Setup and implementation felt easy for me, and scheduling meetings, sharing links and joining sessions works smoothly during daily work. The thing I like about this platform is it is very helpful in bringing meetings, chats, notes, files and other recordings and transcriptions all into a single organised workspace. Their in-person meeting with supporters is also a strong feature as it helps capture our discussions even when meetings are not fully online. The meeting minute templates offer very few customization options, so we cannot adjust layouts, fields and formatting to meet the strict official documentation requirements for works council submissions. File sharing also has noticeable size limits, creating hassle when we need to share lengthy labor policies, payroll summaries and multi-page reports during live meetings. Most notably, there is no native connection to our Ektefa HRMS. What I like most is that I don’t need multiple tools to manage a meeting anymore. I can create a workspace, open a room for a topic, host the meeting, write notes in the same place and track follow-ups without switching tabs. That alone has made my workflow more structured. On the free plan, getting started was straightforward. I created a workspace, added a few rooms for different discussions and began scheduling meetings immediately. There wasn’t any complicated setup process. One thing that has genuinely helped is having room-based notes and history. Instead of trying to remember what was discussed last week, I can just go back to the room and see everything in context. That reduces confusion and saves time when decisions need to be revisited. For regular coordination and internal meetings, it keeps things organized without overcomplicating the process. For a free version, it covers what I need and fits well into my day-to-day workflow. I would have a call in one platform, write notes somewhere else and then track action items separately. It made it harder to stay organized and sometimes I had to spend extra time trying to remember what was decided. Now, I keep everything inside the same workspace and room. I can host the meeting, write notes during the discussion and later go back to review what was covered. That change alone has made my workflow more structured. The biggest benefit for me is clarity after meetings. Instead of searching through different apps, I can quickly check the room history and notes. We regularly run recurring weekly research syncs and monthly client review meetings. Right now, the platform does not support setting up recurring meeting schedules in bulk. Every time we need a series of regular sessions, we have to create new meetings and send out links manually one by one. Additionally, there are no customizable meeting reminders. When arranging interviews with target users or meetings with external clients, we cannot set advance reminders to notify participants, which occasionally leads to late attendance and delays our research progress. Secondly, its meeting recording and content organization functions are too simplistic. Qik Meeting only offers basic full video recording. It does not support separate audio-only export, timestamp tagging or clipping key segments from recordings. After finishing a user interview, I have to replay the entire long video repeatedly to extract valuable feedback, instead of quickly jumping to marked key parts.
