In minutes, PDF documents can be enriched by embedding interactive content anywhere on a page or on the side to be displayed across a range of different pages or chapters, including Youtube videos, ArcGIS maps, images, text overlays, and much more. (Accepts virtually all iFrame embed codes.) Visitors use Konveio to better navigate and inform themselves through the help of an interactive glossaries (to define jargon and acronyms), interactive table of contents menu, step by step guided tours, translation support, screen reader support, and more. Beyond commenting on PDF materials, forms, surveys, discussion forums, and more can be placed anywhere on your document (including the sidebar to span any/all of the pages of your document). All of the feedback and comments received can be analyzed within the platform using search, tagging, and filters. Everything may be exported as a report including CSV or annotated PDF formats. Konveio's clients receive their own branded space with a unique URL to share. For an even more seamless experience, documents may be embedded to other platforms and websites as an iFrame embed code. I could easily upload multiple documents and collborators would only need to go into one place to view, interact, and comment on them. It was easy for me to implement the different features I wanted and provided me with a simple, centralized view of the comments received. **What do you dislike about Konveio Document Engagement Platform?** It took me a couple tries to get used to which fields I wanted to update, but I got the hang of it! **What problems is Konveio Document Engagement Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** Konveio solved the problem of disaggregated documents and feedback. By providing one place where I could direct stakeholders for review and comment, and therefore only have one place I needed to go to see it all was so much better than asking for comments on a Google Doc or sticky nots on an Adobe PDF, for example. ### 2. It is super easy to setup and very intuitive for end users to provide comments, feedback and see what others are thinking. It also is a great way to increase engagement by reaching a much larger audience that is typically accessed through the public meeting alone approach. Highly recommend. **What do you dislike about Konveio Document Engagement Platform?** We typically work in small communities, so cost per project has been an issue, but the value is increasingly becoming worth it. Also, the AI feature is difficult with some of the zoning code we work with, but the Konveio team has been working with us to help with this. The commenting tool makes it easy to get feedback. Very adaptable and ability to link to online maps is straightforward and powerful. **What do you dislike about Konveio Document Engagement Platform?** Works best/easiest if your engagement is plan or document focused. Although, I am impressed with the ways you can customize the experience for interactive components and the support is excellent. **What problems is Konveio Document Engagement Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have used Konveio for planning document review, for both staff/agency review and public comments. It has been an amazing asset to gather feedback internally and from a broad audience. Being able to synthesize the comments by categories and location was extremely beneficial to understanding the reach of the plan and the level of participation. It made it very easy and quick to incorporate meaningful feedback and respond to citizen concerns. ### 4. It allows people to comment on a particular document on the document itself, rather than send an email to staff that references what they are commenting it. By being so specific, it makes for better engagement and understanding by staff. It also allows others to see those comments, preventing duplicate commenting in the process, allowing folks to piggyback off one another, and overall creating greater online engagement on policy. I've used in internally and externally, and those who leave comment generally find the interface intuitive and easy to use. **What do you dislike about Konveio Document Engagement Platform?** If there is a negative, it's not Konveio itself but how city government and other entities tend to view public commnent in general. Konveio, as a system, is designed to cut down on repeat public comment by allow the public to like/dislike something that's already been stated. The downside of that is explaining that to civic leaders, who for their entire public service are used to hearing or believing that "500 people left a comment on a document" is somehow more valid than "2000 people liked this one 1 comment." If purchasing this software, you need to consider introducing how it shapes conversations to your team and your leadership and shift their paradigm a bit. **What problems is Konveio Document Engagement Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's solving the problem of duplicating time and effort to receive the same public feedback on a given item or policy. ### 5. The design of the system is intutive, and easy to use, allowing stakeholders the opportunity to provide their specific comments right into the draft standard, making it more clear around the changes they are advocating for and improves stakeholder engagement and understanding by staff. It also allows others to see those comments, preventing duplicate commenting in the process, and allows for confirmation or input on thoughts that others have already shared. As a first-time user, I didn't have to spend hours and hours learning how to get it to do want I wanted. When I did get stumped on a few settings, Konveio's support team responded immediately and resolved my questions, even tweaking the code for one setting on my project to meet the needs of a particular client. Both the written and video tutorials are also well-organized, clear, and concise, so you don't have to waste time wading through a bunch of irrelevant content. We mainly used the public input function of the platform, which has a well-designed interface and is intuitive for people commenting on documents. We didn't even scratch the surface of Konveio's full functionality, but it appears just as powerful and intuitive. Best of all, our client was extremely happy with Konveio, which made us look good! My firm will definitely be using Konveio on future projects. **What do you dislike about Konveio Document Engagement Platform?** There's not much to dislike about Konveio. I have my documents appear in another platform so I don't have to send people to Konveio. They see it right in our own engagement platform. This is very convenient for us as we have made efforts to reduce the number of platforms we use as a means of simplifying access for participants. **What do you dislike about Konveio Document Engagement Platform?** I haven't encountered a downside yet. I am using it within the Engage platform so that's super useful for us--that it can be loaded into a platform we already have established. I get Support from Engage to set it up and need to learn to do that myself. That's the only downside: I need a bit of time to learn how to set it up in Engage.
