**What do you like best about Kount?**

The dashboard is user-friendly, and the risk scores are presented very clearly, making it straightforward to approve, decline, or review transactions without any uncertainty. I also appreciate the high level of customization available for the rules—you can adjust them to fit your specific business requirements, which helps minimize false declines while maintaining strong protection.

**What do you dislike about Kount?**

The pricing may seem high for smaller businesses, and there are occasions when the system flags transactions that are only borderline, requiring manual review. Greater flexibility in reporting and quicker support responses during busy periods would help make the overall experience more seamless.

**What problems is Kount solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kount primarily addresses the issue of fraudulent transactions and chargebacks. Prior to implementing it, identifying risky orders in a timely manner was challenging, and many decisions relied heavily on manual reviews. This often resulted in delays, lost revenue, and occasionally the unintentional blocking of legitimate customers.

**What do you like best about Kount?**

The number of options Kount has is great for companies of all sizes. We had specific needs that required customization and they worked with our Dev team to get it done. Implementation was a lot quicker than the competitors. From scoping out our projet to the 90 day personalized onboarding (Shoutout to Olaia ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐) it was a great experience. Responsive, thorough, and easy to use software.

**What do you dislike about Kount?**

There were a few snags with implementation between Kount and our Dev team. The issues were all resolved, I wish it could have been handled quicker but it was to be expected with the custom integration we required.

**What problems is Kount solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kount has helped us stop card testing on our website through our bill payment and e-commerce store.

**What do you like best about Kount?**

The user interface is easy to navigate, and with the addition of 3rd party data providers you have enhanced validation, and ability to improve your decisions. I'm also excited about product enhancements to leverage new AI decision science!

**What do you dislike about Kount?**

Some of the scoring, and terminology seem to be in conflict with each other, which is probably just a function of how the product evolved over time.  Hi scores, vs low scores, before vs after for example when setting context related to proximity or time of purchase can be confusing. 

**What problems is Kount solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using the application to keep fraudsters at bay, create friction and prevent a free lunch.   No solution is perfect, and with any solution there will be values you have to tolerate, business rules and decisions based on what your budget is for loss.  The solution can be tuned by the end user to meet those needs.

**What do you like best about Kount?**

Kount is a great fraud mitigation tool for our business and has the ability to support multiple brands. The account managers are always willing to help and very easy to communicate with. We are frequently learning about new tools/capabilities in the Kount platform which is fundamental to the ever changing fraud environment.

**What do you dislike about Kount?**

Being nitpicky, some functions could benefit from updates/enhancements so users can use the service and retrieve information with ease.

Kount has and is helping our company mitigate and identify fraud across our brands. Our ability to analyze the data we receive through Kount, assists us in creating rules to support our good customers while decreasing risk.

Kount can vbe used in a number of versitile and complex ways that allow for a customized use for any business. They have utilized not only their own AI learning, but also have partnered with several companies to allow integrations into their systems in every facet of fraud. Whether it is chargeback mitigation, friendly fraud mitigation, verification or simply protecting your company from incoming fraudsters; they have it covered.

The move from Datamart to Data on Demand does now require some BI presence, where as Datamart had really eliminated the need for it for smaller businesses.

**What problems is Kount solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kount provides not only their own internal AI scores but also partners with Ekata for customer verification. We also use thier integrations for Insights, Ethoca, and Kount Control. Using their full suite of products has helped us better protect our company from all types of fraud. In addition, their account management team is superb at working with us!

**What do you like best about Kount?**

The alerts help me catch chargebacks before they get processed. I get the alert, go into Kount and deal with it immediately before it reaches my merchant processor. Plus I have almost 3 days to get it taken care of. Just enough time.

**What do you dislike about Kount?**

Honestly, to be fair, the only thing I have seen and it is not really  bad, but I have forgotten a couple of alerts because I get the alert email, but sometimes it hasn't reached my dashboard, maybe because I react too fast. So I wait a bit and it arrives maybe a few minutes later. However a couple of times I completely forgot about it and they timed out. They do, however, have an automatic setting to take care of it, I just like to see what the alert is. Nothing major, but just wanted to give a fair review.

**What problems is Kount solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am getting alerts before I get chargebacks. It has lowered our chargeback rate by almost 900 percent. Yes, I typed it correctly. We were at almost 9 percent, and I think we are alot closer to 1 percent if not lower.

**What do you like best about Kount?**

Having Kount as part of our fraud software protection has been a blessing. Over 90% less in chargebacks, putting more money in our pocket. Creating rules that work for our line of business is the easiest way and the support from Kount's staff makes like so much easier.

**What do you dislike about Kount?**

I wish we could like CC info to the cutomer. Unfortunaley due to PCI constrictions we cannot have that. Would make challenging a CB so much easier.

**What problems is Kount solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This has been an very successful for our business thanks to Kount. Our chargebacks are down 68% YoY with a savings of over 70K. By having the feature to block and control repeat fraudsters has proven the best asset for us. No more having to investigate through multple applications when everything is right at your fingertips in Kount.

**What do you like best about Kount?**

The reporting details and dashboards available.  The support we received whenever we encountered an issue is excellent.  Their portal is very user friendly and allows to generate reports quickly.

**What do you dislike about Kount?**

Sometimes they submit updates on their portal that changes completely the way we visualize some reports.  Is not a big downside since it doesnt take long to adapt again.

With the DDC we were able to more accurately allow trusted devices into our system as well as viewing details whenever we receive report of potential unauthorized login attempts.

This tool enables our business to mitigate chargebacks and reduce our fraud exposure. Additionally through its data analysis capabilities it allows us to provide excellent reporting to stakeholders about key metrics

The only thing I don't like is the lag time of data mart. It can load a bit slow at times but that's it

I wish there was a bit better onboarding for new analysts doing manual review. A clear cut and easy to understand explanation of rules would be awesome.

There is not much I dislike about Kount.  It does sometimes crash and kicks me off here and there while using but I believe that is no ones fault but possibly a connection issue.

The quick, friendly and responsive team is by far our favorite aspect of using Kount. Implementation was quick and painless and the Kount team handled pretty much all feature installation, including recommending blocks based on data we provided. Integrating and teaching the program to others on the team is also pretty easy.

The interface could be a bit more intuitive and user-friendly for a beginner.

Kount is saving us dozens of hours weekly that used to be spent manually reviewing each order for potential fraud.

**What do you like best about Kount?**

The tools are user friendly and intuitive making it easy to pick up, integrate, and train a team to use.  The AWS provides all the data a fraud analyst would need to appropriately asses a transaction.  The reporting and rule creation are very easy to navigate and take the guesswork out of how to place a rule so you can instead focus on addressing fraud trends.  The support of the Kount staff is above and beyond, they are dedicated to their clients and partners and always available to help navigate more complicated fraud problems.  They do provide support 24/7 and we are lucky to have our own dedicated account manager who knows our product well and how Kount can help us.  They do a remarkable job of keeping us informed.  They take into account the feedback they get from their customers and you can see that clearly in how they communicate with us.

**What do you dislike about Kount?**

Downloading reports heavy on data can be slow which is understandable given there is so much data available.  It would also be helpful if we could set the values of certain reports differently so it's not always transaction (by user, by IP, by device, etc.).

**What problems is Kount solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were able to reduce fraud loss dramatically by leveraging Kount solutions.  We had better visibility on user behavior and granular data on devices, we could easily flag or stop known fraudulent data points.  We also lean heavily on the customization of data fields and rule conditions to better address the fraud specific to our business.  We have better visibility on false positives and are able to work out ways to reduce them in real time.  We are able to maintain and dig into data and reporting without relying on data science resources. Kount has provided a certain level of autonomy to our operations teams which helps us prioritize issues our users are facing.

We love how extensive the data is that you can pull on specific orders and how incredibly knowledgable and helpful our support representative is.

I think a more user-friendly interface and something that's a bit more digestable for the average user would help elevate the product tenfold.

Kount has allowed us to mitigate the number of manual reviews we have to do to guess whether an order is fraudulent or not. With the rules we've worked to implement, Kount has automated this process completely. The accuracy of Kount is incredible!

We use Kount in multiple ways to defend our checkout process from fraud. It provides a defense from volume attacks and provides scoring of our transactions so that we can automatically reject, review, or accept them.

**What do you dislike about Kount?**

I don't dislike any of Kount's current functionality. It does what we need it to.

**What problems is Kount solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kount is integrated into our checkout process. For most transactions, this is a seamless operation. When a transaction comes up that fails the process, we use Kount's dashboard UI to review the transaction and, if needed, whitelist the customer so that they can continue to buy from us. When we find a new form of fraud or a pattern of suspicious behavior, we use Kount's rule builder to make new rules that guard against this new situation.

The level of professionality of the team, their knowledge of the chargeback and fraud prevention world, their continue follow up for assistance and support! We had a great professional experience working with Kount Team!

**What do you dislike about Kount?**

At the moment, I do not have any dislike, however I suggest implementing a overall reporting feature in the Chargeback tool, we need to retrieve details of all the chargebacks with details into one excel spreadsheet in order for us to document and review this information, however currently the platform does not have this feature, which is a bit frustrating.

**What problems is Kount solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Chargeback rate issues, and now working on the fraud prevention tool in order to detect fraud orders and prevent fraud chargebacks. The team has been able to identify our issues and propose solutions accordingly.

Everything is built around the Omniscore, so if your website and process are not set up properly you can introduce a number of issues that can lower your customer's score and cause them to be blocked by your rules.

We previously had a major issue with chargebacks. Kount allowed us to stop the bleeding, but the ability to perform link analysis and flag/block returning fraudsters has ended up being an essential feature for our day to day operations.

I can't think of any downsides to the product. Our involvement with Kount reaches back over a decade and we have had no issues with them aside from expected (and rare) downtime, which is unavoidable from any company.

Our main use case is flagging high-risk transactions for review, and being able to flag confirmed fraud in order to catch those individuals if they try returning for another attempt. The link analysis feature is amazing for identifying fraudsters who have created multiple accounts using fake names or stolen payment credentials.

I like that Kount gives many features to check on a customer's history with chargebacks, as well as allowing you to decline a customer based on many different factors.  The scores are very useful to determine if a customer is "borderline" and allow me to fraud check my orders properly.

I dislike that Kount does not give a way for a consumer to mark a market segment or a specific customer as not being automatically acceptable.  Many different government clients and medical customers are automatically flagged with a low Omniscore, so this a bit of a waste of time having to go through those customers, where everything else matches up just fine, it is just the market segment that flags them.  i also do not like that the website automatically logs me out after 10 minutes of inactivity.  In my role, I bounce from many different systems, and this is a feature that hampers my work speed just a bit.

**Recommendations to others considering Kount:**

I definitely recommend that companies use Kount in order to help their bottom line.  It is a very useful site to help track down fraud and alleviate having to worry about chargebacks. It allows us to be able to look at pattern trends with our products, and allows us to see what fraudsters target.

With Kount, we have cut down on our chargebacks by a lot. The main benefit is that it has allowed our company to save on those orders that we would not catch as fraud in the past, and it allows us to flag repeat offenders to automatically review those orders.

I like the freedom Kount provides. The system uses rules I configured and then makes decisions based on those rules. Also, the ability to do an approve/decline model has proven to be a seamless experience for our customers, as we primarily deal with digital goods. When they order, they want their products now, and Kount has allowed us to deliver orders instantly without sacrificing fraud prevention.

I also like how much information is provided for each transaction. It helps me understand the similarities between fraudulent orders, which ultimately makes for a better chance at preventing fraud.

**What do you dislike about Kount?**

Right now, my only complaint is that when Kount cancels an order it does not restock those items. This seems to be a limitation between Kount and Shopify but I've been reassured it is on their to-do list to fix this issue.

One thing I would recommend is to improve the loading time of new transactions into Kount's system. It seems to take 15 minutes or so to add new orders to the Kount site. If there's a way to make it update faster, it would help prevent the scammers that hit hard and fast.

Kount is a powerful tool and it can be intimidating at first. But their support is phenomenal as is their onboarding process. Don't let the uncertainty of setting up rules stop you from using the best fraud tool in the market.  Kount is simply the best!

For one, I can actually sleep. Not only has Kount thwarted scammers from ransacking my site (as they did prior to Kount), they do so while I sleep. Which means no more manual reviews! I'm saving time which ultimately saves me money.

Kount just works. It's an extremely reliable platform that balances user experience with technical detail - a complete novice can operate Kount, and if you are experienced and want to get your hands dirty you can do that too. Add to that, their Client Success Managers are among the best I've encountered from any vendor in any industry.

I truly struggle to think of anything I dislike about Kount. One thing I would love to see is full use of Kount's features facilitated by the Braintree hosted integration (which isn't really even about Kount itself), and a graph network tool for visual link analysis.

I honestly don't have anything I dislike that Kount could fix. I wish I knew more about the data points for thier proprietary Omni-score (it is extremely helpful in creating rules). Although I do not know their specific data points they use to get the Omni-score, I have still been able to trust it.

Make sure that your implementation is documented and all fields are flowing into the correct fields into Kount. If it is not implemented correctly, your team may end up working harder then need be to stop and prevent fraud.

I have been able to automate order reviews based on rule creation which has cut back on unnecessary order review. I would not be successful with stopping fraudulent orders if we did not have Kount. Doing it alone is not an option. I am able to tailor the rules on the fly, so if fraudsters find a weakness, I can create rules specifically focused on that weakness and/or add specific skus to be reviewed which has mitigated huge losses.

**What do you like best about Kount?**

The entire Kount team has been extremely easy to work with and the partnership has been outstanding.  The Kount platform is a very powerful tool for fraud mitigation and detection.  The Kount team has also exceeded our expectations, not only identifying fraud but leveraging the system to improve business functions as well.

**What do you dislike about Kount?**

I would like more freedom to customize the Kount dashboard that displays upon login to show a quick snapshot.  Today, there is no ability to customize this option for the homepage dashboard.  That being said, there is not much to dislike about this company.

**What problems is Kount solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fraud trends continue to evolve and become more complex.  Kount helps quickly identify these trends and routinely adapts as needed.  The close partnership has also allowed us to understand new fraud trends before they impact our company and allow us to be proactive in many cases rather than taking a reactive approach.

**What do you like best about Kount?**

Kount RIS API is very clear and concise and easy to implement.  There rule based risk checking is easy to use and their documentation and support materials are excellent.

Their sales and support team are very professional and can help and guide you throughout the integration process.  They are not hidden behind anonymous email addresses and are more than happy to do face to face and video conferencing calls.

The Kount portal is fully featured and allows to see your orders in details along with plenty of dashboard graphs and controls to allow you to get the best out of the system.

**What do you dislike about Kount?**

There is not much to dislike about Kount.  It does what it says it will do and is easy to use.

The RIS API field names can get a little cryptic but that is just a very minor point.

**What problems is Kount solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are a Payment Gateway and offer our Merchants the ability to risk check all their transactions via Kount in a seamless manner.

This allows the Merchant a very quick and painless entry in to Kount's services.

The ease by which we can send transaction details to the Kount RIS service and receive back a simple fraud score allows our Merchants to decide whether to continue with a transaction,  to continue but seek further cardholder authentication before authorisation or seek further information before settling,  or just to abort the transaction.

The RIS API is quick and efficient and can offer immediate benefits even without the need to configure complex fraud checking rules allowing a Merchant to get the benefit immediately without long complex configuration processes.

The real time aspect allow this all to sit in the actual payment flow with no impact to the Consumer's experience and no complex delaying additional fraud checking.
