**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Microsoft PowerPoint?**

Both its ubiquity and its breadth of available functions/tools. Also, it's ease of use.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft PowerPoint?**

In some cases, there's almost TOO MUCH variety/available tools...to the point of being distracting.

 ### 33. Basic presentation tool that you have to know

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nir L. | VP R&D, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2024

**What do you like best about Microsoft PowerPoint?**

Microsoft PowerPoint is the go-to tool for creating presentations on both Windows, Mac, and web platforms. It was the industry leader for many years and still has a lot of nice features. It is simpler to use than other tools and in the hands of a professional can produce outstanding results. Features such as templating, one-drive sharing, and permissions make it stand out from the competition. In the newer versions, you get a built-in translator and other language tools, presentation recording, and in-presentation drawing.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft PowerPoint?**

I always feel that PowerPoint is kind of boring, with everyone knowing how to use it and the default tools are always basic and not exciting. My least favorite thing is the inability to split long tables across multiple slides which is a very much needed feature. Also, embedding data from Excel is shaky at best and the outcome is not visually appealing. Again, you can make great presentations, but you have to invest heavily in learning the tool.

**What problems is Microsoft PowerPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am using PowerPoint since it's very early version to do several things. First and foremost, create presentations to share with team members, clients, and partners. I have also used it to create crud mockup of pages and systems when there was no better tool around, and in many cases used it to build flowcharts and system architecture diagrams.

 ### 34. All time favorite for presentations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dilip S. | Modern Workplace Delivery Lead, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2024

**What do you like best about Microsoft PowerPoint?**

The level of integrations and customizations that you can do within the powerpoint is really amazing.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft PowerPoint?**

Sharp learning curve is something not everyone would be comfortable with.

**What problems is Microsoft PowerPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

From long time, powerpoint has been the go to software for our company to create presentations that help convey messages across different business units in a short and crisp manner. There are tools coming in to the market like Miro which could be an alternative in future, but nothing beats powerpoint as of today.

 ### 35. Best Till date

Dislikes are not as such but yes, if we compare the pricing with other tools which are on base level requirement, It;s too costlyb and does come with whole package and not a individual platform

**What problems is Microsoft PowerPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Well the major problem that it soves it help me create a set defined segment of what to present to the clients and in what details. Rather that just sending a proposal, it also helps to define it like a story line.

 ### 41. MS PowerPoint Review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Namarata G. | Assistant Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2024

**What do you like best about Microsoft PowerPoint?**

MS PowerPoint is my to-go software for creating visually appealing presentations in a jiffy. Its interface is quite user friendly and is easy-to-navigate even for the beginners. It is easy to implement and comes with variety of festures like SmartArt, multimedia integration options, collaboration, cloud integration, design templates, animations, transition effects etc. We use it frequently to create business presentations. However, its support team is slow in responding.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft PowerPoint?**

MS PowerPoint is laced with extensive features which can be overwhelming to use for new users. MS Powerpoint is a part of MIcrosoft Office Suite which is a paid software, making MS Powerpoint an expensive option as compared to its alternatives. The pre-designed templates seem to lack creativity.

**What problems is Microsoft PowerPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have been using Microsoft Powerpoint to create our business presentations to be presented on our weekly company meetings and sales calls. We also use it to create infographics and marketing materials for advertising purposes.

 ### 42. Powerful Tool for Presentations

 ### 43. PowerPoint is a relatively inexpensive way to achieve several slide show applications

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vita M. | Media Minister, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft PowerPoint?**

PowerPoint is very versatile in that you can insert videos, images, text, etc. that all can be triggered with customizable transitions. I particularly appreciate the flexibility for how I wish videos to be triggered. It is also very helpful that PowerPoint will automatically push to connected additional screens when you select presentation view so that staff and volunteers do not need to navigate the computer settings.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft PowerPoint?**

The biggest issue is that in order to have a video run in a slide, the PowerPoint viewer window MUST be selected. This has proven to be an issue when we need to click into OBS or a different program to monitor or change something, causing the video to stop playing. There is not a way to change this currently.***Edited on 1/15/24 - This seems to have been fixed!!!! Not sure if it's a legitimate fix or if it's "glitching" in a beneficial way but seems to have been working for several weeks.

**What problems is Microsoft PowerPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use PowerPoint to display slides during our church service which include an ads video reel that we set up to repeat until ended as well as the actual service slides. The slides are also captured picture-in-picture (PIP) in OBS so that our livestream viewers can also view our slides.

Present to audience so they can be engaged

 ### 45. Powerful, Efficient & Timeless

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Avinash K. | Management Trainee, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 22, 2024

**What do you like best about Microsoft PowerPoint?**

It's that one tool that is timeless, and has been my go to for creating presentations since school. Although many tools have come up now such as Canva, Prezi, etc., Powerpoint stays ahead in my opinion with its ease of navigation and features which range across both basic and advanced, and help in providing the most professional look.
The Morph transition feature has been one of the biggest gamechangers in my opinion, and the things you can do with it and a bit of creativity are limitless.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft PowerPoint?**

Although Powerpoint is the best for me, it could become a bit complex for beginners and hence they opt for something like a Canva, which has a lot more ready made animations and funky/quirky fonts.
Also, an Ai suggestive feature could be integrated wherein it would suggest aesthetic color schemes for various objects according to the colors already being used in the slide.

**What problems is Microsoft PowerPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me create powerful, professional presentations that help create an impact for my audience. In fact I not only use it for presentations, but also often for designing posters, images, and even videos sometimes.

 ### 46. MS PowerPoint Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rishabh G. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2024

**What do you like best about Microsoft PowerPoint?**

Extremely user-friendly, a part of our Office Suite bundle, and the abundance of sleek templates accessible online or directly from us is fantastic.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft PowerPoint?**

Expensive on its own or as part of the Office bundle. Recent versions seem to have some issues, occasional freezing, but so far, there haven't been any cases of lost work.

**What problems is Microsoft PowerPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a significant advantage for me as it integrates effortlessly with other software such as TeamSlide, improving my presentations. Although it is somewhat more expensive, the seamless multi-user access on MS PowerPoint without any delay provides it with a competitive edge.

 ### 47. Essential and highly recommended!

**What do you dislike about Microsoft PowerPoint?**

Over the years, I haven't had any issues with PowerPoint and there is nothing to dislike. There are a ton of features and it is easy to use.

**What problems is Microsoft PowerPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is the perfect program to help me with projects, presentations, and visual aids.

 ### 48. Constantly evolving presentation software.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hany I. | Technology Trainer/Integration, Higher Education, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 31, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft PowerPoint?**

PowerPoint is a multi-purpose presentation software. It is accessible both on local devices and in the cloud and requires minimal training or practice for effective use. It continually introduces new features and supports various add-ins like Camtasia, third-party design tools, presentation themes, and AI-powered features. It is easy to implement, Integrate, and use.

PowerPoint provides options to convert and export the slides to various file formats and styles. Also, it has excellent user support forums, tutorials, and extensive user communities available in various languages.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft PowerPoint?**

While PowerPoint is a robust presentation solution, its constant evolution and introduction of new features can make it increasingly complex for new users.

**What problems is Microsoft PowerPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PowerPoint enables me to create and present professional slide decks both locally and online. It allows me to record my screen and slides to create video tutorials. Also, I use its design capabilities to create infographics and export them as PDF files. The PowerPoint auto-save option keeps my presentations safe on OneDrive against unexpected devices shutting down or powering off.

 ### 49. PowerPoint for Presentations and more

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mechelle N. | Director of Product Programs, Interim, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft PowerPoint?**

PowerPoint is compatible with the rest of the Microsoft suite. It's easy to transfer from Word or Excel to create PowerPoint slides and charts based on linked Excel tables that automatically update the presentation. It is compatible with Teams in presentation mode and provides the ability to be a virtual talking head in front of the slides during a presentation without needed a tool like OBS. PowerPoint can be used as an inexpensive image editor by creating a slide with several components, importing images, crop, recolor, remove background, etc. to use on your slide. Once the slide is complete it can easily be exported to jpg or png. Customer support is available from Microsoft through chat and you can get a callback with a M365 subscription. The OWA version of PowerPoint has a good set of basic features. There is no need to download and install PowerPoint desktop version when using the free OWA version.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft PowerPoint?**

PowerPoints that can take up a substantial amount of memory and take time to load. Slides with animations can be difficult to manage. There is a trade-off between using Morph transition (more slides to update in case of a change) or using Animations (more complex) to create animation-like behavior. The free on-the-web version of PowerPoint lacks in several features and to get them you must have a M365 subscription. You must have a Microsoft account to use PowerPoint.

**What problems is Microsoft PowerPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There is need to give engaging and convincing presentations, providing visual content to which the attendees can relate. In presentations, it is important to give the audience visual aids to focus on the content of the speaker. The presentation slides can also function as a take-away after the presentation. I also use PowerPoint to create videos from the presentation and images. The coaching feature makes it easy to rehearse timings of each slide. The design feature gives me suggestions to quickly format slides. The SharePoint / OneDrive compatibility allows easy ways to share presentations, or using the reuse slides feature, reuse parts of existing presentations shared by others. Security and compliance are built-in using SharePoint / OneDrive to keep company information private.

 ### 50. The best way to present

**What do you dislike about Microsoft PowerPoint?**

older program. There are newer programs with different features.

**What problems is Microsoft PowerPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PowerPoint has allowed information to be shared with other personnel, who may not be familiar with certain information. It doesn't take long to create a professional presentation to showcase your work, and educate your colleagues.
