Who is Kanban Boards in Gmail and Google Workspace pricing best suited for?

Kanban Boards in Gmail and Google Workspace's pricing is best suited for mid-market teams in IT and services industries managing multiple client workstreams inside Google Workspace. G2 reviewers in the 51-1000 employee range highlight its strength for client-facing roles: account managers, support leads, and project coordinators juggling parallel teams who need task context tied directly to email threads. The custom enterprise quote model makes it scalable for larger deployments. Smaller teams or individual users benefit from the free trial to assess fit. Anyone already living in Gmail and needing lightweight, board-per-client task tracking gets the strongest return on the pricing of Kanban Boards in Gmail and Google Workspace.

What are the key differences between the free and paid versions of Kanban Boards in Gmail and Google Workspace?

G2's pricing data for Kanban Boards in Gmail and Google Workspace shows no published tier breakdown, but a free trial is available for evaluation. The trial gives teams hands-on access to core functionality: converting Gmail threads into Kanban cards, managing multi-board workflows, and using the Get Work Done view for daily prioritization. Full access beyond the trial requires a custom quote, particularly for enterprise needs. G2 reviewers confirm the trial is sufficient to validate the Gmail-native workflow before committing. Teams needing enterprise-scale deployment or dedicated support should contact Kanban Boards in Gmail and Google Workspace directly for tailored pricing.

Is Kanban Boards in Gmail and Google Workspace considered good value for its pricing?

G2 reviewers rate Kanban Boards in Gmail and Google Workspace a perfect 5.0/5, signaling strong cost-to-value satisfaction. A mid-market IT reviewer using it daily across multiple client teams highlights the core value: email threads convert directly into Kanban cards with context intact, eliminating the need for a separate task management tool. The Gmail-native integration alone justifies the pricing of Kanban Boards in Gmail and Google Workspace for teams already operating inside Google Workspace. Minor gaps noted include lack of stale-card reminders and onboarding templates, but these are workflow refinements, not value-breakers. A free trial lets teams validate fit before committing to custom enterprise pricing.

"Shared Kanban Board inside Google Workspace for Easy Task Management"

5/5

What do you like best about Kanban Boards in Gmail and Google Workspace?

I like that it keeps task management inside Gmail, where most of our work starts. I’ve been using Kanban Tasks for about 10 months across multiple client teams, and it’s one of the few setups that doesn’t turn into a mess once you’re juggling more than one group.

The big win is turning an email thread into a card and moving it across a simple flow like To Do, Doing, Waiting, Done. The email context stays attached (subject + link back to the original email), so I’m not copying things into a separate tool or losing track of where the request came from.

In practice, I keep one board per client team and switch between them quickly. That makes it easy to stay on top of follow-ups and requests without mixing things up.

I also use the “Get Work Done” view a lot because it pulls together what’s due today/this week, which is useful when you’re switching between multiple teams.

Unexpected benefit: my inbox feels calmer even when it’s busy, because the board holds the “work in progress,” not my memory.

Implementation was straightforward. Install the extension from Chrome Store (https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/kanban-boards-in-gmail-an/kihkmgnkhalkbaekhpidcepfllnbicji ), create a board, and start dragging/capturing emails as tasks. Since it is a seamlessly integrated Kanban Board in Google Workspace, it sits inside Gmail/Google Workspace, it fits into what we already use, and I end up using it daily (at least on weekdays) for follow-ups and task tracking. They have a very simple ‘how to’ guide (https://tooling.studio/kanban-tasks/how-to ) that explains everything about installing it and using it.

Support has been responsive too; I’ve emailed help@tooling.studio a couple of times and usually get a reply within a day, and they actually take feature suggestions seriously. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Kanban Boards in Gmail and Google Workspace?

As boards grow, I’d love a bit more help keeping things clean. Items can sit in waiting longer than intended, especially across multiple teams. A simple “stale cards” reminder (like “Waiting for 7+ days”) or optional auto-archive for Done after a set time would help.

Also, onboarding could be faster. Templates for common setups (client delivery, support triage, sales follow-ups) would help new users get value in the first 10 minutes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Kanban Boards in Gmail and Google Workspace solving and how is that benefiting you?

It solves the “inbox as a to-do list” problem, especially when you’re supporting multiple clients. Without a board, everything starts to look the same: lots of threads, lots of flags, and no clear sense of what’s moving.

With Kanban Tasks, I can see what I’m actively working on for each client team, what’s blocked, and what I’m waiting on. That reduces missed follow-ups and avoids the classic mistake of doing the right work for the wrong client because the context got mixed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
