Our reporting has been significantly enhanced with the unlimited report capabilities. Calculations are extremely fast, even while using state-by-state, current and deferred calculations. The robust data functionality has made our processes very effective and efficient. This product has elevated our overall tax provisioning experience. Longview has been essential for us in preparing for the OECD’s BEPS, Pillar Two. The software has been critical in helping us access the data for calculating as well as automating US GAAP to GloBE adjustments obtained from our financial consolidating tool. We can calculate and track Globe ETRs by jurisdiction, create a second set of tax books under GLOBE rules, and maintain data and determine our safe harbor eligibility. The best part about the system is the very versatile functionality of the product. My company has a very complex business structure and we are always finding issues finding data tools that fit our unique model. Longview has been able to do this while maintaining data integrity and making data input and retrieves user friendly - once you are familiar with the application. Not only can we input all our financials (revenue, expenses, payroll) into the system, but we can also break up the data by account, media type, and multiple other categories that are essential to analyzing our business accurately. Additionally, the application can be access both through a website online and through Longview for Excel. As Excel is a vital program that the Finance department uses, the ability to pull Longview information from within any Excel spreadsheet is an amazing capability that we do not take for granted. **What do you dislike about Longview Tax?** The only discouraging quality that I've encountered with Longview has been the difficulty some users have had with learning its certain complexities. As with any data program, there are always specifics that need to be followed for the system to work properly. Longview is no exception - there are a lot of details and steps that go into using the system (especially within the Excel version) for data to pull for the correct scenario, time period, forecast, etc. There have also been issues with Longview functioning properly in conjunction with other programs. There have been a few notable software compatibility issues and even computer version issues with using the application. Luckily, our company has a Longview support team working with us to ensure that all questions and concerns are addressed. They have also helped train us on how to build reports that adapt to our company and department needs. **Recommendations to others considering Longview Tax:** I definitely would consider utilizing a Longview support team the same way that my company does. The team is always available for extra training and to address any issues that we encounter along the way of bettering our experience with the system. The team is very knowledgeable about the program and can help determine solutions for your company in a much shorter time than the typical user would be able to. **What problems is Longview Tax solving and how is that benefiting you?** The main issue that we have had in the past with data housing has been finding a system that can work around our company's unique business and revenue model. Our business and revenue model does not just fit into the typical cookie cutter mold of most data management systems. Longview has been a game changer on this front. By having the ability to use Longview in conjunction with Microsoft Excel, we have been able to build custom reports, pull custom data, and analyze this data in the way that works most efficiently for us.
