I believe it was due to an ad being recently added, and the goal was set to impressions. There could have been more clarity as to what was happening in the decision API explanation. Also the analytics for unique users is not easy to access with the reporting provided. We have to ingest all the raw kevel logs, which are cumbersome to untangle. **Recommendations to others considering Kevel:** Its a great platform for production ad delivery. I would say the very responsive nature of their customer service is absolutely one of their strong suits. We always have our questions answered within minutes of asking. **What do you dislike about Kevel?** There are timing limitations to how often data is refreshed, and this is a pain point for us specifically. Also the reporting is very basic and lacks more insights. **What problems is Kevel solving and how is that benefiting you?** There isn't a specific problem that we are solving with Kevel that couldn't be covered in any other Ad server. Their stack has allowed us to do everything we have wanted in terms of serving ads, determine ad decision processes and leveraging our data to create more effective campaigns for our advertising customers. Their UserDB is an extremely valuable feature as well when it comes to leveraging behavioral tracking for improving ad relevance based on previous actions. ### 25. While other ad servers are clearly more aimed at profiting off of publishers, Adzerk is focused on making the tool more user friendly. For example, client side header bidding line item (aka Flights) set up is a breeze and does not require thousand of line items for high granularity. Other solutions (S2S) were a breeze to set up as well. If there is a feature that is lacking, Adzerk will often work with you to provide a custom solution. **What do you dislike about Kevel?** What I dislike is simply reduced access to some demand that can improve yield. **Recommendations to others considering Kevel:** Take advantage of the customer support! **What problems is Kevel solving and how is that benefiting you?** We were somewhat early adopters of client side header bidding with prebid and we realized the Adzerk team was very cooperative in our efforts to get this implemented. But not only that, they give you white glove, one-on-one service. They take the time to answer my question for my site's unique needs. No cookie cutter answers. The Adzerk platform is easy to use and speedy. You don't have to read through pages and pages of info to get something up and running on the site. We are trying to do VAST integration now, and I wish they supported the latest version of the spec, or had better docs and support for this, but it's a less used feature. Also, our company is based in Singapore, so it would have been ideal to be able to set up campaigns in a time zone besides GMT. It allows for full customizations of different ad experiences that interact with your customers in a number of different ways. Targeting features, userdb, campaign building and support are all top notch and I would certainly recommend them for people who are looking to be really hands on with their product. What sets adzerk apart is the ability to make something custom and not be pigeoned into a single ad unit type or placement. **What do you dislike about Kevel?** Docs can sometimes be a bit outdated, however support usually clears up many of our questions. Most feature requests we ask for are outside the normal SOW for most display advertisers but the team usually works with us to find a solution or workaround. **Recommendations to others considering Kevel:** If you're looking for a robust product that allows you to serve ads that's not just an adserver this is what you're looking for. They have much more features than just plug and play functionality that can help you reach your goals if you're willing to think outside the box. **What problems is Kevel solving and how is that benefiting you?** We've solved a number of different problems with adzerk and we continue to solve even more. I can't go into specifics on how exactly we're using it but it is integrated with many of our products and it continues to be a bigger part of our business helping us reach bigger and bigger goals. ### 36. They've also added some features into their product roadmap for us and the whole team is super responsive to our questions. Their documentation is also very accessible and being an API first company makes it very easy to customize their offering to our specific needs and build our own UI around it. **What do you dislike about Kevel?** Adtech is a huge space and it is understandable that you won't find all the features you would like already on Adzerk's feature set, so that would be the only gripe, sometimes you need to wait until the new development catches up.
