I like the ease of upgrades with Lansweeper; they’ve made it quite easy to upgrade the systems with just one button, which means I don't have to worry about it. I also appreciate the ability to integrate it with all devices and track all devices on my domain. The initial setup was very easy with no issues encountered. Their support is amazing—whenever I contact them, they’re very quick to help with any issue, although I haven’t had any issues myself.

The ability to operate with cloud capability is still somewhat cumbersome and could use some improvement.

When trying to delete a user that was on the helpdesk, you have to assign those calls to someone else.

**What problems is Lansweeper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows me to scan the whole of the network, and I can add credentials to each subnet I add, for switches, and other pieces of network equipment.

  ### 10. Lansweeper - All Inventory in one Hand

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** S S. | Senior Executive, Automotive, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 07, 2015

**What do you like best about Lansweeper?**

Lansweeper first is agent less. Unlike other products where we have to deploy agents in large scale lansweeper doesn't require any agents. This is very much user friendly and configuration us very much easy.

**What do you dislike about Lansweeper?**

Apart from asset inventory solution it can have other tools like patch management, other windows tasks also can be handled. it can have options like software metering.Latency of remote desktop needs to be improved

**Recommendations to others considering Lansweeper:**

Users who are going for asset inventory as a basic step they can use lansweeper. it will be great tool and hassle free it will tell you all the basic requirements. We can take remote desktop of users also so we can easily troubleshoot issues also

Inventory and license c0ompliance issues iam solving using this product

Sometimes overwhelming amount of info but makes for good troubleshooting

  ### 12. An easy way to have an inventory of assets.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luis Y. | Responsable IT, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 28, 2024

**What do you like best about Lansweeper?**

In a network of more than 2000 assets, it is a great way to have everything inventoried.

**What do you dislike about Lansweeper?**

When it comes to expanding licenses, the processing is a bit slow.

**What problems is Lansweeper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lansweeper has allowed us to forget about Excel, about inventories, it does everything for us. If you do a fine configuration, it gives you a very clear network diagram.

  ### 13. Great tool with great price but concerns of data sovereignty on cloud instance

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2023

**What do you like best about Lansweeper?**

Lansweeper's on-prem instance has strong scanning and data rationalization capability. Its pricing is quite cheap comparing to other new or major IT asset management tools. But the report function in its on-prem instance is based on SQL query. If the built-in reports cannot meet the requirement, users need understand the database tables to create reports themselves which is not easy for everyone if has no knowledge about how database works or links together.
Its newly cloud instance provides much better data analysis and asset topology however it requires to send data to AWS Ireland data centre which causes concerns of data sovereignty issue.
It has very attractive pricing on the market.
Its agentless scanning capability is quite strong to capture all necessary information.
Its cloud instance has much modern interface and data analysis features.

**What do you dislike about Lansweeper?**

As today, its cloud instance requires sending data to AWS Ireland data centre which causes data sovereignty issue.
Lansweeper only develop new capabilities on its cloud instance while no major improvement on its on-prem instance.
Its reporting function in the on-prem instance is quite complex and require knowledge about database relationship and SQL query.
Its support is very limited and only provide many knowledge base articles and introduction video online.

**What problems is Lansweeper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Lansweeper to scan our network to provide a live time inventory of asset. Its data then used to build up a CMDB in our ITSM tool.

  ### 14. Poor support

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 26, 2023

**What do you like best about Lansweeper?**

When it works, it works well. However, when it does not work, support is impossible to work with. There's no phone number, only an email address that is not regularly monitored or replied to.

**What do you dislike about Lansweeper?**

Support is non-existent. Support relies on email contact which is then summarily ignored. In order to solve a technical issue in any amount of time you need to call and speak to a sales rep - they're the only ones who seem to be able to fix things. Their tech support is a joke.

**What problems is Lansweeper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's creating more problems than solving because getting Lansweeper to work and link to the cloud site is an excercise in frustration especially given the complete lack of product support even for paying customers.

  ### 15. The is one of the best assist tracker system I ever used

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hilton d. | IT Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Lansweeper?**

The way you can drill down from the user profile to the assist and see on which network he/her is connected

**What do you dislike about Lansweeper?**

That it does not have a live monitor of the computer assist for example CPU and Memory usage

**What problems is Lansweeper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it is helping as our helpdesk ticket system and we can easily get reports

  ### 16. Lansweeper, IT right arm

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cristhian M. | IT Assistant, Logistics and Supply Chain, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2022

**What do you like best about Lansweeper?**

I like how easy it is to search and management the devices and how much information the platform can get from its users, hardware details and software versions. Everything is there.

**What do you dislike about Lansweeper?**

I wouldn't say I like the delay from the machines' report; sometimes the information takes almost 3 hours, which harms alot the productivity of the IT team, and sometimes we need to reinstall the software.

**What problems is Lansweeper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lansweeper helped us find passive devices to communicate with the collaborator and ask why they don't use the máchine. It enabled us to see some outdated software and how chrome took eight zero-day incidents this year. We need to keep an eye open, and Lansweeper will help us with that.

  ### 17. Lansweeper the most complete inventory for IT professionals.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lidiane M. | Information Technology Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2022

**What do you like best about Lansweeper?**

What attracts me most about Lansweeper are the many features it has available for use by IT professionals.
With this we have the possibility to learn more about possible functions that we did not have the opportunity to know, and also to bring greater security to the company and end user.

**What do you dislike about Lansweeper?**

The way roles are distributed on the admin panel.
Because Lansweeper groups so many features into a single inventory, it leaves something to be desired in its organization within the platform, confusing the administrator who will use the panel, I believe that Lansweeper needs to apply more intuitiveness to the user.

**What problems is Lansweeper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The possibility of adding comments to notebooks and PCs, where we archive the entire history of the machine, such as maintenance done, RAM memory upgrades and downgrades, and the last user who used it. Group creation, in it we add the machines that are vacant, available for sending and use.

  ### 18. Great asset management software

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rish D. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2023

**What do you like best about Lansweeper?**

This tool makes gathering a list of up to date asset information easy.

**What do you dislike about Lansweeper?**

The interface can use a bit of an update and controls are not exactly intuitive.

**What problems is Lansweeper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's helping us keep track of all our assets.

  ### 19. Great Inventory and Helpdesk Features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marc M. | Information Technology & Hosting Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2023

**What do you like best about Lansweeper?**

Captures a lot of information, easy to configure and get running.

**What do you dislike about Lansweeper?**

Not suitable for smaller deployments that exceed the free allotment, 100 assets free, the next increment is 2000.

**What problems is Lansweeper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scanning and cataloging assets, also tracks issues related to scanned assets.

  ### 20. Super inventory taker

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adriane M. | Analista de Suporte, Logistics and Supply Chain, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 01, 2022

**What do you like best about Lansweeper?**

Among many uses, Lansweeper allows the insertion and storage of comments on hosts. This helps us a lot in our daily work.

**What do you dislike about Lansweeper?**

Nothing to declare, so far the tool only surprises

**What problems is Lansweeper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can filter the machines that are not being used, with a last seen of five days, for example.

  ### 21. The faster inventory

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** luis w. | IT Analist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2022

**What do you like best about Lansweeper?**

The console graphics and analytics are the best

**What do you dislike about Lansweeper?**

Its not that easy to find content about lansweeper on the web

**What problems is Lansweeper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solve all inventory problems, and we can see what machines are not reporting in our web

  ### 22. Used to collect infrastructure details

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shubham J. | IT Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Lansweeper?**

Easy to use collect vast amount of information

**What do you dislike about Lansweeper?**

Require admin level privileges to collect information which leads security concerns.

**What problems is Lansweeper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping to manage assets in large organization.

  ### 23. Lansweeper

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** VINIT L. | IT Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 18, 2022

**What do you like best about Lansweeper?**

an amazing tool to use, we are using Lansweeper version 9.2.10.1 , a nice tool for software deployment and inventory tracking too, can review and validate what software deploys on the machine remotely and in case needed to do uninstall and install of software too.

**What do you dislike about Lansweeper?**

nothing so far looks good but yes when compare with deployment tool like SCCM and Landesk this may be ok ok.

**What problems is Lansweeper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

well, it's good to have such a tool for a small enterprise environment where you can manage the local workstation, server and login information too via this tool.

  ### 24. Great product and very useful Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Packaging and Containers | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 28, 2021

**What do you like best about Lansweeper?**

The program, whether it be cloud or on-prem, is straightforward to use and pushes the agent out to retrieve up-to-date information from each workstation in real-time or on schedule. The update process is also easy, it will notifiy and provide link.

**What do you dislike about Lansweeper?**

The Cache of old information can be a hassle to clear sometimes.

**Recommendations to others considering Lansweeper:**

Use it. The program has helped us stay on top of all workstations as Checks and Balances for our company—especially when tracking exploited patches.

**What problems is Lansweeper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In conjunction with other software, we monitor updates/Software versions, and old software installs on all workstations to trigger rolling updates or uninstalls where necessary.

  ### 25. Lansweeper is easy to use but sometimes it is hard to keep it up to date when users are away

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Media Production | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 31, 2021

**What do you like best about Lansweeper?**

It is a powerful system to automatically retrieve lots of information about a device. Also it allows customizable fields to capture even more e.g. Purchase order number

**What do you dislike about Lansweeper?**

While it works well when everyone is in the office, when now people are away, it is a challenge to keep the information up-to-date, as the server is an internal server. Also sometimes it simply cannot get the last user of a machine to the more accurate ones - can find from the user as his last machine, but from machine cannot find any users as last user.

**What problems is Lansweeper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

IT PC Inventory. We have tried to use it as our sole inventory system to replace the Google Sheet that we used to be using which is very labour intensive. Also it can capture the end of warranty information directly from the vendor's website which is very handy.

  ### 26. Lansweeper is #1 for ITAM

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Northwest S. | Manufacturer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 14, 2021

**What do you like best about Lansweeper?**

Automated inventory scanning and detection of new devices.

**What do you dislike about Lansweeper?**

A bit daunting at first glance. Some of the dashboards can't be modified, but that is offset by the customization that can be done with your own dashboard designs.

**What problems is Lansweeper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Asset detection and management. Tracking service tickets by asset or buildings. Purchase tracking with my custom ticket creation. Linking assets together in multiple ways, like switches to servers/workstations/devices, users to assets, assets to buildings and other ways I haven't had the time to investigate.

  ### 27. Lamsweeper - Great for asset management and overall health of your environment

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2021

**What do you like best about Lansweeper?**

I've been using Lansweeper for years and have found it to be invaluable in tracking assets (detailed), network environment, software inventory, software deployment and reporting. It is constantly scanning your network with very little "hit" and is updated frequently. It's an all-in-one solution with a ton of features.

**What do you dislike about Lansweeper?**

I don't like that the lsremote functionality was deprecated, and even before that it was a hit and miss when trying to connect remotely to machines. We have another solution in place for remote connections, but I feel like they could have done a better job with that.

**What problems is Lansweeper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The reporting functionality is great. You can report on the overall health of your environment (security, AV, etc.), as well as the software installed, AD, networks, physical machines - there are literally hundreds of different kinds of reports that come with it, and you can customize your own reports, too. It has helped us to track down computers, figure out software deployments, hardware deployments, etc.

  ### 28. Lasweeper

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ralph D. | MPC!, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 01, 2021

**What do you like best about Lansweeper?**

Ability to create reports. The ability to get devices from offsite locations with the proxy through the cloud

**What do you dislike about Lansweeper?**

I would love more integrations with other products like service now. Inability to quickly select a device and have it not added any longer

**Recommendations to others considering Lansweeper:**

Do small amount of devives at a time

**What problems is Lansweeper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Inventory and discovery of devices on the network.

  ### 29. Lansweeper - acceptable & okay for smaller organizations

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Lansweeper?**

Software inventory and ability to quickly set up reports.

**What do you dislike about Lansweeper?**

This tool is pretty awful for remote connection (supporting our remote end-users) & there is no support for Apple / Mac. The user interface needs improvement & Lansweeper needs to think bigger so they can compete with the likes of Ivanti, etc.

**What problems is Lansweeper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have been able to see how many machines are remaining on a certain software (possibly outdated or unsupported software). We can't have machines on outdated or unsupported software -- as it poses a risk to our entity.

  ### 30. Great Free Helpdesk Tool & Asset Management

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rommel L. | Sr IT Suppport, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2021

**What do you like best about Lansweeper?**

Well for a year of using the Lansweeper is like a combination of all things in one package such as IT Ticketing system, Asset, and Application Monitoring, Data Reporting for the whole organization.

If you`re fresh in the IT field you will see this as a great app for a one-stop-shop but if you`re in the IT field and saw a lot of other vendors you will see this as chaotic app. As there is a lot of tabs and function everwhere in the web panel.

But I would still recommend this application for those looking for free tools for ticketing with Asset management.

**What do you dislike about Lansweeper?**

Here few I don`t like about this tool.

- Ticket now receiving sometimes.
- Ticket can`t backtrack as there is plenty of tickets that will be shown that will fit the criteria that you set.
- Email recipients sometimes can`t see the response from the ticket as it considers as a Spam email or nothing at all.
- Lock of supports and documentation when there is an issue like solve it by yourself or just leave it as to be.

**Recommendations to others considering Lansweeper:**

More documentations and forum support

**What problems is Lansweeper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Free IT Ticketing system, Asset, and Application Monitoring, Data Reporting

**What do you like best about Lansweeper?**

I love how simple and intuitive the Lansweeper UI is. The application is very easy to understand and learn. I love that Lansweeper can pull in warranty data for your machines also.

So far I haven't found a feature that I dislike.

**What problems is Lansweeper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Lansweeper my goal is to discover assets in my organization's network without paying huge sums of money.

  ### 34. Great Tool for up to date asset management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Scott D. | Network and System Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Lansweeper?**

Ease of Install and mostly hand-off once installed. I do like how you can adjust the timing of the scanning by location so some of our smaller locations that don't have many changes can be scanned less frequently while scanning more at our busier locations. Dashboard customization is good. The ability to create dynamic asset groups is a great function as well. DO like the ability to get toner levels from printers.

**What do you dislike about Lansweeper?**

GUI could be a little cleaner, seems to be a lot of info crammed into one space. Reports are nice and there are plenty to use, but creating custom reports requires some SQL query knowledge. Which is fine you have some, but for someone with little or no SQL knowledge may be cumbersome. Having all the demo data in there was a bit confusing and it would let you remove it, however I found online that there is a button to remove all demo data and it did what i wanted, just wish it was a little more obvious. Like maybe when we applied a real license it tells you to do that.

**Recommendations to others considering Lansweeper:**

If looking for an all in one asset management package and not pay an astronomical price. This is the one to look at. I looked a few others and between the cost of them, the complexity of setting up the backend and the need to install agents on the assets, they all turn me off. I found this and after the initial setup of a just a few minutes, i was ready to go. Had a few assets to edit, but overall it picked up everything properly. For those looking at this, I would strongly recommend using the full trial period to get it all setup how you want it and make sure it works for your needs. Once you do so and like what you see, the transition from trial to full version is painless and simple. Nothing needs to be redone and it all continues just as you set it up in trial mode seamlessly. It was great to not have to do any work i did customizing over again. Overall this product was exactly what fit our needs at this particular time.

**What problems is Lansweeper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Just having an up to date list of our assets is key, no more updating excel sheets. Even some of the switch port mapping functions for switches was a great thing to have. I know there is more robust tools out there for this, but it was nice having it in one place. We currently use another program for our helpdesk tickets, but looking at the function in Lansweeper, we could move to that, again to keep it all in one place. This is something we will try out and see if it works for us.

  ### 35. Complete solution into a single product!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mario L. | Technicien Informatique, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 20, 2017

**What do you like best about Lansweeper?**

Information found by Lansweeper is of great value, using SNMP, WMI, SSH, etc.
Assets are clear to read and you easily find what you search for!

Their new Helpdesk version is great, a bunch of great features and way more to come in each update and new major versions to come. The interface is fantastic for both users and technicians.
You get a clear history of public/private messages sent to the customer/technicians (notes).

Price is great, it used to be cheaper when they started but I think it's worth it with all the features and stability of their product.
Their support team is just great, I havn't found such a quick and good support anywhere else. They listen to their customers and do answer them in a short time (mostly in 24-48 hours).

Multi-language for Helpdesk (translation work is well done!)

If you're looking for a great built-in Knowledge Base tool, Lansweeper has it.
Easy to use for both users and technicians, fully integrated into the Helpdesk portion of the software.

**What do you dislike about Lansweeper?**

Creating a form (ticket type) isn't that easy sometimes depending on the way you would like to build it. You may have to find a different way to create it as you can't reuse a custom field twice or more in the same ticket type.
The system may act slow on a regular server.
No multi-language support for Lansweeper itself, the Helpdesk portion does have it.
Lack of auto-processing features for tasks to be completed by the technicians, for example one of their competitors (from a Quebec/Canadian company) has an ITSM which offers way more advanced features.

**Recommendations to others considering Lansweeper:**

Just go for it. You won't regret it.
Try the demo if you're not convinced, you'll be sooner than you might think!

**What problems is Lansweeper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

:: Budgeting / Reporting ::
Lansweeper greatly improves the time to get a budget done when it comes to how many PCs must be replaced, how many servers or switches should be replaced, how many licenses needs to be upgraded next year. Lansweeper reports are pretty handy with pre-built and custom SQL reports.

:: Software Deployment ::
We often have to install a specific software here and there depending on the role of the employee and sometimes implementing a new solution in the enterprise, such as a security software for example, we can rely on Lansweeper for such deployments.

  ### 36. Lansweeper Network Inventory Software and IT Asset Management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David S. | Senior IT Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2020

**What do you like best about Lansweeper?**

It has an incredible ability to collect everything and report on everything detail of the network environment with very little management overhead

**What do you dislike about Lansweeper?**

There is nothing I can say that I dislike about lansweeper. It does everything as expect very well

**Recommendations to others considering Lansweeper:**

If your need it to get very detailed collections about your IT and user computer environment, this software is the best out of the box and very customizable. You can search for anything and if there is a correlation with any device, it will inform you

**What problems is Lansweeper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a very simple way to track assets by variables, such as userid and/or computer name but this does 1000x more

  ### 37. Lansweeper review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2020

**What do you like best about Lansweeper?**

The product is easy to install and manage. There are enough custom reports that can you started reporting on your respective assets. It is agent-less which removes the need to first install software.

**What do you dislike about Lansweeper?**

There is no SIEM integration which would have been useful for our current environment.

**Recommendations to others considering Lansweeper:**

Lansweeper is more that your usual asset management solution. It is currently being used by the Desktop Support, Microsoft Support, Information Security as well as certain finance team members in the organization. Extremely useful tool. They trial should speak for itself.

**What problems is Lansweeper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Detailed view of all our assets and software. This allows us to plan for upgrades and also allows to clean-up old and out-dates hardware and software. Windows patching is made easy as we can pull a report of all systems requiring patches. We also use Lansweeper is part of any forensic investigations.

  ### 38. Network stock of computers and equipment with LanSweeper

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carlos S. | IT Consultant, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2019

**What do you like best about Lansweeper?**

With LanSweeper, the network is continuously evaluated while specific information is supplied. It allows you to sort resources by using unique categories and classes. Also, almost any kind report you could think of can be produced by LandSweeper, which makes it very useful in many cases. Also, it's able to link with Dell, if you work with Dell devices.

**What do you dislike about Lansweeper?**

The reporting unit is too necessary, this will be beneficial when user is familiar with related databases, but when he's not, it will be hard to create reports later, as there is not a scheduled process to follow. Also, if you uninstall the resource from the process it is deleted from the list, which may be a real problem if you need to revert this

**Recommendations to others considering Lansweeper:**

LanSweeper is simple to install and to do network scanning, multi-protocol functionality, multi-device compatibility and connections to computer. I would recommend it for business with less than 250 devices. However, LanSweeper may not be appropriate in those cases where significant customization is needed, such as collecting design fields or information of equipment that is not registered.

**What problems is Lansweeper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LanSweeper is being used in our company primarily for network stock of computers and equipment. We were looking for a tool to show data from multiple perspectives, because in several houses we have various IT teams supporting specific VLANs, and that's what we got with this tool. When anyone signs in a machine, we receive an alert from LanSweeper.

  ### 39. Great software and is improving

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luis L. | Network administrator , Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2019

**What do you like best about Lansweeper?**

There is a great amount of information provided on assets. Software installed, Switch port the device is on. Event logs. Lot and lots of information. Reports are great to be able to comply with licensing usage and to audit software and devices throughout your network

**What do you dislike about Lansweeper?**

Have to pay if extra for the ticketing and if you have a large amount of assets.

**What problems is Lansweeper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Compliance with software and licensing. Network monitoring and tracking changes on the computers/servers

  ### 40. Lansweeper is great for inventory

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Utilities | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 02, 2019

**What do you like best about Lansweeper?**

Scans the network without an agent, able to see in-depth detail about each asset it has scanned, excellent search features, and has some customization options. Dashboard displays helpful alerts. The reporting feature is also robust.

**What do you dislike about Lansweeper?**

There is nothing I dislike about this product.

**What problems is Lansweeper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I needed something that performed a constant inventory of assets that were on the network that was reliable and accurate. This fits the bill and does much more than I expected. Well worth the money.

  ### 41. Excellent asset reporting and discovery tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 10, 2019

**What do you like best about Lansweeper?**

The fact you do not need a workstation agent, you just pass it credentials, means it's not intrusive. The level of detail it gives you exceeds what we've got from far more expensive tools. You get way more details than perhaps you'd expect from a tool without complex endpoint agents. The full breakdown of the software applications installed, drivers, all hardware information, and details about not only which switch the network cable is plugged into, but which port too. It's very clever how it gets all of this without complicated configuration. It was as easy as running an install and giving it credentials for our devices.

**What do you dislike about Lansweeper?**

It's early days for us (only been using it a couple of weeks) but so far, I see nothing I dislike. We are likely to implement the full version very soon (still evaluating)

**Recommendations to others considering Lansweeper:**

Just get it installed ASAP. It doesn't appear to be a demanding application for resources, and it really is extremely easy to deploy and gives you so much information out of the box.

**What problems is Lansweeper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have accurate and up to date information for all of our assets. This information was previously manually collected or summarised from other tools we have in use, but this fills gaps in the data and we can see full inventory in very impressive detail.

  ### 42. It Does it All!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 10, 2019

**What do you like best about Lansweeper?**

Lansweeper's ability to scan your network and inventory pretty much any connected device is a life saver if you have inherited an unkempt CMDB and need to get it up to date fast.

**What do you dislike about Lansweeper?**

The initial inventory is a time suck, but this isn't a problem with Lansweeper, it is just the consequence of a large network of devices needed to be scanned slowly to ensure you don't overload or DDoS your own network.

**What problems is Lansweeper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were able to get a better understanding of a regional network we inherited from previous staff, determine network configurations and our deployed assets, as well as who had them. This enabled us to facilitate a PC refresh and removed hours of guess work that

  ### 43. LANSweeper review

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** L. Scott M. | Business Systems Consultant Manager, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 13, 2018

**What do you like best about Lansweeper?**

I love that LANSweeper is a combined helpdesk and asset management tool. It puts all of my information in one place. This makes it easy for my staff to monitor tickets and predict problems before they arise.

**What do you dislike about Lansweeper?**

The report builder is quite complicated. I am rarely able to build reports I need and am forced to use the canned reports. Some reports will show different data, depending on how it is looked at. Also, Lansweeper is not very good at tracking off network items.

**Recommendations to others considering Lansweeper:**

Make sure to have an account that is a local admin on all machines you want to manage. I set scanning for Windows machines to Daily and all other devices (printers, switches, etc) to hourly.

**What problems is Lansweeper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lansweeper is used for asset management and helpdesk functions

  ### 44. Great Asset Management/Helpdesk Tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2018

**What do you like best about Lansweeper?**

Delegation of tickets to helpdesk staff is seamless. If the IP scanning setup is done correctly, it is very easy to scan desktops, laptops, and other and whitelist network devices.

**What do you dislike about Lansweeper?**

I don't think this software does a great job of helping to answer user questions. There are a few features that seem absent from the software and when admins (like myself) tried to ask questions in the forum, we didn't receive answers that addressed our problems. Each update seemed to move or remove a key feature without any guide to where it was moved to/replaced with.

**Recommendations to others considering Lansweeper:**

It's a great piece of free software.

**What problems is Lansweeper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Delegation of helpdesk tickets by name is very helpful. I am able to see status updates of the completed tasks. I've also been able to locate laptops that have not been returned for some time and that allows me to perform due diligence and follow up with users to obtain unused network devices.

  ### 45. Lansweeper- Is a great tool for managing assets

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Research | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 02, 2019

**What do you like best about Lansweeper?**

What I like best about Lansweeper is that you can control assets remotely, deploy packages, install/ uninstall software remotely.

**What do you dislike about Lansweeper?**

Rebooting assets/computers sometimes take a while.

**Recommendations to others considering Lansweeper:**

Lansweeper is a great tool for system administration

**What problems is Lansweeper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Problems that we are trying to solve with Lansweeper is the company assets. Remotely install applications and getting asset information within the organization's network.

  ### 46. Great tool for Network Assessment.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Legal Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2018

**What do you like best about Lansweeper?**

1> Almost all details one can get about the LAN, Computers to Printers installed in the organization.
2>Easy to understand and clear interface .

**What do you dislike about Lansweeper?**

You need to learn SQL queries to operate this tool effectively.

**Recommendations to others considering Lansweeper:**

Must have good knowledge of Sql before using it

**What problems is Lansweeper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am solving the inventory issues , keeping security check of all the devices on the network, warranty status of the PCs and laptops. Most important benefit is by sitting in Cleveland , Ohio ; i can check all the details of network in my other office in Chicago.

  ### 47. Lansweeper-A neat solution I didn't know I needed

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John P. | Network Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2018

**What do you like best about Lansweeper?**

My favorite feature of Lansweeper is its flexibility. My team has expanded use to include hardware inventory, software inventory, reports and software installs.

**What do you dislike about Lansweeper?**

Honestly, not much. It's a well-written app with a simple web interface at a fair price.

**Recommendations to others considering Lansweeper:**

I really believe you should give this a look, even if you already have something that has these capabilities. It use very intuitive and comes as a fair price.

**What problems is Lansweeper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hardware and software inventory, license compliance and software installations. We also have reports that run to alert when standard software has not been installed on any machines in our environment.

  ### 48. Great asset inventory application

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Paper & Forest Products | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 26, 2018

**What do you like best about Lansweeper?**

Software reporting, single pane of glass for almost all of the details needed to manage endpoints, servers, switches, etc.

**What do you dislike about Lansweeper?**

Deployment system is a little clunky. No way to stop software deployments once initiated. Cannot group software packages by overall product in compliance. Adds annoyance level when trying to get your head around a general package installed. How many licenses of Office are installed? Need to manually tally up installation quantities OR use crazy SQL logic to normalize datasets.

**What problems is Lansweeper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Stale assets, asset management in general. Software compliance. Workstation auditing.

  ### 49. Lansweeper Helpdesk tracks our user support requests.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jon G. | Developer, Religious Institutions, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 29, 2017

**What do you like best about Lansweeper?**

Lansweeper enables us to track user support requests, inventory and report on our devices, and even remotely run scripts and commands. It gives us a detailed look into each computer on our network.

**What do you dislike about Lansweeper?**

The UI could be a more modernized and fluent. Also it would be nice if the helpdesk accepted email commands, similar to Spiceworks.

**Recommendations to others considering Lansweeper:**

Lansweeper may be missing a few features still, but overall we have found it to meet our needs. The ability to create custom reports based on the data collected on each machine; the Deployment functionality enabling us to push out installs, uninstalls, custom scripts, etc.; and the Helpdesk all make Lansweeper worthy of your consideration.

**What problems is Lansweeper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a helpdesk application and computer inventory management system. Lansweeper does both, and does it well.

  ### 50. Very useful in keeping track of PC resources over your network.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brandon J. | IT Support Technician, Computer & Network Security, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 18, 2018

**What do you like best about Lansweeper?**

Reports for various items such os disk space and being able to scan by user name to see what computer they last logged into and plugins to aid in remote maintenance.

**What do you dislike about Lansweeper?**

Some reports do not clear after fixing the issue. It seems to take a couple of rescans sometimes.

**Recommendations to others considering Lansweeper:**

I had never used this prior to coming to this company. I really wish I had know about it in my prior ventures. It is a great tool to manage hardware for multiple users.

**What problems is Lansweeper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

allows us to monitor disk space and other issues over the entire network with a central program.
