**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ramanan S. | Head of Operations, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

The interface is easy both to administer users and tests both alike!

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

Pricing can be startup friendly. THough they provided a discount but we feel the pricing can be a bit more competitive.

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our customers are happy that we run an automated scan of our systems regularly to check for security and vulnerability gaps. Intruder just fills that gap for us seamlessly.

  ### 3. Excellent

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David C. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

Their quality of service and expertise are both of high standard and I'd have no hesitation in recommending to others who are serious about security.

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

Price. Since the last increase they are significantly more expensive than competitors.

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've used them for nearly four years for both vulnerability scanning and penetration testing. The seem ahead of the game when it comes to tracking new vulnerabilties.

  ### 4. Making vulnerability management easy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2024

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

Intruder frees up time to focus on our core business, which is important in a small team. Its easy to set up, well supported and for us its good value. I particularly like the ability to automatically put tickets into Jira and the detailed redediation advice they come with. Its great to be able to run scans and get an up to date report any time its needed. I also like the automatic tracking of the speed at which we resolve issues. I'm sure using Intruder helped with the great results we got in a recent Pen Test.

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

I have no significant issues with Intruder. The hardest thing for me working out what to set up the scans against, which the support team hand held me through wth great professionalism.

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Intruder provides us with a quick and easy way to address our vulnerability scanning needs. It addresses the problem that I am sure many small businesees must share? Vulnerability scanning is a very important area but also one that requires a level of expertise that few small businesses will be able to maintain in house. Intruder has bridged that gap very effectively for us.

  ### 5. Wonderful!!

The regular reports make our compliance really easy.

I look forward to extending our testing with some of their more advanced features later in the year.

We use intruder.io to fulfill our compliance requirements for ISO 27001 and PCI.

  ### 6. Intruder.io Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Drew L. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2024

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

The scanner allowed our company to pass security assessments and allowed us to participate in various engagements. It helped me determine what computers were out of date with software, and some registry issues I didn't know existed in Windows. The monthly reports were a great tool to see what updates were available, especially as a small business running remotely. The GUI is great to see what's wrong at a glance. Customer support is quick and friendly.

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

Best to be installed in person in case troubleshooting needs to happen. I know the team is working on making installations easier.

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helped us pass security assessments from clients, allowing us to do business with them.

  ### 7. Covers the essential security bases for your managed assets

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dave B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2024

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

Takes some of the donkey work out of managing assets. Lets us focus on running the business, with some degree of security that we've covered some of the essential security vulnerabilities in various deployed assets.

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

Remediation scans used to take ages, they're a lot quicker now though. The 'session expired' messages when logging in again (after a few days absence) are annoying, but not deal breaker.

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reminders for regular updates (as needed) and catching various framework updates etc...

  ### 8. Easy to use vulnerability scanner

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

So far, so good! It's hard to say what you dislike when you like everything in a product!

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Intruder is helping us with automated testing/scanning our web app for vulnerabilities and exploits we may miss. Also helps with meeting our compliance requirements!

  ### 9. Intruder (Keeping our Network Safe)

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jerry H. | Information Technology Operations Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 24, 2023

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

Easy to use and configure. The UI is great, and the Dashboard gives you all the information that you need in one place. You can dig deep into the scans and are provided with not only the details but links to the CVE. You can schedule scans as you wish, and the service also automatically scans new zero-day vulnerabilities. It automatically generates reports that are emailed to you. These reports can be used as prove that you are actively monitoring for external threats and misconfigurations that can leave you vulnerable. Works on Cloud, Hybrid and Stand-a-Lone Hardware Networks.

We use this every day!

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

Our Security and Network Teams have found nothing that we a displeased about

  ### 11. Intruder the One Stop Shop for vulnerability scanning

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ian H. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

I came across Intruder while searching for a vulnerability scanner and was impressed with how user-friendly it was compared to other options. Despite its simplicity, Intruder offers a wide range of features and integrations, Slack being the most useful for us. We had no trouble integrating it into our deployment processes via an easy-to-use MSI script.

The reporting and portal made it easy to access information and the remediation steps were clear and concise. The interface and reporting were excellent, with the executive summary being particularly precise and understandable to our executive team. Overall, Intruder made my job much easier and I highly recommend it.

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

Some agents would sometimes stop responding and the only fix was a re-install, this was further compounded by having then wait 30 days for the license to be released before re-adding, this also made re-imaging laptops as we had to wait 30 days for them to be re-added

Hopefully, this is a short-term issue and intruders awesome support will address this.

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Intruder gives us oversights and coverage of all I have devices and allows us to see where the vulnerabilities are what the issues are and how to remediate them

  ### 12. A Class Act

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** cory m. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

Every once in a while, you run into a company that gives you a good feeling.
Intruder is that kind of company.
Their customer service is top notch and their enthusiastic willingness to help their clients is a breath of fresh air.
They are a class-act.
They’ve managed to harness the significant power of the Nessus scanner and present it in an extremely user-friendly way to their clients, that’s easy to navigate.
Managing our scans was straightforward and the resulting information was clear, detailed and comprehensive.
It made our remediations easy.
Dealing with Intruder on all levels was a pleasure.

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

Everything worked well. Nothing to dislike.

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our industry requires internal vulnerability scans on a regular basis. Intruder solves that for us.

  ### 13. Intruder.io Makes Security Monitoring Effortless and Effective

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 25, 2023

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

My experience so far has been excellent, the web interface is "buttery smooth", easy to get started with, easy to use and affordable. Their support staff has been responsive and helpful. Adding targets, integrating with our cloud environment and integrating with JIRA were very simple. Once all our targets were setup, we built a weekly scan schedule which is fantastic.

However, one of my favorite features is integration with Microsoft Teams and automatic scans for emerging threats. For example, if I have started my weekend already, sometimes Intruder.io becomes aware of an emerging threat. It will immediately kickoff a new scan of our infrastructure to detect if we are vulnerable to this new threat. It will notify us via teams it is starting the scan, and notify when complete and what the findings were. So I can be at a kids sporting event on a saturday and get all these updates. It feels like we have a virtual employee working for us, watching our back for new threats, scanning for them, and then reassuring us we are okay.

I was able to purchase without contacting a sales rep. I was able to use the pricing sliders on their website to build the plan that is right for our business.

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

This may be a credit to Intruder versus a dislike. I'll explain. We have detected 2 "anomolies or vulnerabilities" that may have been false positives. However, I will say, there is strong evidence to suggest that these were not false positives, but that Intruder actually detected a real world anomoly. For example, it picked up UPNP exposure on an Azure resource that is not a VM we control or have visibility to. We ran our own scan and detected the same UPNP exposure, validating Intruders findings. The finding went away the next day on a followup scan using Intruder. After working with the Intruder team, we beleive this actually revealed the "man behind the curtain", meaning Microsoft Azure infrastructure that is never meant to be seen. While we will never know what this was, it may be a credit to Intruder for finding it and raising our attention to it.

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Persistent scanning of our public facing infrastructure, and producing reports we can use for audit and compliance.

  ### 14. Anyone who cares about security should be running intruder.io

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark T. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2023

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

We used to run automated vulnerability scanners, but since support for that ended, we've been unable to find one as easy to use until we found intruder.io. So simple to set up and start scanning your infrastructure with a 14 day free trial. Quickly identifies systems with known vulnerabilities within your production and office environments. Unlike previous systems I've used, we've been able to run internal scans of our product to be even more comprehensive. Be sure to check pricing closer; not as expensive as it would initially appear.

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

Don't use authentication license on production systems, intruder.io scans will change data within your system as part of the tests that are being run. This should be more obvious, lucky we tested on staging systems first.

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making us aware of security threats before would-be attackers can take advantage and we can take action to resolve these. Continuously scans for emerging threats, we can manually keep up otherwise.

  ### 15. Excellent tool for automated vulnerability scans

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2023

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

We have been using intruder.io for our company's vulnerability scans for a few years, and I am thoroughly impressed. First and foremost, the pricing is absolutely fantastic. The platform seamlessly integrates into our overall security toolbox, providing us with essential knowledge of the software that may be misconfigured or outdated. We can use the API to create our reporting of past scans, vulnerabilities, and how quickly we resolved the issue. The user-friendly interface makes it easy for our team to understand and address vulnerabilities effectively. Thanks to intruder.io, we now know that our systems are thoroughly tested and more secure. I highly recommend intruder.io to organizations seeking reliable and cost-effective security testing solutions.

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

Unauthenticated website scans can take quite some time to complete. The nice thing is their support team was very responsive when questioned about the length of time. The only other thing is there is not a lot of historical data within reports, so we had to create our own.

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using intruder.io as a piece of our overall security toolkit. It allows us to see misconfigured or outdated applications or operating systems and quickly patch them.

  ### 16. Easy & Reliable

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2024

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

It was very easy to set up for our web applications.

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

I wish the scans were faster. I also wish there was more detail in the reports.

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is giving us some assurance that our web applications are secure.

  ### 17. Good value and good experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephen D. | Chief Information Security Officer, Hospital & Health Care, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

Intruder provides good value. The cost of their services is lower than most competitors, but don't let that fool you into thinking you are getting an inferior product. Their Customer Support and Product teams cannot be beaten. Customer support is always reachable in a short amount of time and professional in all of my dealings with them. The Product Team has a feedback forum where product end-users can discuss and vote on product enhancements to fit their business needs.

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

The API cannot dive deep into the details of assets and their associated vulnerabilities. Our business needs changed from needing a giant list of vulnerabilities to wanting to filter on particular vulnerabilities and their associated assets for efficiency reasons.

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Intruder is solving the vulnerability visibility problem in our strategic focus areas.

  ### 18. Intruder helps to build more Proactive, Secure, and Agile IT Teams

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ben C. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 08, 2023

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

This platform enables my team not to waste time testing against known vulnerabilities and focus on hardening our services and solutions.

Intruder also provides a huge benefit in proactive Change detection, where it will advise when new instances or hosts are detected as well as any vulnerabilities that it may have, allowing for more agile change management. This also allows the teams to learn positively and move faster.

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

Once a threat is detected, it would be nice if there was a button on the detected threat to allow customers to retest and validate that their fix has resolved the vulnerability without having to run an unscheduled full gamut pen test to clear the issue out. This slows the remediation process. Having a button that can check and clear that one vulnerability would mean quicker cycle time and I am sure less expense for Intruder from a Cloud Compute standpoint.

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Intruder helps us solve:
- Proactive Change Detection
- Attack Surface Management
- Post Development and Patch Validation
- Hardened Cyber Security Posture

We have greater confidence from our Board that our team has an excellent grasp on the threats in the wild and that we are ensuring our services are safe.

  ### 19. Clear, Easy and Modern vulnerability scanning service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raphael F. | IT Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 16, 2023

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

Agent deployment
Modern interface
Clear PDF reports

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

no being able to remove "low" issues from reports

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It identifies vulnerabilities on our website, firewall and windows devices so we can patch efficiently. This helps greatly keeping up our cyber security compliance

  ### 20. Intruder.IO - MSP friendly, cost effective, powerful.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

The interface is easy for our team to use, informative, and responsive. The solution offers insights that were previously not available at this price point for the SMS marketplace.

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

Reports are currently cumbersome if wanting to send them to an external client. Scan an issue vs the entire network, which is a feature they are pushing out soon.

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As an MSP / MSSP focused on the SMB marketplace (5 - 100 users), finding easy-to-use, cost-effective, and robust tools is hard to come by. Intruder.IO has allowed us to layer on external and internal vulnerability scanning at scale to our entire client base. This same tool has consolidated complicated remediation into simple-to-follow directions, updating threats once resolved and allowing us to demonstrate our value to clients monthly.

  ### 21. Excellent service

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

Ease of use. Professional platform from Microsoft

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

I haven't found any dislikes as of yet, therefore recommend.

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vulnerabilities and penetration testing

  ### 22. A superb vulnerability scanner that's perfect for IT pros who are new to vulnerability scanning.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carlos R. | IT Support Technician, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2023

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

Intruder is a great stepping stone into the world of vulnerability scanning. Its UI is well-optimized, hip and informative, and the tagging system makes it easy to organize your targets. A target's raw scanner output, vulnerability description and remediation steps make it easy even for junior techs to remediate.

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

The installation process can be unforgiving if you mistype your target's name, requiring you to uninstall the agent and re-run the script instead of being able to rename the target from within the platform. So far, Intruder is very much targeted to single companies and not MSPs, making asset management and reporting messy.

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Intruder currently solves the intimidating leap IT professionals have to take when it comes to using complex and often confusing cybersecurity tools. Intruder isn't only well designed from a UI standpoint and modern, but it's also informative and friendly enough for even greener IT technicians to use when it comes to understanding and remediating vulnerabilities.

  ### 23. Convenient but thorough penetration and vulnerability testing wrapped in an affordable package!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Roy M. | Director of Information Technology, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

We were in need of a testing product that would test from the inside out and outside in. That's what first attracted us to Intruder. The product is well laid out with a clear, concise Cloud interface. Small footprint on internal devices reduces performance degradation. Thorough testing of all targets with well-documented results. Remediation instructions are excellent and easy to follow. Emerging threat scans may prove critical.

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

Distribution of the internal agent is still somewhat of a manual process. However, instructions were provided for distribution through Microsoft Intune and we have other packages capable of selective installations. Scripting makes the installation easier for a large installed base.

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were lacking on-demand/scheduled penetration testing of our public IPs and servers - Intruder fit the bill. While we have excellent patching capabilities and vulnerability reporting through our RMM and Endpoint Security products, we needed a product which would manage the process of performing complete vulnerability scans and more importantly, provide us with detailed remediation instructions. This is an area where Intruder shines. While we're just starting out with the product, we are anticipating a huge time savings compared with our prior methods of vulnerability elimination.

  ### 24. Excellent Alternative & Powered by Nessus

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tom M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2023

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

Intruder.io is an excellent tool that we've been able to test drive for quite some time before pulling the trigger. The team is highly responsive, and the reporting features are pretty impressive. Looking forward to diving in deeper and leveraging some of their latest features (API Vuln Scanning).

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

None at the current moment; however, will revise this review should issues arise. So far, the tool is pretty rock solid and checks all of the boxes. No complaints!

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pricing - Vulnerability scanning tools can be a bit outrageous in terms of pricing for small businesses. However, Intruder hit the mark in finding the right balance

  ### 25. Intruder is a great product giving peace of mind

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bruce A. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

Intruder keeps ahead of the threats that emerge every day. As threats emerge or sites are tested against them and we are notified of the results. TAkes away the constant worry of threats on my business.

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

Nothing, it is a great service with good reporting and notifications.

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The background monitoring of new threats, as well as the monthly complete threat testing saves my team the distraction and allows them to focus on productive work.

  ### 26. Adra & IntruderIO

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Richard N. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

Its simplicity makes it stand out in an over complicated sector. Intruder has a very transparent pricing model that is both effective and provides excellent value.

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

Its Microsoft 365 integration can be unhelpful on occasion. It can include some addresses that you may not need and exclude some that you do. Intruder does however roll out updates regularly so the performance of these integrations have improved.

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

External penetration testing has always been something we have done, over the years we have used several other products to plug this gap, most have been over complicated and required constant attention, Intruder solved this issue by being far more automated, its reduced the need for dedicated security analysts to perform vulnerability scans.

  ### 27. After a free trail period, very impressed! Will join!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fred K. | Managing director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 02, 2023

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

The software is easy to use and setup is not to difficult. Because we had an external PEN test done, i could compare the result and it was more extensive then the result we had. Nothing was missed! So easy to use and reliable.

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

There are not many things I dislike after my tree trial use. So I will start a subscription for our servers and software and will have to come back to this. Preferably not!

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our customers expect we do everything to guarantee the security of their data, which we handle in providing the services they want. As a small company, this needs a high level of automation and recurrent feedback. Intruder offers this in a way more manageable way than outsourcing this to third parties. I don't think the subscription model is cheap, but it is a good deal compared to outsourcing.

  ### 28. Simple, straight forward & easy to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

The Cloudbot feature handled our target management automatically, reducing overhead significantly. The Noise Reduction feature drew attention to actual issues so our DevSecOps teams could spend their limited resources fixing them. In addition, our SecOps team isn't chasing false positives or being overwhelmed by data fatigue. Intruder stood out in our proof of concept testing, which included MSPs and SaaS offerings, by being the only vendor to reduce specific findings and, more importantly, explain why it wasn't an issue. Plain and simple, quality over quantity here.

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

There hasn't been much to dislike about Intruder, but if you are looking for a "swiss army knife" type product to handle nearly every type of use case, then you are likely looking for something else.

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cloud and Corporate Perimeter Scanning
Attack Surface Management with Continuous Monitoring to notify Security of any new exposures or network changes
Simplified UI that provides a quick holistic view of attackers' point of view
Great Cloud Integration automation that reduces administrative overhead

  ### 29. Simple to use and easy to understand, keeps improving over time

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2020

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

Tried and tested scanning technology with a clean functional front end. We'vebeen on a journey with the vendor for several years and still rate them highly. They've been receptive to change requests and continue to develop in their capabilities.

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

Nothing really, they are moving in the right direction. The integration is good. Some of the reports are a bit basic, but they fill the purpose. They are not compliant with Cyber Essentials audits

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Rapid simple overview of external security posture with validated support and remediation options. This reduces our internal team's time taken to understand the potential impact. The reporting features continue to improve and we regularly use the dashboards as evidence of compliance and time to patch.

  ### 30. Finally we can get a comprehensive vulnerability scanner which works for us and is easy to manage.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Petr N. | IT specialist and security manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

We have been long looking for a solution where we would be able to easily manage all our endpoints exposed to the internet and to be informed proactively about emerging threads. While we tested several other solutions, first with intruder.io we found a tool where we do not need to waste more time than necessary. Add all our IPs and literally forget them. Scheduled scans and automatic scans of newly emerged vulnerabilities is simply the solution we were looking for. And best of all, after every scan or thread discovery we get an email - a great tool for lazy admins! The user interface is simple, clear and provides all the necessary information.

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

It is hard to tell what we disliked because till now we have not discovered any negative side.

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main requirement we had was to have an automated tool that would keep us informed about any new thread and immediately provide feedback on how well we were doing. Vulnerability scans belong to the most asked requirement by all of our customers, so we are happy to deliver near-online results from our weekly scheduled tests.

  ### 31. Excellent tool that provides exactly what we need, with minimal cognitive overhead for me

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Neil B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

It does one thing, and it does it well: easy to add a new host to monitor, with easy to understand reports and recommendations for mitigation. They don't try to upsell me, bullshit me. I wish all suppliers we used were like them.

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

I can't think of anuything to put in this box. I regularly get called by other suppliers who ask what they can do to win our business away from Intruder. And I tell them "no thanks".

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it to perform monthly penetration testing on all of our production servers. They stay on top of new vulnerabilities, so each month we're being tested against more and more.

  ### 32. Awesome vulnerability scanning platform! Easy to use with a clean interface.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tom K. | Network Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 01, 2023

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

Setup is a breeze and takes minutes to get started. The interface is one of the best I've seen and provides excellent insight with great reporting. Having straightforward pricing available on the website is very helpful. Overall, the platform was just what we wanted when searching for this type of solution. I can sleep better at night knowing Intruder is proactively protecting our network.

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

There's nothing that comes to mind for any dislikes.

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were looking for an automated vulnerability scanner to provide clear and concise knowledge of potential vulnerabilities and remediation. The emerging threats scan feature is helpful and ensures of staying on top of new vulnerabilities.

  ### 33. Easy to use, accurate, reliable and actionable security scanning tool.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

Accurate and actionable results that my staff and I can easily understand and resolve. Intruder.io is constantly updated with the latest vulnerabilities to ensure that our sites are scanned for all possible threats. Integrated with both our ticketing and chat platforms easily and is cost-effective.

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

It would be great to include the ability to automatically add registered domains and IP ranges to be scanned by the tool. The ability to scan critical partners or vendors and provide send them that feedback would be great.

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ensuring that we're aware of all known vulnerabilities for the software we use and meeting our pen testing requirements. Intruder allows us to catch and action any security issues received quickly.

  ### 34. Great Experience for Vulnerability Scanner

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hayley M. | DevOps Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2022

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

I like how simple the interface is and how many details the scan provides for resolving vulnerabilities. The support team has great communication and is very efficient in responding to any inquiry. I also like that there is a history of all of the scans and you can schedule scans. We now can check monthly which if any vulnerabilities come up we can resolve very quickly.

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

It be nice for the reports to have both tag and IP address - this is a very small detail and not fully a necessity

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Finding vulnerabilities and solutions for securing our servers, having a scan every month to check more frequently to avoid any vulnerabilities from being missed, and being able to store all of our scans in one spot that is very organized.

  ### 35. Perfect security monitoring for small and medium businesses

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bob B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2023

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

Intruder monitors a quite comprehensive list of risks. Reporting is clear and actionable. Best value in security for small/medium business!

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

Intruder was very simple to implement and required little or no maintenance.

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Intruder notifies us continually of any penetration risks we have, and it's clear how to address them. I love this product!

  ### 36. Highly Recommend for small businesses who need to prove security

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** E. Alana J. | Founder and CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 25, 2023

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

I found intruder when we were required by universities to prove our security - as a small firm we couldn't afford to pay much but needed to prove our due diligence. Intruder allowed us to do this.

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

Absolutely nothing went wrong. Regular reports kept us on track and issues stayed small.

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest problem with security is that it takes you away from your real business of satisfying your clients with your business model. Intruder comes in by email, makes it easy to address any issues, and let's you get on with your real business quickly.

  ### 37. Solid product moving in the right direction

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason C. | Principal Solutions Architect, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

Backed by Tenable Nessus; proven vuln scanning. User-friendly interface. Integrates with Azure DevOps and MS Teams. Overall solid product.

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

Needs better support for MSPs. I understand there are numerous improvements coming soon which address this.

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Many cyber insurance policies require vulnerability scanning. This is an important offering in our IT Security stack to help our clients get better rates and comply with Federal, State, and local authorities and legislation.

  ### 38. Prompt Support, Great Coverage of tests

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nishit M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 03, 2023

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

Comprehensive tests suite
Rapid and professional support
Reporting
Simple Vulnerability Management
Infra scans

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

Need a comprehensive report export option for compliance

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

VAPT Scans
Attack surface management
API Security
Vulnerability scan behind Auth walls

Intruder allows you to save time taking care of these needs quickly and deliver better business outcomes.

  ### 39. The system is easy to set up, and is incredibly reliable and effective.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark L. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

The portal is easy to use. Setup is straightforward and it's crystal clear. Most importantly you can see an immediate view of your assets and their status as regards compliance, and quickly establish whether or not there is any remediation required.

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

I would prefer a different commercial model, where perhaps you can group assets together rather than simply have to pay a fee per endpoint scanned. It seems pretty expensive, although I think it's a 'cant be without' and I wont be leaving, it could be better value.

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is hard to demonstrate compliance. Intruder provides me with an effective tool to show clients and internal stakeholders that we are safe and compliant with current threats and standards.

  ### 40. Easy, intuitive, just what we needed!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Human Resources | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

The team were helpful onboarding us. The interface is intuitive, and I can get scans at any time I need, along with reports I can share with our clients, which makes the scanning scope very clear. The cherry on the cake is the ability to create Jira issues when something that needs attention is detected. I was surprised at how easy it was to set up everything. All in all, very happy.

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

Honestly, nothing. It's exactly what we needed. I spent some time researching the many approaches and tools available for vulnerability scanning / penetration testing and this one hit the sweet spot for us - giving the balance of cost, functionality and ease of use that suits our application.

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I know the system is regularly scanned, including against emerging threats. I know that, if anything that needs attention comes up, it will be automatically added to our Jira board. It's freeing my time to focus on core activities, while reassuring me of our status and giving me clear reports I can share with clients.

  ### 41. Easy to use for Pentesting, I recommend it

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Moritz N. | Data Scientist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2023

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

intruder has a user friendly interface. It was easy to do the pentesting for multiple Websites at the Same time.

One Feature that i really like is the ability to automatically identify vulnerabilities in web applications, reducing the time and effort required to manually scan for weaknesses.

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

Sometimes it was unclear What Tests are really used to test the Website. Maybe add a Feature to select specific attaks or Methode.

The report that can be create is fine, but i think that the PDF can be polished more.

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I want to Automatically scan for weaknesses, and have an overview on All acittivies. Intruder does this very well.

  ### 42. intruder gives a full external view of my exposed digital landscape

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christopher S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

As an organisation grows its hard for a CISO to have full visibility of every external digital interface a business may deploy, intruder gives me this,

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

Nothing to enter here
Nothing to enter here

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As an organisation expands, ensuring the security of all digital assets from the moment of their deployment can be a daunting task for a CISO. Furthermore, it is essential to monitor these assets for emerging threats continuously. In this regard, Intruder has been invaluable in providing me with the confidence that our digital assets are securely configured and monitored against potential cyber threats. As such, Intruder has become a critical component of our business's cybersecurity and vulnerability management program.

  ### 43. Comprehensive vulnerability scanner that is simple to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Biotechnology | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

Intruder is a comprehensive vulnerability scanner that crawls to all corners of the web app, looking for holes. Their support team is eager to help, answer questions, and resolve issues. The user interface is simple and does not have unnecessary bells and whistles! It's working great for us; knowing that our app is scanned routinely for vulnerabilities gives us peace of mind. Scanning daily for emerging threats is a definite bonus.

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

It'll be great if scans can be paused and resumed or scheduled to run during non-working hours. It'll be useful when the scans take a long time (many days!) to complete. Also, generating a partial report will be helpful if the scan is canceled.

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is important for our business to ensure that our web app and data are secure from hackers. Intruder provides the tools and services to help us identify vulnerabilities with automated scans.

  ### 44. Best vulnerability scaner!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

Intruder exceeded all our expectations.
It is a quality product that smartly evaluates system vulnerabilities. Only exploitable vulnerabilities are detected.
The greatest value of this product is the excellent online chat support, which will help you with everything in case of problems.
Another big plus is that in the case of a small graphic problem found, the developers fixed the error in a month.
The response of the support team is incredibly fast in all aspects.
The interface of the intruder is very nicely graphically processed.
I recommend trying it!
It's addicting!

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

The nessus internal scanner slows down the PC a lot during scanning.

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All ambiguities were resolved in an incredibly fast time in the online chat.
Intruder monitors critical vulnerabilities on our systems with an emergency scan - this is a great benefit of this product

  ### 45. Great onboarding experience

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2023

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

When testing out the service initially, their onboarding team were super helpful and answered a loooong list of questions that we peppered them with. We're just getting set up, and so far so good, but I wanted to call out their initial sales team, just a great experience.

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

None so far. The experience has been excellent.

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a service that could help us with API and portal security testing.
This will save our internal QE teams an enormous amount of time setting these tests up manually, and help us find security issues before they hit production.

  ### 46. Intruder is easy to use.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brodie L. | Technology Operations Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 01, 2022

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

Intruder is easy to use and even easier to set up. Ideal for orgs that care greatly about their security, but don't yet have a fully matured InfoSec team. I especially appreciated the ease of connecting with other tools and services -- from the obvious ones like AWS and GCP to creating a Zapier automation that makes tickets for failing checks.

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

The overall layout and design of the website & tool could use some graphic design love. I think that the quality of the product is a bit obscured by the uninviting UI.

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Intruder, we're continuing to stay ahead of potential threats and remain SOC2 compliant while our organization is still only double digits in headcount.

  ### 47. Great Peace of Mind

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2022

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

Intruder.io gives us great peace of mind that our sites have the most common security issues patched. When first adding new sites to Intruder we get a great list of issues that need to be fixed, as well as updates on new issues that may arise along the way. Great to have a vuln. scanning service running for us in the background.

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

We'd love to use the Authenticated Web App Scanning feature, but the price jump is too prohibitive for anyone I work with. We'd love to see a better price point that the smallest businesses can afford for authenticated scans

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're monitoring some older websites to keep them free of vulnerabilities until we can upgrade them to new frameworks. It's nice having some confidence that older websites aren't riddled with security issues.

  ### 48. Nothing but Good things to Say about Intruder.io

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ethan B. | Information Technology Project Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

They don't waste any time getting to the bottom of your issue, providing you with examples, and best steps for remediation. Super fast response and quick resolution, all chat based easy to understand, send screenshots back and forth and they'll always take the extra minute to confirm answers to all your questions

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

They were closed for the Queen's death so we had to wait a few days for service, but that was completely acceptable. That was really the only negative thing I've ever experienced with them, it was hard to find anything to fill this field with.

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Intruder is helping us get a better understanding of our client's network security needs, using their state of the art vulnerability scanning engine to protect us from vulnerabilities we haven't even heard of yet!

  ### 49. Great Tool to Be Proactive in Network Security

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Logistics and Supply Chain | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 26, 2022

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

Intruder is a great tool for getting visibility to your infrastructure. One of the best features is the report for the endpoint. The detals about vulnerabilities, the details where the vulnerability was deteted within the targets system, and remediation tactics give a great starting point for taking action. With these reports on targets, I am able to be proactive in my approch to securtiy rather than reactive to an exploited vulnerabilty.

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

I don't particularly like that I cannot dig deeper into a target's file system to scan for data that could be targeted in an attack. The greatest opportunity I see with Intruder is that the tool that I would like the ability to do is scan the file system for personally identifiable information. Not being able to dive deeper into the target to see what the file system contains and look for data that would be targeted should someone gain unauthorized access to a resource. I

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Intruder is allowing us to be proactive in our approach to network security. Scanning a device for potential threats and then filling or monitoring those gaps saves time. In testing the tool, we identified an exiisting threat in one of our systems that we were unaware of. We were able remediate the vulnerability before it could be exploited. The benefits of this tool are it saves time and resources.

  ### 50. Intruder helps us keep patched and safe

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Legal Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 01, 2022

**What do you like best about Intruder?**

Intruder acts as a continual pen-tester for our servers, regularly monitoring our systems and checking that the latest available patches are applied and vulnerabilities mitigated or addressed. It provides some peace of mind that our security is up to date, hopefully making us less likely to fall victim to malware or other types of virus.

**What do you dislike about Intruder?**

The policy of having to wait 4 weeks to reuse a licence when one is released can be frustrating. For example, we have just replaced 4 domain controllers, we now have to wait four weeks to be able to re-use the licences taken from the old ones.

**What problems is Intruder solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides a clear dashboard and overview of our server estate, proactively alerting us to potential issues and providing remediation advice. It helps the server team keep on top of threats and enables oversight to ensure they are addressed.
