j2e is an online platform with a range of integrated tools and so it works on any internet connected device both in school and at home. This means it provides a central hub for teachers and students for so many aspects of their learning. This allows teachers to develop their familiarity and confidence with the platform rather than having to use a wide range of occasionally used websites and services. One of the major benefits is that all student work is stored in one place where it can easily be accessed and marked by the teacher. It is very easy for a teacher to create a task in J2E and share that with selected pupils or classes. The toolsuite can be accessed by any user from any connnected device, which provides opportunity for out of school learning. Included is a secure messaging service which provides a way for teachers and pupils to message each other without leaving the platform. Pupil to pupil messages can be disabled if the school feels this is preferable. The learning tools included range from easy to use creative titles for the youngest of users through to an 'Office-style' suite that cater for the demands of the older pupils. There is also a differentiated solution to addreess the coding aspect of the curriculum. It is very easy to publish pupils' work in a secure and e-safe manner, with the work, and any comments made, being moderated by the teacher prior to publication. For older users, there is the option to create and manage their own blogs, which, if the school feels is appropriate, can be made public on the web. On those occasions where pupils create something outside the toolsuite, it can be uploaded to their files area and become part of their e-portfolio. There is nothing that I dislike about the toolsuite. The only downside is that it is web-based and therfore relies on an internet connection. Without that, functinality is lost, but this is true of any web-based product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The launchpad let's you connect lots of different tools for each class really easily, creating a simple way for kids to access all the different apps a class might use.

Everything can be connected to learning standards

It takes advantage of Google integration in a really smart way, both in terms of provisioning students, but also by leveraging GSuite's storage.
