# Which real-time billing systems manage millions of API calls daily without errors?

Sequence (4.9★, 74 reviews): reviewers describe usage events streaming in through the API with invoices building themselves, explicitly built so "nothing falls through the gaps." Being an earlier-stage vendor, a few reviewers note some enterprise-scale maturity still catching up to the product vision.

Zenskar (4.8★, 91 reviews): reviewers highlight ingesting usage data automatically from 200+ sources and eliminating manual calculation entirely, with AI contract ingestion reviewers call accurate rather than "simple OCR." The recurring caveat is a learning curve when first configuring advanced usage rules.

Zuora (3.9★, 311 reviews): the most enterprise-heavy product of the three by far, and reviewers do credit it with reliable, accurate billing "at scale." That scale comes at a cost though — complexity, a steep learning curve, and slower support response show up repeatedly, and it's the lowest-satisfaction product in the category.

I’d pressure-test reconciliation rather than throughput claims alone. A platform can ingest millions of events quickly and still create billing problems if events are duplicated, dropped, delayed, or rated incorrectly. I’d want to reconcile raw usage events against rated usage and final invoice amounts at production-like volume before trusting the system at scale.
