Honestly, there is very little I dislike about Jellypod. If I had to identify one challenge, it would be that while Jellypod makes creating and distributing a podcast remarkably easy, building an audience still takes time, consistency, and promotion.

That is not really a flaw in the platform, but it can be easy to feel discouraged when the quality of the podcast comes together so quickly while audience growth happens more gradually. I love that with Jellypod, I can create anything that comes to my mind and make it relevant and educational for consumers. I have been a subscriber as the toolkit developed. The features have become more seamless with my workflow for generating content. The content I am generating is not typical - but the tools mostly keep up with what I need to do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The beginning was frustrating with using credits before being able to edit. I also wish there were voices that work consistently. I have stuck with one that keeps up with the right tone and rhythm. Other voices are a bit hit or miss and more for marketing or customer service. I am looking for educational narrators that have a tonality suitable for NPR or documentary filmmaking. Also the pronunciation of words is sometimes off and takes a while to get right. It does not read a standard phonetic spelling - sometimes over emphasizing. I love the flexibility of Jellypod, especially the ability to quickly change sentences and topics raised by each participant, and it supports up to four participants. This is very helpful in creating a larger panel. I appreciate how it preserves the DNA of each character I set up, including the profile, personality, what they say, and what they should avoid. It works really well. Additionally, the accuracy in voice and pronunciation in English is very good. In the previous version, there was an option to keep adding another episode and another episode based on the rationale the system provided around the podcast topic. As of today, I cannot find this option, and it was extremely effective. If I want to estimate or control the podcast length today, I define it in the AI prompt window, but it does not always extend the episode to the length I want. Compared to NotebookLM, Jellypod is weaker in the natural flow of conversation. It requires very detailed prompting to achieve elements like people interrupting each other, laugh, and jokes, and it is not the same level yet. I really like that Jellypod offers an English accent option instead of American, which helps my clients, who in the UK, connect better with the content.
