It organizes records really well. **What do you dislike about intelliPath ePA?** There is nothing that I dislike about the software. **What problems is intelliPath ePA solving and how is that benefiting you?** The ease to find what i'm searching about and it makes it easy to find anything in the system. ### 2. Make the user job easier. **Recommendations to others considering intelliPath ePA:** Check boxes and attractive mainframe is a must **What problems is intelliPath ePA solving and how is that benefiting you?** My company has a team that attempts to problem solve internally before making out reach to the intellipath external team. ### 3. Also, it is nice to be able to work on them after hours and at times on the weekend. This is one of the better third party review systems we deal with. They are timely and reasonable. Their clinical reviewers are always professional and to the point. **What do you dislike about intelliPath ePA?** Customer service sometimes is not great when you have to call in to tech support. It is also frustrating that when things spend sometimes it will not allow you to upload clinical documents and they have to be faxed in, which takes a long time and puts a burden on our fax server. **Recommendations to others considering intelliPath ePA:** The users need to be medically competent as medical information submitted needs to be accurate and if entered wrong authorization may be denied and require appeal, physician review or even not be eligible for reconsideration depending on the plan. **What problems is intelliPath ePA solving and how is that benefiting you?** Saving time that use to be spent on long holds. ### 4. It is helpful to be able to do this online as opposed to waiting on hold for long periods of time. ### 5. Having sets of questions specific to each procedure, allows some to be auto approved, which benefits us and the patient. **What do you dislike about intelliPath ePA?** When submitting requests, there is no function to go "back." So if you accidentally click something incorrectly, or put in the incorrect physician, code, etc, you had to cancel and start over. This can be very tedious, especially when you are further along in the case. **Recommendations to others considering intelliPath ePA:** Provide users with training time in order to allow for maximum benefit use. **What problems is intelliPath ePA solving and how is that benefiting you?** Obtaining utilization review and clinical decision of approval to provide insurance companies with whether or not diagnosis criteria is met for medical necessity. This helps to avoid denied and unpaid claims which saves the hospital money and time. ### 6. It is very user friendly and responses are very quick. I feel it is one of the better programs for authorizations out there. I think it is pretty comprehensive and its ease of use makes it very attractive. **What do you dislike about intelliPath ePA?** I haven't found an expedite feature. Although decisions are quick, it would be nice to have an expedited review choice available. I often have patient's with more emergent needs and I feel like it would be helpful to expedite if necessary. **Recommendations to others considering intelliPath ePA:** Although it is only useful for certain health plans, it is a very efficient service. It has multiple platforms within the program and I find it to be one of the most user friendly sites. Even if you do have a technical problem, they are excellent in regards to customer service over the phone. I have never had to wait an extended period of time to get answers or to verbally request an authorization. People are always friendly and willing to help you. **What problems is intelliPath ePA solving and how is that benefiting you?** I get quick decisions for authorizations for our sleep study patients. I find that it does a pretty good job with screening questions and it makes my job so much easier. I get answers quickly so that my patients know that their services are approved. My co-workers also use it for different radiological approvals and they are also impressed at the ease of use. ### 9. It is very fast and easy to follow. The survey questions are straight forward and it is a breeze to upload documentation. **What do you dislike about intelliPath ePA?** Hold times are very high when you need help. When you do reach a rep, it is frustrating to be transferred again to speak to a nurse. I wish there was a nurse option. **Recommendations to others considering intelliPath ePA:** They should get more phone support so hold times are not too long. They should answer make an option for a nurse reviewer so we do not have to be transferred so much. **What problems is intelliPath ePA solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are able to get prior authorizations very fast with this tool. The survey questions are simple and straight-forward to answer.
