After a benchmark analysis among several providers, we agreed that Gazelle was the more complete and user friendly. **What do you dislike about Lightcast Gazelle?** Although very well made, the algorithm has its limits, thus sometimes the Gscore is not updated. When working in Gazelle I have come across NAICS codes and G-scores I know are not correct, so it doesn't build trust. This is a very comprehensive software platform that had more data points and functionality for business intelligence that I have seen. Whats more impressive than that is how easy the software is to use. Typically these software programs with high functionality are very complex to use and have a bad UX. 90% of the software is self explanatory and there were only a few advanced reporting and search features that I hadn't already figured out by our software training day with a Gazelle trainer. **What do you dislike about Lightcast Gazelle?** I do have a recommendation but this is VERY granular and into the fine print of the software. Such effort was put into the mapping function of the platform to search for businesses by geographic location. I am a US customer, so the information is drilled down to the County level filtering. However, in that master list of businesses within the county you can sort the list by ALPHA but you cannot isolate them by CITY! It was frustrating. I mean its 99.9% there! Just add a final sort layer once your in the county to sort by city. That is important to us local gov't people, to be able to look at the business info of those located within our city. You can still see the list, but there is also no "jump to" page so I had to click my way through 75 pages to get to the list that sorted them by city. Its SOOOO close. Like I said the info is there, just need a final layer to sort with. **Recommendations to others considering Lightcast Gazelle:** USE IT. Software's are only as good as the time you put into them. Honestly this one is so easy o use it should not be an issue. **What problems is Lightcast Gazelle solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are getting better prospect information by target industry than we ever had before. That was a major hurdle for us. The trade show company lists are very helpful as well as it has been a challenge to get connected with companies that are attending the trade shows without using an outside consultant agency. The amount of effort that has gone into gathering corporate communication information is very helpful There are more contact with contact information listed per company that I have ever seen. Highly useful when you are trying to get in contact with a prospect. ### 24. When a database is more than just a series of spreadsheets, I am a fan. **What do you dislike about Lightcast Gazelle?** The contact information isn't the most reliable when you try to reach out to specific companies. It was explained to me that this is because of onerous restrictions placed on web based databases like Gazelle in places like Europe. Whatever the reason, we use the system to find companies who might invest in new projects and create new jobs.
