"Easy Automation for Non-Coders, Effortless Weekly Reporting"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Power Automate?

Power Automate is really easy to use—you don’t need to know any code or programming at all. It’s not difficult to get started. I use it every week to help me export some reports. The way it works is that it has a built-in recorder; after I record all my steps, it will automatically run them according to the flow actions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Automate?

When your computer or network experiences delays, Power Automate may fail to recognize certain steps and display an error in red. That’s why it’s important to set the right wait time during the design process—not too short. Also, if the webpage changes or something pops up during automation, you’ll get the same error and need to reconfigure the flow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Customized Workflows That Make Our Day-to-Day Simpler and Smarter"
5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Power Automate?

The ability to craft customised workflows that deliver real business impact in our context and enable efficiency gains. It’s where we go to build the automations that make our day-to-day lives simpler and smarter. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Automate?

Sometimes referencing specific data sources can feel cumbersome, and it can be hard to understand which exact action you want to use, especially when some of them are so similar. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Microsoft Power Automate: A Powerful Boost for Workflow Automation"
4/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Power Automate?

What I like most about Microsoft Power Automate is its ability to simplify repetitive business processes and connect the tools teams already use every day. The platform offers a strong set of integrations, a user-friendly low-code interface, and seamless compatibility with the Microsoft ecosystem, which makes it very effective for building workflows such as approvals, notifications, file handling, and data synchronization. I also appreciate that it helps both technical and non-technical users automate tasks efficiently, reduce manual work, and improve process consistency without needing to build complex solutions from scratch. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Automate?

What I dislike most about Microsoft Power Automate is that although it is quite accessible for basic workflows, more complex automations can become difficult to manage, troubleshoot, and scale. Debugging is not always straightforward, error messages can lack clarity, and performance may occasionally feel inconsistent in more advanced scenarios. In addition, some useful capabilities require premium licensing, which can make the platform more expensive depending on the use case. As workflows grow with multiple branches, conditions, and integrations, the visual interface can also become harder to navigate and maintain over time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Power Automate: Simple, Reliable Workflow Automation"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Power Automate?

The best thing about Microsoft Power Automate is how easily it connects Microsoft Teams with Jira to automate our workflows. We use it to turn Teams messages into Jira tickets instantly and send automatic Jira updates back into Teams, which removes all the manual copy‑paste work and keeps everyone aligned in real time.

Its Jira connector and templates make setup straightforward, so we get reliable automation across our Microsoft 365 environment with minimal effort. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Automate?

Power Automate can feel overwhelming at times, its interface isn’t intuitive, especially if you’re not familiar with Microsoft’s ecosystem. We have noticed that some flows can become confusing to troubleshoot, and onboarding takes longer than expected for new users Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless Microsoft 365 Integration with Powerful Low-Code Automation"
4/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Power Automate?

The most impressive aspect of Power Automate is how seamlessly it integrates with the Microsoft 365 ecosystem. Being able to trigger flows directly from Teams, SharePoint, or Outlook—without having to deal with complex API keys—saves a huge amount of time.

On the low-code side, it does a great job of bridging the gap between casual users and developers. The drag-and-drop interface makes it easy to build fairly complex logic, including conditional branching and loops, without writing a single line of code.

The pre-built templates are another major advantage. With a library of thousands of options, you rarely have to start from scratch for common tasks like saving email attachments to OneDrive or setting up approval workflows.

Finally, AI Builder and RPA add a lot of value. The inclusion of Desktop flows (RPA) lets you automate legacy software that doesn’t have an API, which makes it feel like a truly all-in-one automation tool for the modern workplace. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Automate?

My biggest frustration is the steep learning curve once you move beyond basic tasks. Even though it’s marketed as "low-code," more advanced data manipulation often ends up requiring knowledge of WDL (Workflow Definition Language) or the ability to write complex expressions, which feels pretty unintuitive for non-technical users.

Licensing is another major pain point. Microsoft’s licensing tiers can be confusing and expensive, and it’s a real roadblock to discover halfway through a project that a specific "Premium" connector requires a significantly higher monthly per-user fee.

Debugging can be difficult as well. Troubleshooting a failed flow is tedious: error messages are often cryptic, and digging through the "Run History" to pinpoint the exact point of failure—especially in a large, nested loop—can take a lot of time.

Finally, UI performance can be frustrating. The web-based designer can get quite sluggish when you’re building very long or complex flows, which sometimes leads to browser freezes and slow save times. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Awesome RPA Tool"
5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Power Automate?

It saves a lot of manual effort, like copy-paste work, email follow-ups, and moving files around. It also helps standardize processes so everyone follows the same workflow. And it’s accessible: you can start simple and gradually build more complex automations as you go. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Automate?

Sometimes the flow becomes slow when there are a lot of actions. The daily limit for external connections should be increased for Excel and other connectors, and the HTTP request should be non-premium. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Empowers Non-Tech Users, But Needs a Smoother UI"
5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Power Automate?

I like that Microsoft Power Automate enables non-technical people to build real solutions without needing a developer. This tool makes me feel more productive, allowing me to work smart rather than hard. I appreciate being able to understand and address my own problems since I know my workflow better than anyone else, which also helps save money as every automation significantly reduces costs. The initial setup was very easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Automate?

The UI or UX can be confusing for new users, the newer interface has limited actions, and sometimes I have to go back to the old interface to find some features. Error codes lack depth, making debugging difficult, so I have to think carefully about how to test and monitor flows after I create or build them. While triggering complex workflows, I experience latency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlines Manual Tasks with Microsoft Compatibility"
4/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Power Automate?

I like Microsoft Power Automate for its unique structure and its compatibility with all Microsoft apps. It really helps in connecting to various files like Excel, Word, and databases such as Access and Azure, which is quite handy for my tasks. I also find it helps reduce my manual work significantly, especially with setting up auto-reply emails and managing batch jobs for data processing and transformation. Once configured, it doesn't really give me any errors, which is a relief. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Automate?

I find the configuration in Microsoft Power Automate a bit hard to understand and do. At first, I didn’t know what the steps were and what each step meant. The AI could be improved to understand tasks better than it currently does. The initial setup was a little bit difficult, but once it's configured, it didn’t give any errors. I like using Microsoft Power Automate to automate workflows between applications. It helps reduce manual tasks and improves efficiency, especially when working with Microsoft tools. I find that it integrates well with Microsoft applications like Outlook and Teams, allowing me to automate workflows without complex coding. The connectors are particularly useful as they make it easy to connect different applications and trigger automated tasks, like sending notifications or updating data when an email arrives. Overall, the ease of starting with the templates and connectors is great, and it was very easy to set up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Automates Workflows, But Needs UI Improvements"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Power Automate?

I use Microsoft Power Automate mostly to keep boring, repetitive work around emails and other Microsoft ecosystem apps like Outlook and Excel streamlined. It helps to route emails and attachments like PDFs, renaming them and dropping them into OneDrive. I really appreciate how the excellent dashboard and Excel report automation allow me to pull data from portals, build or refresh pivot tables, and produce nicely formatted reports. It reduces the manual course and potential mistakes, reducing my brain load for reporting. Additionally, it's helpful in setting up rules for automatically transferring data to places like Google Drive, which organizes everything neatly and reduces human error and delay. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Automate?

Debugging issues and vague error messages in Microsoft Power Automate make it confusing, especially for nontechnical users. The UI seems sluggish and glitchy compared to other automation tools like Zapier, which has a better interface. When a flow fails, the error messages are not clear, and it's hard to navigate through more than 10 actions, making it all a bit overwhelming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
