If I were to mention one drawback, it would be that the initial setup does require some technical know-how. You can just drop a message to someone he/she can see the notification and can reply to it, that's all. No gimmicks whatsoever. It's a plain vanilla tool, not sure if it can be integrated with some other tool currently back in my days, we could not. **What do you dislike about Lotus Notes to Exchange Server?** I believe its onboarding was really difficult you have to use a key generated by the system and if you lost that one you either have to search the entire mailbox to get the key or go back to the administrator to generate a new key which can take a significant amount of time and tests your patience. Honestly, I'd never want to go back to using Notes. **What problems is Lotus Notes to Exchange Server solving and how is that benefiting you?** Back in the days when we didn't have a lot of enterprise-level IM tools, Notes was one of the best options for colleagues to communicate with peers. When we were getting started with employees getting a laptop instead of a desktop in the office and sometimes wanting to work remotely, Notes was the saviour for them to communicate and exchange ideas and work progress, etc. ### 3. Even though it is old-school and has a bad reputation, it has many features including database storage, mail, and chat. **What do you dislike about Lotus Notes to Exchange Server?** The interface is very outdated, so there can be a bit of a learning curve if you are used to more modern technology. There are also definitely some quirks to the databases. For example, new entries cannot be accessed for 20 min by other users. **What problems is Lotus Notes to Exchange Server solving and how is that benefiting you?** We were initially using Lotus notes for chat, email, and several databases.
