I like that Legal Tracker organizes all of our legal invoices in one place, making it easy to review and approve them. It also provides access to other departments, like finance, so they can access invoices and manage expenses before they're paid. Additionally, it tracks the hourly rates of attorneys, giving us transparency into the rates we're being charged. The reporting function in Legal Tracker doesn't work well for me. It's not intuitive and feels cumbersome. Building my own reports is hard and takes a long time, and I often end up not being successful. The program is very intuitive and geared towards the helping the corporate company get the best value for the work the law firm is providing. It is hard to reach customer service. When you have a difficult issue communicating back and forth via email is difficult. Also, when getting one on one trainings they are traditionally set up for just 30 minutes. Its really hard to get things accomplished that quickly over teams. Some things can be difficult to figure out in the reporting area. I wish the report generator wasn't as cumbersome as it can be when creating reports from scratch. I like that the process with Legal Tracker is easy and convenient. It really decreases the amount of time I spend manually tracking legal invoices. Some of the fields (for example, “Substantive law”) aren’t very clear, and when I’m creating a matter I don’t always know exactly what I’m supposed to enter in those sections. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I use Thomson Reuters Legal Tracker mostly for legal research and regulatory monitoring. I like how it addresses the sheer volume of regulatory updates that I need to go through daily. What I like most is the regulatory update notifications it provides. The granularity of the notifications also stands out, offering options to narrow it down by practice area and jurisdiction. The ability to track spend and stay on budget. Specific matters can be created with budgets and approved rates, allowing for total transparency between the business and law firm. The new AI feature also alerts duplicative line items to allow for quick and easy review and with the addition of Outside Counsel Guideline alerts, reviewing invoices can be a quick and painless task, especially when review should be performed at least weekly. I recently connected Legal Tracker with our IP docketing software and now new matters are created seamlessly, nightly and I no longer have to take time out of my day.
