"Powerful, Reliable Data Integration at Scale with Strong Monitoring"
4/5
What do you like best about Informatica Data Integration and Engineering?

What I like best about Informatica Data Integration and Engineering is its ability to handle complex data integration workflows across multiple systems while maintaining strong data quality and reliability. The platform provides powerful ETL/ELT capabilities, good connectivity with cloud and on-premises data sources, and robust transformation options. I also appreciate its scalability for large data volumes and the monitoring and error-handling capabilities, which make it easier to troubleshoot integrations and maintain stable data pipelines. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Informatica Data Integration and Engineering?

One thing I dislike about Informatica Data Integration and Engineering is the learning curve, especially for users who are new to the platform. Some configurations and troubleshooting can feel complex, and identifying the root cause of integration failures can be time-consuming. The interface and development experience could also be more intuitive in certain areas. Additionally, licensing and implementation costs can be relatively high, particularly for smaller organizations or teams with simpler integration needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Data Integration and Quality Across Complex Environments"
4/5
What do you like best about Informatica Data Integration and Engineering?

What I like best is its ability to connect and manage data across complex environments. It provides strong tools for integration, transformation, and data quality, which makes it easier to bring information from multiple systems together and make it reliable and usable across the organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Informatica Data Integration and Engineering?

The biggest drawback is the complexity. It is incredibly powerful, but that power can come with a steep learning curve, significant implementation effort, and licensing that can be difficult to understand and predict. For many organizations, especially nonprofits and associations, it can feel like more platform than they actually need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Enterprise-Grade Data Integration at Scale with Informatica"
4/5
What do you like best about Informatica Data Integration and Engineering?

What I like most about Informatica is its ability to handle complex enterprise data integration at scale. In the e-commerce and Salesforce OMS ecosystems I’ve worked with, data was distributed across Salesforce, ERP, inventory, fulfillment, payment, and other downstream systems.

For example, in an OMS architecture, we had to bring together order, customer, product, inventory, and fulfillment data from multiple systems and make sure the right information reached Salesforce at the right time. Informatica’s ability to handle transformation, orchestration, data quality, and large-volume data movement is particularly valuable in that kind of environment.

From an architecture perspective, I also like that it allows me to keep heavy data processing and transformation outside Salesforce. Salesforce can focus on customer and business processes, while Informatica provides the dedicated data integration layer.

That separation becomes especially important as the ecosystem grows—it gives me better scalability, governance, and maintainability than trying to solve every integration requirement directly within Salesforce. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Informatica Data Integration and Engineering?

From my perspective, I’d like a simpler developer experience, stronger real-time observability, and easier impact analysis across complex integration pipelines. Informatica is powerful, but that power can sometimes come with a steep learning curve and significant governance overhead. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A steady tool for scheduled data pipelines, not a casual click-and-go product"
3/5
What do you like best about Informatica Data Integration and Engineering?

I like that we can put transformation rules in one mapping, instead of keeping similar scripts in several places. Once a job is designed, the same pipeline can run on a schedule and bring source data into the shape we need. Connectors cover the systems we use, so we do not start from a blank file every time. For our team, the value is less “beautiful screen” and more “the data arrived this morning in the expected format.” After a few standard jobs were stable, the next request became easier to estimate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Informatica Data Integration and Engineering?

The mapping screen can become heavy when the logic grows. A failed job is not always easy to read at first, so someone who knows the tool still has to look at it. Moving a change from development to production also needs care. I would not give this to a person who only uses Salesforce reports. It works, but it expects an owner. If that owner is busy, even a small field change waits longer than it should. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
