clickable links help make presentations more dynamic and memorable. Real-time editing and cloud-based sharing are useful for collaboration, and the data visualization tools—charts, graphs, and SmartArt—make it easier to present information clearly. Overall, PowerPoint combines ease of use, multimedia capabilities, customization, and collaboration features in a way that works well for building professional presentations. "Straightforward Way to Create Clear, Polished Course Content"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Microsoft PowerPoint?

At LearningBrick, our instructors rely on Microsoft PowerPoint to create, organize, and refine course content for our classes. It helps them structure lessons smoothly, incorporate visuals, and keep training materials clear, consistent, and easy to follow. Overall, it’s a straightforward tool that lets them turn ideas into polished, ready-to-teach content. It helps us save time and provides hand outs for our students which support our learning sessions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft PowerPoint?

The main drawback with Microsoft PowerPoint is that it can feel a bit too static and overly focused on traditional presentations. Once the content is built, it isn’t always easy to turn it into something more interactive or collaborative without leaning on additional tools. We’ve also found that larger decks can become cumbersome to manage, especially when you’re trying to keep everything consistent across multiple instructors and maintain a unified look and structure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Microsoft PowerPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?

It helps us quickly structure and deliver training content in a clear, visual format. It solves the challenge of turning complex material into something well organized and easy for learners to follow. For our team, that means instructors can build courses faster, and our training remains consistent, polished, and professional across different sessions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
