Who is Kipu pricing best suited for?

Kipu EMR's pricing, delivered via custom enterprise quotes, is best suited for behavioral health, addiction treatment, and mental health organizations that need a purpose-built EMR rather than a general-purpose system. G2 reviewers span small businesses and mid-market organizations across Hospital and Health Care, Mental Health Care, and Medical Practice industries, with the strongest satisfaction signals coming from mid-market firms with 51 to 1,000 employees. G2 reviews of Kipu EMR indicate it fits organizations prioritizing compliance documentation, clinical-to-billing integration, and customizable intake workflows. Smaller practices benefit from ease of use, while mid-market teams leverage reporting, census management, and RCM integrations most heavily.

What are the key differences between the free and paid versions of Kipu?

According to G2's pricing data for Kipu EMR, no free version or free tier exists. Kipu EMR's pricing is structured around custom enterprise quotes, meaning there is no publicly listed entry-level plan or standardized tier ladder. Prospective buyers must engage Kipu EMR's sales team directly to obtain pricing tailored to their organization's size and needs. G2 data on Kipu EMR does not indicate a free trial offering either. This custom-quote model means pricing of Kipu EMR varies by configuration, integration requirements, and organizational scale, making direct tier-to-tier feature comparisons unavailable without a vendor conversation.

G2 users consistently highlight purpose-built behavioral health and addiction treatment specialization, responsive support, AI chart tools, and customizable forms as key value drivers. For organizations in mental health or substance use treatment, G2 reviews of Kipu EMR suggest the ROI is real and measurable.

"Intuitive and Efficient EMR That Simplifies Documentation and Auditing"
5/5
What do you like best about Kipu?

I really appreciate how intuitive and user-friendly Kipu EMR is. The layout and navigation make it easy to complete daily tasks efficiently without needing extensive training, which has significantly streamlined my workflow. For example, documenting client information and updating records is straightforward and quick, allowing me to spend more time focusing on client care rather than administrative work.

The feature I find most valuable is the chart summary and AI chart snapshot. These tools are incredibly helpful when auditing files, as they provide quick, centralized access to a client’s documents and key information without having to navigate through multiple sections. This has saved me a significant amount of time and made the auditing process much more efficient and thorough.

Another thing I really appreciate is the level of support available. The built-in help feature allows you to easily submit a ticket or connect with a live support specialist, and I’ve found their team to be responsive and helpful in real time.

Additionally, I feel that the value Kipu provides aligns well with its cost. The time savings, efficiency improvements, and auditing capabilities make it a worthwhile investment for our organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Kipu?

One limitation I’ve encountered is the inability to track no-show appointments through the reporting feature. Since no-show attendance is an important metric for our organization, not having a built-in way to report on this creates extra manual work and reduces efficiency in our reporting processes.

Another challenge is with the billing audit tool, specifically that it does not transmit the time of service over to CollaborateMD. This creates gaps in invoicing accuracy and requires additional steps to ensure billing information is complete.

Additionally, some of our forms are quite lengthy, which can slow down the system and impact performance. This can make documentation more time-consuming, especially when working within larger or more detailed client records.

Addressing these issues would greatly improve both reporting and invoicing workflows, while also enhancing overall system efficiency and user experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Flexible, Customizable Templates That Grow With Our Agency"
4/5
What do you like best about Kipu?

I like that adjustments can be made to templates and additional clinical groups can be added or removed easily- it’s tailored to meet our needs as a growing agency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Kipu?

I don’t like the Treatment Planning section. It could be simpler- allowing all items on the problem list to create on Clinical Tx plan instead of having to create separate plans for each problem listed Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
